Ursolon 197 Share Posted April 4, 2012 Ive got a question. I have a town, and will soon upgrade to a city. A resident in my town has asked to create a "sister-village" to our city, and will pay taxes to the main city of our group. My question is: does this make us a kingdom? Actually, in historically correct terms, this would make you a proper fief. There would be the lords castle that governed the farm land/ village near it. In LotC terms, however, you could always define yourself as an unofficial kingdom...
Ursolon 197 Share Posted April 6, 2012 Another question: So if you have a village and your population has grown enough that you have created a town charter, to gain more land, would the new plot be 40x40 total or would it be a 25x25 along with a 40x40? So for example, I already have a 25x25 plot and I'm expanding for a 40x40 one. Will the 40x40 be added to the side of my already existing plot to become a 65x65 plot or will it just add 15x15 to it? It would just become 40x40 and also you didn't do your math right. 40x40 + 25x25 isn't 65x65

Neri 3590 Share Posted April 6, 2012 What's the server policy on town/cities popping up right in the waters outside another nation? We have a island town a stone throw away from Normandor that was built in the middle of the water. They don't wish to be part of us however. We used to have a rule that settlements had to be at least 200 blocks from a Nation if they not part of it. This is pretty much common sense, since two settlements right next to each other would most likely not be economically viable, due to them competing for the same resources. If you don't like them on your land and you have superior numbers, why not run them off?~ That's what Warclaims are for - a Just War!~
Ursolon 197 Share Posted April 6, 2012 It would just become 40x40 and also you didn't do your math right. 40x40 + 25x25 isn't 65x65 Actually, I don't think this is fair. You pay the 14k to get a 25x25 plot, or you use your diamond VIP to get the plot... But if you use the VIP for it, then you can't use the VIP for the town plot, so... if you just made a town, outright, you technically get "more bang for your buck". Trouvo 205 Share Posted April 10, 2012 If your town is not striving enough to afford an upgrade...then maybe you shouldnt upgrade
Cresaran 81 Share Posted April 11, 2012 I am planing on making a City, do you already have to have an accepted Town or Village charter to make a city charter?

Tigergamer 218 Author Share Posted April 13, 2012 Right, I'm going to quickly clear up some questions in 'short'. 1) When starting a 'development' you start with either a Village or Town, Then work your way up to a City. 2) If you wish to upgrade your Plot from Village to town, Or Town to City or any of the others, You are NOT refunded your money from what you last payed. For example I pay 14k for a Village, I do not get that back when I upgrade. Keep the questions coming and if you have questions unrelated to 'Charters' still be sure to Pm these. Thanks
Cresaran 81 Share Posted April 13, 2012 So if I used my Diamond VIP plot for a town. Then I wanted to upgrade to a city, I would need 2 different people's VIP plots? Rather than using mine and someone-elses
firsal 0 Share Posted April 23, 2012 I'm looking to make a village or town somewhere. Some questions: 1. If i upgrade a town plot to a city plot, will the original 40x40 plot become 100x100?? 2. If I upgrade a village plot to a town or city plot, will the protection become up to bedrock???
Ancora (pandalex12) 20 Share Posted April 24, 2012 So if someone signed your charter and they're a Diamond VIP and willing to, can you use their plot for the charter village/town if they want to contribute?
