Goldrim 1422 Share Posted May 9, 2012 From what I hear and expirience the Orcs have been doing horrible lately, I cannot simply let the race I love die off as I have taken it upon myself not only to revive the RP, but also the race as a whole. Over the upcoming days I will try and acquire the position of Rex, I have talked this through with Mylas and a handfull of other Orcs and I would like to thank you all for the support and trust you have given me so far, I am currently really determined and motivated in doing this as I already have "grand" ideas set in motion. I won't stop listening to your ideas and concerns as I am always availiable in Teamspeak or in-game to talk about them, so do not hesitate to contact me, thank you.

Xanivic 2 Share Posted May 9, 2012 Yeah, I haven't encountered many Orcs lately now that I think of it. This is fortunate news though, regarding the revival of Orc roleplay, Goldrim. Good luck!
Urahra 5777 Share Posted May 9, 2012 ... Um. Yeah, Blaw, Gragarn, and I have plans as well, you know. Maybe you want to share so we don't get in each other's way?
Nononymous 306 Share Posted May 9, 2012 Good luck pal! I'd love to see some more Orcs around Asulon!
Aislin 4354 Share Posted May 9, 2012 Here to help. I'm fairly good at reviving dead nation roleplay, after all.
Alex_Pan 112 Share Posted May 9, 2012 ... Um. Yeah, Blaw, Gragarn, and I have plans as well, you know. Maybe you want to share so we don't get in each other's way? Here's an idea: get in each-other's way. Make something happen, instead of planning things out and letting them unfold the exact way you folded them. Urahra 5777 Share Posted May 9, 2012 It's been settled, Alex. Our plans didn't even conflict. But I have decided that I am out of orc politics forever. I do not even care who's Rex anymore. The Kheshig have always done whatever they felt like anyway. Gotta keep that tradition strong. Mogroka told us a million times that "Kheshig aren't diplomats", but the three of us conducted a dozen diplomatic missions in Aegis. So, you know what? If I want to go bother pinkskins, I'll do it and I don't need a Rex to give me approval.
Blawharag 277 Share Posted May 9, 2012 Here's an idea: get in each-other's way. Make something happen, instead of planning things out and letting them unfold the exact way you folded them. I think when she said "Get in each other's way" she meant "Our plans conflict in a way where one would stop the other from occuring". So in otherwords she wanted to make sure that everyone could continue to preform the events they had in mind without having a conflict that would prevent any events from occuring lol. Despite our IC Orcish beliefs that conflict is always best, OOCly there are some things we don't want conflicting. Namely plans for events/ideas that will generate RP. Because we want those to occur, we don't want them running into hiccups along the way that slow or stop them from occuring. So in this way, getting in each other's way just makes life harder on the rest of us while two possible events/ideas end up delayed because two people are bashing heads over how they should unfold. kalista 18 Share Posted May 9, 2012 People don't fear the orcs enough, we need to make them fear us again
Blawharag 277 Share Posted May 9, 2012 We need more diamonds so that we can be a powerful enough military force to make them fear us. Or Racial bonuses. Because right now (as has always been the case) we are outnumbered badly. Without some clear advantage on our side, there is only so much we can do with the heavily luck-based PvP that is minecraft. Ned Lud 1260 Share Posted May 9, 2012 I won't be killing Ned Lud'Gorkil off anytime soon. I'll help where I can, particularly regarding shamanism. I've just gotten really burned out these past few months and have a horrible Minecraft schedule, so I'm taking some time off to focus on the Volsung. We still have a solid core of players, we just need to communicate and start actively working towards improving the current situation. And honestly, **** diamonds, **** fear. We need to stop focusing on those things, because that's what has hampered our progress as a nation these past few months and put us in this rut. We need to focus more on the role-play and less on our material possessions and the winning of raids.

We need to stop focusing on those things, because that's what has hampered our progress as a nation these past few months and put us in this rut. We need to focus more on the role-play and less on our material possessions and the winning of raids. This man speaks the truth. The problem is that we've set up orc RP to be very isolationist. We're supposed to be scary and everyone's supposed to be afraid of us. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Being scary and tough and ugly is what made me play an orc, because I have a serious weakness for "monster" races. But guys, sealing ourselves off is not going to encourage RP. we need to strike a balance between upholding our reputation as the isolationist, war-loving warrior race and reaching out to the rest of the world. And, believe it or not, I think we need to reach out in ways that don't involve continual bloodshed. Yes, war is conflict. But battles aren't that great RP. You don't get long, intense RP sessions out of a battle. You get a spam click fest, then an "Awww, we lost" or "Yay, we won" reaction.
