No offence to anyone but the AIC is a joke. The only way things are ever going to change is if Vaq let's other coders work on LOTC plugins. And if the people in charge actually listend to what whe had to say. They are going to continue to ignore the players and do what they want. Its the reason why lotc isn't a top ranked server anymore.

End rant.

The AIC is more of a way for a few people that the server doesn't mind to all sit in a skype chat, talk over and develop ideas, and then present them as a team. LotC is a beautiful server. Yes, we wait for Vaq a lot. But considering the work he does, we should give him the benefit of the doubt. Though I agree that we should have a code-team perhaps headed by Vaq instead of solely relying on him.

I appreciate your opinion, but disagree with it's objective validity.

The AIC will have pull as long as they allow themselves to stay firmly within the public eye. Being a bunch of bearded old men discussing the future over skype chat is fine, but realize that none of them has any true connections that will lead the Admins to trust their judgment. The AIC can't simply state 'we think THIS' and expect the admins to respect this, simply because admins have firm opinions on the server direction, as well as the playerbase, of their own.

Let, then, a constant active line of communication with the players exist, where anything suggested to the GMs, and why, and whether or not it was considered by the Developers is constantly put up for scrutiny by all the players who want it. The 'AIC not being heard' should be equal to 'the players not being heard'. Allowing communication to be prominent and open to all will allow for a wonderful amount of solutions. Understanding alone solves a lot of conflicts, so at least the AIC can be transparent about what is going on in their little skype chat.

Will this work? Maybe not. Perhaps those of the AIC are destined to be nothing more than four Prom Queens accepting their plastic crowns. However, the most important ingredient, motivation, is definitely there. And also, fifteen minutes of fame have shown to be enough to accomplish many significant things.
