"Volatile....I have an interesting thought, well actualy, had it for a while. What would happen is we melted down Coal, literally?" Enyahs looks around for a piece of coal and grabs it. "It shouldn't be that hard, the outside of it is a little crusty. I think the only thing to worry about would be heating it up to the right temperature. Any ideas?" Enyahs says looking at the coal and spinning it around examining every side.

Well...Perhaps we could try to use the same process ship builders to make their wood tar, though it would be best if we perhaps tried only a small amount at first. *Takes a vial and puts the vial over an open flame and lets it sit there for a while. Once the vial is very hot he uses a pair of tongs to remove the vial, places the piece of coal in it and plugs it with a cork. He then places the vial back over the open flame and lets it sit there for a long while, assuming the low amount of air in the vial will prevent the coal from igniting within the vial, but will still allow the coal to cook off*

"Good, we have a plan now. I believe it is also safe enough to move out of this room. If we do not there maybe something in the air that kills us both when we cook it."

Enyahs walks to the door unlocking it thne swiftly opens it.

*Follows after him, turning and locking the inner lab then flips the sanitation lever* "right, what's next?"

"Well, we need to find a way to heat up the coal to a melting point. Lava is an option but I would probably burn my hand even getting three feet away from it. Any ideas?", He says.

"Perhaps, but I do not think we can melt all of the coal, after all even in a furnace there is always quite a bit of char left behind. I'm not really sure what we could use, not lava or a furnace as the cork would likely light on fire or the glass melt, and these candles I use to heat the lab tests won't be enough."

Enyahs thinks to himself about his studies of redstone. "Gold conducts somehthing out of redstone. I think we may be able to use that if we have a plate of gold. Have any?" Enyahs says turning around to look at Tenshar.

*After a while he returns to the lab, carrying a box from which he takes out a gold plate*

"Right, not sure how well this will work, but I took two gold bars, hammered them into plates and then took redstone and placed it between the two which I then placed some obsidian on the bottom to trap the heat, all placed in a box carved from stone. If we apply redstone to the one exposed point on the box it should power the redstone between the gold plates, after that anything might happen"

*Places the makeshift heating device on the table, to which he hooks up to the rooms redstone system and the places the partially vacuum sealed vial with coal onto it*

"This may take a while"

Enyahs looks at him wide-eyed throughout the entire thing. Only syaing one thing after the plate begins being heated. "How long did it take you to come up with this? I was just going to power some redstone actually sitting on a gold plate...But this...Is much more, sophisticated."

"Quite a while, nearly 6 months for the crafting of the components alone, I can only hope it works and cooks off the coal properly, though it is unlikely we will actually melt the coal"

"Very unlikely indeed."He says, " Also not to mention this could take hours to happen. Want to leave it sitting here while we work on other things."

"Sounds like a good idea." *Turns to the near by assistant* "Jorgan, keep an eye on the vial while you work if you would, should anything happen come get Enyahs and myself quickly, understood?" *The somewhat bulky assistant nods and returns to his other projects* "Very well, what should we work on next?"
