By the way can you guys check out this page : Link I want to take full measure of how many rp magic users there are in Aegis to see what type of audience I'm dealing with. Oh, right you don't know. I'm going to create a tavern or pub that focus on magic. Newt Stew, Ghastly Ale, Boogeyman Bread, stuff like that. I will also sell staves and cantrips (really simple, generaly harmless spells).

Also I just got an amazing idea since my backstory had "some" magic involved (literally when i first joined the server i knew it would make a return) and a friend of mine (Urara) asked me if my necklace was magic. So yeah got a backstory while hardly trying XD. Gotta love when things just come to you like a fly hitting a windshiel ;) ]]

All mages and anyone who rpes magic but is not in the guild, for now on the Mage’s Guild will give out training to those who wish to have it. Although this does not mean we are letting people openly join, this is simply saying we are giving training out to people. For people who are not members of the guild they will recieve basic training to improve their skills, although will not necissarily learn new spells.

Contact a Guild master who will be listed below, ask them for training and possible classes may be open in the future.

Guild masters, this is only training, we are not letting people into the guild ONLY training [just want you to know that] This means no secret giving away, and things like that, we will have an open council meeting later to discuss this

Also Any factions who also follow the ways of magic, feel free to contact us and we will see you as a sister guild and try to work along with you. The mage guild is designed to cooperate with other magic uses and act as a central hub for magic, we are not looking to dominate and control other groups/guilds/people. But to work with them.

But please, the guild will now be looking for any who are power gaming even more, and any who are power gaming [disturbing the balance] will be put to a stop. This includes rouge mage who have not been accepted by a GM, and any rouge mages just because it makes good rp, as well as any people who are using magic that does not fit their lore. We do not want people using OP magic as it ruins the experience for other players.

For those who can perform magic and have magic in their lore then they can perform small simple spells, so no shooting rped fire balls until you have been trained to control your powers by anyone who has a large knowledge of magic [this does not mean the mage's guild per say it only means trained people who know magic can teach other people magic], or trust me WE WILL COME LOOKING FOR YOU O_O]]

Edit: we will not be training everyone though, only people we feel have good rp skills and such, also we will most likely train those who already have a bit of magic in their lore

I'm not looking for magic training, but I would like to be trained in the ways of the mages. Do you get what I mean? I don't seek tricks and spells but I want to be like the mages, theologically and whatnot. Who is best to track down for that?

The mages do not seek power, a mage is basically any magic user in Aegis... How can you be a magic user without wanting to learn magic? I do not really understand what you are trying to say.

I guess I seek knowledge... and maybe an understanding of magic. To escape my own perspective no life. I suppose I could say that I would like to learn magic, but not for the sake of using it. Maybe all I'm trying to illustrate is that I won't be like "show me how to shoot fire, and have a magic shield, and paralyse people" because I don't care for any of that. I'm just wanting to open my mind to magic.

Is their a way one could seek out this guild to be taught the proper way to use magic? I don't wish to join permanently, only to become a student. My character is always in search of knowledge and is greatly interested in the Arcane Arts.

I would leave my current Clan for the duration of the training and dedicate myself completely.

The lore for my Clan would fit with learning magic very well as our ancestors were given power by a Daemon to help defeat Iblees during the 30 year war. Through the centurys, the power in each generation was lost more and more. Now the only power present descendants have is their eyes glow blue on the verge of combat. With Iblees and his Undead minions returned, the Shad'Rin seek to unlock this ancient power that has been dormant for centurys. Possibly a little training from this mages guild couldn't hurt to help us reach this inner power. I of course would hope to be able to take back what i have learned and pass the knowledge to the best RPrs from my clan.

Im also looking for something new as my current RP has become a bit stale.

I shall seek out this mages guild and try to prove myself worthy of training.
