o_Ben_o 193 Share Posted October 3, 2012 I believe we should focus on creativity in 3.0 We should pre-design large city's with flare and design in them. We should not over-make towns / city's we should focus on main city's (settlements). So maybe a main city per race which isn't ran by gm's but is pure role-play. We need normal players but strong / able role players to perform these roles. I believe this way one nation will not be over-powered. I also know this will create good role-play. Space 2335 Share Posted October 5, 2012 I ask THOS question here, ecause I have no better place. If you had to choice a dungeon, what would you prefer? 1. Aestetics, nice walls, bit of mobs. 2. Puzzles. Redstone, traps, mazes, not so much perfection in the scenery but a lot of intriguing redstone and stuff?
Charles_Grimlie 1072 Share Posted October 15, 2012 Haven't looked through all of this since there's SO much but if it hasn't already been said maybe we could have a text based thirst system like the old food system? The Dwarves would need a mead meter to make sure that they are at the correct blood and alcohaul level, but something like this would promote drinking in taverns more. LordOctopus 8 Share Posted October 16, 2012 Would we have the same characters or would we all have to recreate new ones?
gabriel101x1 463 Share Posted October 16, 2012 Would we have the same characters or would we all have to recreate new ones? For the 3.0 map. You can choose to start with new characters, or you can keep your current ones.
balluffip 35 Share Posted October 28, 2012 When I started out playing on LOTC I found it VERY hard to find a home in big cities in the beginning. We should make more slums and allow them to be EXTREMELY cheap. Due to me not finding a home in the slums, I was forced to join a small town. So having cheap slums in large cities will stop people from going and making small settlements...However, Ascella was quite a success till the monks forced us out...

Minea 124 Share Posted November 1, 2012 One Kingdom I say. Condense everything in a way where we can run a whole kingdom properly. Only a few shops and taverns with constant activity because they will be the only ones. If we change anything at all we should do this. Perhaps we all leave for ArmaLuna. Hmm not a bad idea, but a lot of interesting RP comes with leaders of kingdoms clashin heads. I know war is banned at the moment, but I think even politically it would be a lot more dull to only have one kingdom. Who would be the enemy? Civil war?? Whether some guys like it or not, war and physical conflict play a massive role in roleplay, and although IRL peace is the way to go and very fun and interesting, if we had one massive era of peace under one king/queen, RP (as a soldier particularly) would get pretty boring. The Best Basileus 97 Share Posted November 24, 2012 I'm sad to see that in 3.0 they're pre-building, because personally, I wish our refugee races had to build our cities, Highways, etc. by ourselves, rather than having them waiting for us when we get there. After all, we are a roleplay server. I'm interested to see what the segway to 3.0 will be, but I personally think that a massive natural disaster, or disease (which is different because it is largely self-imposed, albeit unknowingly) rather than another common enemy. Oh, it wasn't a natural distaster, but I can gurantee you it was a massive disaster.
Nefarious Aus Shitpost 891 Share Posted November 28, 2012 Sorry if someone already asked this but is there going to be a wilderness? And if so where would it be? I can confirm there are wilds in 3.0. I have seen them.
