Deleted User 009 0 Share Posted May 28, 2012 Hey Asulon, I've come out with a revolutionary new modification to minecraft code to hopefully once and for all *fix* mob spawning issues! What I've done is made two important changes to the way spawning works, because previously the reason there were so few mobs even though we multiplied our spawn rate so much was because of situation like this: What this is, is an image of a cave that's about 30 blocks underground and has no light what-so-ever in it; yet Notch's janky code still thought it was a good idea to spawn them down there. So I've made a few amendments to how spawning works to combat this. Mobs will no longer spawn in light levels 0 or 1 if they are bellow Y:50.Every sunrise in-game, when the date changes over, all mobs in light levels 0 and 1 will be removed from the game world, as they will retreat back to the nether.
