Aislin lays his golden broadsword across his lap and begins to clean it.

Great the boys ready, we're finally doing what we were born to do.

"Let it be known that all Salvus Refugee's are welcome to seek shelter in Alras. My humble hand extends to those in need."

"Your humble hand? You threaten our land, plan attacks against our nation. Your greed and hunger for conquest is ony surpassed by you desire for coin. How many families will be left without sons, without fathers, without brothers? Your attacks will cause anger to those who have lived and worked here, their sweat and blood absorbed by the tilled soil. I do not think they will so easily succumb to joining a nation ruled by such a man of little honor."

Of little honor? I know of no living man with a greater sense of justice than Syrio Forel. Yes: we shall make war on your nation - but not its people. We make war on the corrupt label called 'Salvus', not those whom live under that label.

We care little for conquest, much less for coin. Alras is by far the most prosperous nation in the world, we do not need to expand our wealth further. We do this for the people whom Salvus claims to rule.

* On his travels , selling various goods , he hears rumours of many nations going at each other *

Pffft. What's with all the violence , why kill a person when ye' can share an' ale with that person ! I'm sure most o' the people in Salvus are very nice , yet they are attacked ? ..... Why not just settle it with a drinkin' contest..Much more fun and no deaths..Well somebody could die from ale poisoning , but that's not the point ! Eat , drink and be merry I say !

"And neither are you. I've been a resident of Salvus for too long to just let things go. This... Corruption talk is no sense! Everything is based on false information! Now, all I can do is to watch my homeland crumble before me, and my friends wither in the havoc of war. Is this right? Is this genocide "okay"? If you believe that this is what we residents want, then you are so wrong, High King Syrio."

"Over the past few years I have sent caravans of supplies to Salvus to help out the people, I 'av witnessed Dawn let Bandits run her nation and harm 'er people to protect her own arse, I have confronted political officials of Salvus and asked why isn't Dawn doing anything about the problems of Salvus' people they are just as daft as ye, dey 'av no idea. Dawns motives are not for the greater good of the people and that is widely known. Pertaining to your statement of "Genocide" if I see one Alrasian soldier lay a hand on an unarmed who poses no threat to them, I shall personally execute the insubordinate myself."

[ As my character has mot likely returned home to Branborough , I must ask this OOC. Please note , just because this is OOC , it isn't an OOC attack , just me wanting to fill my curiosity and it would be odd for my character to get extremely involved.

Anyway , If the nations are fighting for the greater good of Salvus to try and get rid of corruption and help the people , why are they claiming it and destroying it ? Why not just get rid of the Government ? ]

At Ascella, Jack Mortis speaks inspiration to the men gathered at the gate; they have just now heard the news. "Brothers! the bandits of Salvus have taken more than land and loved ones." He stops, his mild and commanding eyes surveying the soldiers. "They have robbed the citizens of Solace and of Ascella of our confidencte! Yes, our strategies saved Ascella once from bandits, but it did not save our spirit! The people of Solace are shaken and broken... only grateful for a tomorrow with less suffering." Another pause, he catches his breath as more join the crowd. "Is this the legacy that Salvus should leave to their children? a level of anxiety and self doubt not seen since our ancestors fled Aegis?!"

He grins briefly, his voice now resonating across the whole courtyard. Behind him the sun recedes into the horizon.

"If we fail, what kind of world would those children rebuild? if at all?! could they progress, knowing that we had been powerless to reclaim their future? And what if that future saw another rise of dictators or bandits? Would our descendants rise to meet them in battle, or crumple in meek defeat at what they believe to be their inevitable extinction? For this reason alone, the dictators and criminals of Salvus must fall. For when dictators die, the power they took to the people will return to the people! We have to prove to ourselves that we CAN do it, and leave that proof as this war's greatest monument... The long hard road back to humanity, or the regressive ennui of once proud Aegis."

No one starts a slow clap, and no tears roll down cheeks. No contrived bullshit, instead there is silence. Jack speaks for the last time in the speech.

"This is the choice... it has to be made now."

Then the uproar... the response of a hundred listeners.

"HUZZAH!!!!"

Are ye completely igorin' th' fact that yer people already want to burn ye to th' ground? The only families that would be effected by this are th' families that support th' witch and her corrupt ruling.

"Boy?" Robin scoffs, "Perhaps old age has came to you quicker than it has come to me, you seem rather shortsighted to not be able to distinguish appearances. You may need to see an apothecary lest you lose sigh of everything, including your goals."

"The fear you hold over losing your title is evident. Quaint, and even adorable! Perhaps when Pok, Mirtok, Syrio, Renati, Myself and Godfrey are sitting on the ruins of your beloved Queen's palace you will finally see where you have errored."

A stout, shadowy, masked figure observes off from a distance. He carries his left arm in a sling and walks with an apparent limp, towards a wall to lean against. He looks into his flask, staring down into the slight glimmers of light reflected up by the dark and slightly foamy liquid he chuckles. Muttering in a harsh and gruff tone to himself he says.

Ye peacekeep'rs are goin' te 'ave their 'ands full eh? Guud te know de blood heathens will be deal' wit' suun. Yer whole ci'y be corrup' an' ungodl'. Ye try te defen' yerself when ye 'ave magics an' witches an' unrighteous death. Take de time te pray te yer false gods peacekeep'rs. Fer nu prep'rati'n will save ye from wha' is te come...
