The Dwarven Mining Guild

Founded by Darius Irongut in the city of Kal'Uruguan, around 10 years before the evacuation of Aegis, the Dwarven Mining Guild was created for the sole purpose of organizing the Dwarven mining force into a machine that could rival nations. For the Smithing Guild, it provided a cheap source of ore. For those who new the guild in its early years, they knew of it's glory. I, Darius Irongut, after several years of baseness from the guild, aim to bring it back up to the state that it was in when I started it. For that is my promise and so it will be done.

The Mining Guild, which has fallen on hard times with the moving of the cities, has been handed off to me, Dominic Dawnsworn, by Paragon Kjell to oversee, reorganize, and bring it back to its full power and potential so it can provide ore and stone for the kingdom.

Trading

The Head Miner will send other high ranking members of the guild to make trade deals, as well as traveling himself. This means traveling to other companies, cities, and guilds throughout Asulon.

Use of the Mine

By joining the guild, you gain access to all of our mines. As you advance your rank in the guild, you may receive access to other guild properties.

Festivities

On occasion a contest of mining skill will be held for members to showcase their mining prowess. The most prominent will involve trying to find a certain object that we will not name within an area filled with stone. After which a feast with drinks will be held and prizes will be awarded.

High Ranking Members

High ranking members will receive portions of the guilds wealth when they need it, as well as support from other members. The Head Miner will go out of his way to help these members out in their time of need.

Member Responsibilities

Guild Ore

You must give 500 minas worth of ores at the price set by the Doyen of Economics to the Head Miner each Elven week personally or place it in your designated chest (preferred). Failure to do so for two or more Elven weeks will result in explosion from the guild. This will also contribute to your rank within the guild, the more ore you give, the more you will be considered for ranking up. Other ores are also welcome and would benefit the guild greatly. May be waived by the Head miner under certain situations.

Design and Architecture

This duty usually falls under that of the architecture guild, but they cannot be pushed to design and carve out every crevice of the Dwarven kingdom.

Expeditions

Occasionally we may go an expedition to look for a new suitable place to mine. When this happens, you are expected to come and help.

Rules

1. Stealin Ores ye will face severe punishment.

2. Creatin unsafety mineshafts is ONE time warnin (( If its 1x1 or Xraying Banned or permanately remove from our mines.))

3. If yer minin 'nd some other dwarf takes yer ore ask a guard if ye can't take it back yerself.

4. Follow 'ow the Halls and Mineshafts are supposed to be built.

5. If ye find a Ravine 'nd ye don't inform a 'ead miner yer goin to be punished.

6. If ye find abandoned mineshafts 'nd ye don't inform a 'ead miner ye will be punished.

7. Minin alone isn't safe always 'ave a partner with ye.

8. Carry around antidotes 'nd bandages some lads will get injured.

9. Ye see any corruption tell the Kings, or Overseer.

10. Ye Minin a Mineshaft ye will finish yer mineshaft regardlesst find if ye don't find any ore.

11. Coal 'nd Cobble stone is always needed don't think it be a waste.

12. Fill up the holes ye make from Minin.

13. Call for Experienced Miners if ye need 'elp attainin ore.

14. If yer not on the book ye can't mine at all. Don't bother.

15. Guards that let anyone mine will be warned TWICE. If they are not on the book they can't mine.

16. Always respect each other, failure to do so will result in expulsion from the guild. This also means respecting the king, lord baron, or any other leader within the government. It is also common courtesy to respect your fellow kin.

17. Do good by the guild and the same will be done to you.

18. Do not cause conflict with others under the name of the guild, this will result in expulsion. For example, do you claim to be acting under the guild and attack another group.

Ranks

There are several ways to move up in the Mining Guild. You will be chosen by the Head Miner to rank if up further if he believes you should. Complete tasks on the task board or tasks assigned by the Head Miner or Gold Ranked miners to raise your consideration.

Head Miner

The Head Miner is responsible for overseeing the entire guild. His word is law, respect it. If no Head Miner is active, a new one will be chosen by the Gold Ranked Miners.

Miner-Gold

A miner who has been promoted to Gold rank is tasked with helping the Head Miner oversee the guild. From this rank, they can be promoted to other more specific ranks, charged with more specific tasks. If they are not, they will help the Head Miner organize the mines, deal with trade, etc.

Miner-Iron

The majority of guild members will be this rank, as it's the easiest to become and it should suit most miners. They are responsible for gathering the majority of ore, stone, and coal for the guild.

Miner-Coal

The entry level rank of members who have yet to prove themselves to the guild. All new members start at this rank but tend not to stay at this rank for long.

Smith

The guilds smiths smelt and prepare the ore for the quota. They are important members of the guild and should be treated as such.

Special Ranks

Miner-Lapiz

Members of this rank will manage a guild property, while still helping the Head Miner when he needs it, although more sparingly.

Trade Manager

A Trade Manager will be sent off to promote trade with the Mining Guild and should be able to sign/forward trade deals for/to the Head Miner. The base prices for each deal will be discusses beforehand with the Head Miner and the Trade Managers should never go under it.

I was the head miner of Hanseti for many years, and designed and operated the mine there.

I fear I don't. I was raised by humans, so I know nothing of my dwarven kin.

Other Information:

I've lived alongside the humans for most of my life as the Head Miner of Hanseti. I've served alongside many humans and members of other races in the Teutonic Order, and I'll always consider them to be my friends, my comrades, even my kin. My fond memories of Hanseti will never fade,and I will forever honor the memory of Hochmeisters Gaius and Samuel. But of late, I've become aware that there's something missing. I know nothing of my dwarven family or my dwarven heritage, and this gaping hole in my life has long been cause for sadness. I hope to remain welcome in Hanseti from time to time, but it's time for me to return to to dwell in the fabled halls of the dwarves. I'm sure I can become as valuable a miner to Mount Ire as I proved myself to be in Hanseti
