what I obviously mean with the alras thing is, like 3 different battles in different days

Alras was an entire nation being taken over in 3 days, taking over 3 different sections. Sections that should have had separate regions. In this case it's only one region thats being attacked not an entire nation, so I don't think 3 seperate battles would be needed. I like the idea of starting on different sides of the river xD

That piece of land is huge, and there should be 2 battles then. 1 at the river and the other at the fort if you win the first one of course.

((We should have an open field battle, which is then followed by a siege if the dwarves win. But, if you lose, you are open to attack in Kal'Anart. The orcs could choose not to press the attack. It would be interesting to see a real open field battle though.))

((Agreed with grool, but I would like it if the open-field battle and the sieges are on different days of course.))

[Adding a poll for the sake of organisation. Please, only people participating in this war claim vote on the poll.

Option #1: So, with some suggestions through out the thread, I thought we should make this battle a bit more interesting. Since the fort that the dwarves seek to destroy is on a large area of land, Brevias suggested that we can just simply region off the land and have an open field battle as well as a battle for the fort. This allows for the orcs to have their fort in the north not be thrown into question as well as the dwarves completing their ultimate goal. Keep in mind that these two battles will most likely happen the same day.

Don't worry Teebrown, just friendly banter. I've got the utmost respect for my foes. I can have the fort regioned off and set up an area for an open field battle as well. How would you guys feel about some kind of two/three stage battle for shits and giggles? Conquest or not, it's just a fragment of land I'm willing scapegoat.

Option #2: Another possibility would be to not region the land off as a whole and continue the war claim as is, although with one minor adjustment. It would be a span of three battles over a two day period. We would have the battle for the first fort built closest to us first. If victory is claimed for the dwarves, then we could continue to the next day having a open field battle, then finally having a battle for the fort in the northern mountains.

The choice is up to you guys.]

((I vote for option 2 although i would like the open field battle and the fort battle on different days, You would need to cure you wounds before heading to the next fort....))

EDIT: don't forget the warclaim still needs to be accepted :P

((Bazian will be away for the next week so I'll let everyone know of any changes with the war claim. Option one seems to be the most popular choice so far so what two times on Friday would be preferred? We'll start with an open field battle, then maybe two hours after, begin the siege? Unless you'd like the delay to be longer than that.))

I do not own the region, but I will try to participate in the battle. For mine and most other schools in my area, we start school that week. I would suggest the battle to be at 7pm EST and 9pm EST. At 6pm and 8pm could be hard for some of those that have after school activities and such. I know it makes it hard for Europeans and Australians, but I think 6pm or 7pm EST is one of the best times for all the timezones.

((9PM could be a bit difficult, what if we push it back to Saturday so that school won't have an effect?))

[ I really don't mind what day or time it is on, as long as 1) It is not on a Sunday and 2) It is not before 5pm EST. ]
