TeaLulu 1783 Share Posted July 31, 2012 Standing inside her Family's Manor in Arethor, Baroness Ari Hightower opens the door upon hearing a rapping noise upon it. Enters her cousin, Prince Lancel I of Salvus, with a grim look upon his face, and to her he delivers word of these threats. She scans the message fervently, though seems almost relieved to see her name is not upon the list, that relief is quickly banished by the names of those closest to her being present. As her eyes lay upon the final line, she looks away quickly, forcing the parchment back into Lancel's hands. "Red Huntings, Red bandanas, Red Rogues..." She mutters to herself, seeming particularly distressed, the events of recent days weighing heavily on her shoulders.
meg 1994 Share Posted July 31, 2012 "Crimes?" Winter repeats aloud, "what mistreatment am I so believed to be guilty of besides evicting abandonned homes? I willingly shelter and feed any in need and I perform my own taskes that I can. Whatever fool believes I or Uthor is a tyrranical monster should be clubbed for this gross injustice against our names," Winter says absently to anyone passing by, " Who ever these men are, they need to be dealt with, blinded as they are by the men who claim to hear their Gods, the machinations of corrupted men this farce is." The angered Countess fumed as she stormed off, " They should learn more of those they condemn before they do so!" OOC: I have a sneaking suspicion that this RP will fizzle out, much like any major change of power in any nation that's made without the consent of all parties. Also, it pays to do your research rather than tack in every prevalent name you can find, several of these characters are not even present and several more past that have no ties, quite noticeably so, to the subject. IC Info goes in RP, not OOC. <3 Winter *The hooded and cloaked High Elven lady smiles as she watches Winter storm off* "You of all people should know Winter, religion makes people do terribly moronic things", she says as she turns and begins to exit Arethor. Sykogenic 1333 Share Posted July 31, 2012 The Lawful Man is walking through Arethor when one of the signs catches his attention. He stops and reads it, coming away with a smile on his face. ΚΨΙΞ 710 Share Posted July 31, 2012 Cailean cleans the head of his tomahawks, stained with noblemen blood. He looks to composite war bow, holding it up and pulling back the string. Cailean smiles seeing his bow is ready for use. Many years has he been with Oren, but many has he also killed. Many on the list, is who he wishes to die by his blade and he intends to himself. He puts his belt on which hold his two homahawks and pulls his bow over his back. Cailean looks to his quiver full of steel tipped arrows, and sits it on his shoulder. As he pulls his hood up, tightens his boots and bracers he pulls his crimson bandana over his face. Sitting down at his desk, whilst adorned in robes he removes his quill from his table and dabs it in a ink pot and writes an anonymous reply. As he finishes his preparations Cailean packs his things, and sets out for Arethor. Climbing on the roof and preparing an arrow he pierces a whole on the note, aiming for the notice board. Cailean releases the shot, his arrow piercing straight through the note and holding his own letter in place. Showing up and pinning the note would be suicidal and too risky. " I seek to aid in your venture to rid, nobles from Oren. Perhaps I can be of use in your attempts and im sure you will be able to contact me. " On the bottom of the note is a charcoal drawing showing a Cobra, readying to strike its pray. Cailean flees as his note hits the notice board, and disappears from the roofs. Mirtok 2853 Share Posted July 31, 2012 I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my Emperor go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. *After looking at the note, he glares, and says to himself, " I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. Red_Huntings 3 Author Share Posted August 1, 2012 In the outskirts of Solace stood Ari Hightower, a Count and four unknown men. One of the unknown men approached Ari, asking of her to come with him, as he is a Monk of the Wilven Sanctuary. Ari willingly follows the man and his companions. As they almost leave the outskirts of the city, no living being in sight but the group of 5, they stop in their tracks outside an abandoned home. The 'monk' asks of Ari of whom own home they stood before. As Ari begins to lose herself in thought, the group backs away, the 'monk' stands behind her, releasing a powerful open palm strike to the back of her neck. Ari Hightower fell to the ground unconscious, unknown to the fact she would be attack. The 'monk' steps over her unconscious body, slamming his booted foot down on her neck, the bones make a gruesome noise as they snap. The 'monk' reaches down, grabbing a handful of her hair, he lifts her head, throwing a left hand open palm strike to her throat, crushing her windpipe. The 'monk' releases her, they look about for anyone who had witnessed the attack, none had. They quickly flee, leaving Ari Hightower face down unconscious in the gravel, unable to breath. Although all was not so dark and dim, for the true monks had arrived, finding the woman, they had managed to save her within a bare inch of her life. Yet the would-be-killers had gotten away . .
