Why not just move it up to 512? Now we can both be happy.

The limit is 256.

I'm afraid not, it is possible to extend the Height Limit to as high as 2560 blocks. But that is a burden to the server.

Sounds like you are wanting a giant crater

No, just saying it's possible to please both parties, even if the underground one is a minority (Dwarves and Mori vs Humans, Elves, and Orcs).

I love the idea of huge underground caves. That could have some really interesting builds added to it. I also would like to see some valleys with huge mountains on either side more often, those look nice to me. Anyone else agree?

You know what I'd personally like for conflict? An Alliance vs Horde type of conflict. You pick a race, faction and you're in an all out war.

I like the idea for natural disaster, and yes. Make it harder to get resources, then over time, easier. I mean, You can't expect people to have a whole city within a day... make it harder please, thank you.

I'd prefer not to have a third map, but in case you guys really can't help yourselves, here's what I'd want to see in the map.

Firstly, a very linear map. In Aegis, I walked up and down the King's Road whenever I wanted roleplay. In Asulon, that's pretty difficult since the roads go outwards to settlements, not along a central area. The capitals need to be closer together, branching off a major road.

Secondly, less permissions. I know that there is a risk of landscarring, but it just doesn't work to have 20% of players with permissions and everybody else sitting around. The beginning of Asulon had that feeling, and that's what caused those terrible, griefed freebuild areas... a hundred people packed into a hundred squares is never a good idea.

Lastly, controlled conflict. War can be a great source of roleplay for those who enjoy it, but peaceful-type roleplay groups should not need to constantly defend themselves ICly and OOCly from compulsively aggressive players. War is good. Forced war is bad.

War is forced. If there is a good roleplay reason to have a war, then it should be fine, and in real life, peaceful groups, such as Jews during the middle ages and Quakers, were not allowed to remain peaceful by everybody. People would either force them (or try to) to fight with them, or just attack them and slaughter them.
