shiftnative 3103 Share Posted April 18, 2012 I'm rewording and consolidating options players have with donator land claims, but while I do so - here is a list of your options. Every $100 Donated, you are awarded 50,000 minas worth of land claim. your options include, -A plot in the wilds, no charter necessary - although preferred -A plot in protected territories, a charter is needed but no cost necessary. -Purchase additional landplots for existing kingdoms, You can purchase guard towers, horse/boat travel, an inn & more - For a village/town/city and help them prosper. (We've got a lot of towns! I suggest doing this!) Here is a link to the additional land-plots thread - click here You may recall your claim and use it elsewhere with the aid of a GM, however - It will not go down to bedrock after the claim has been used once before. Sultan 3953 Share Posted April 18, 2012 What I understood is that we are not allowing new citys, towns etc, out of the borders of nations. Good :
。◕‿‿◕。 Hawk Whitestorm 715 Share Posted April 18, 2012 So kinda like a "grant" system? You don't actually hold the money, but are free to use it on charters?
shiftnative 3103 Author Share Posted April 18, 2012 So kinda like a "grant" system? You don't actually hold the money, but are free to use it on charters? Aye - it's been this way since we've had charters - Diamond VIP for example allows your to purchase a town-plot for free (50,000 minas), but we haven't been clear on just all of the options and I aim to make them so - In a fashion that suggests the bringing together of players

Alan 1815 Share Posted April 19, 2012 If only roleplay were the decider for the receiving of a plot. Ah well. Carry on. You make it sound so easy! Do go on! :P I have to say, I agree with Smooth. I mean, it's an entirely different issue that I probably shouldn't be getting into, but it's not like you can just assemble a few signatures and a fair amount of cash and then start a nation. Ideally, the best way to go about a nation would be to start as a town or village by having a currently existing nation sell a plot to you, then once the population is too great, another village is started or it at least grows into a city. Then, after more population increase, even more cities and towns form. After a while, these separate towns and cities unite under one government, and a nation is formed. It is a process with many steps, not just signing a charter :P. If I'm not mistaken, Native, you appear to agree as well, but you seem to believe that it is easier said than done. I think the easiest way to go about fixing the problem is to only have village and town charters available, give people a certain plot of land to work with and they do what they can. Once they ACTUALLY overflow (which would be after a set amount of people live in the town/village, 10-15 for example), then they contact you or a charter master to "upgrade" them to a city for a set amount of minas. This is just my three cents, however (Cause I'm not so cheap that I'm only willing to give my two cents :P). EDIT: As I said, this is an entirely different subject than the one at hand, so depending on the replies to this, I might take the idea and post it in its own thread.
