TEEbrown 348 Share Posted August 4, 2012 Conquest: Opposing Faction: The Dwarves of Kal'Anart + allies from the dwarven collilition of Holds Defending Faction: The War Nation + Allies Name of the battle: Buffer zone has been taken Location: must be the specific region/biome you wish to conquer Time, (at least 5 days warning): Friday 8/17 at 6 PM EST Terms: -Anything goes, just no excessively blowing up the lands like in Alras :P Rewards: region/biome swaps ownership In case of dwarven victory, the lands of jugger15 would be transferred to the Grandaxe Clan. Rp: Bazian walks about the top of his hold looking around on the surrounding lands. He looks to his right and smiles, seeing dwarves going about their day to day business. He slowly walks the circumference of the top of his home, looking onto the vast plains surrounding all the other edges of the mountain. To his surprise, Bazian notices something peculiar. He sees a group of orcs moving large stones into particular places just a few stones throws away. "W'at th' feck beh t'is?!" Bazian exclaims to the cool, open mountain air. "Th' greenskins beh buildin' so close ter meh mountain home, ah t'ink not! T'is will not stand!" Bazian calms down, and begins to think about the situation. He sits patiently on his hold, waiting for an opportunity to investigate. The orcs depart from the area because of the lack of building materials. They return to their resource dump for more bricks of stone. Bazian notices this departure of orcs and orders one of his dwarves to go down and investigate. The lad scales down the side of the mountain and walks over to the orcish construction of the area. He stands in the middle of the stones and looks up to Bazian, waving. The lad returns to the hold to relay any information to Bazian. "Ma lord, dere beh much activity down below. Ah culd see th' ground beh pounded down by orcish feet." "Th' orcs t'ink t'ey can build so close ter meh lands durin' wartoimes? T'is beh disrespectful!" Bazian grunts slightly as he looks back at the building grounds. "T'is place will fall quickly, ah will beh sure ov it." He looks back at the lad. "Take t'is message ter 'odor, tell 'im ov th' situation." The dwarven lad nods and quickly departs, going to seek out Hodor Grandaxe. [Poll choices] [Adding a poll for the sake of organisation. Please, only people participating in this war claim vote on the poll. Option #1: So, with some suggestions through out the thread, I thought we should make this battle a bit more interesting. Since the fort that the dwarves seek to destroy is on a large area of land, Brevias suggested that we can just simply region off the land and have an open field battle as well as a battle for the fort. This allows for the orcs to have their fort in the north not be thrown into question as well as the dwarves completing their ultimate goal. Keep in mind that these two battles will most likely happen the same day. Option #2: Another possibility would be to not region the land off as a whole and continue the war claim as is, although with one minor adjustment. It would be a span of three battles over a two day period. We would have the battle for the first fort built closest to us first. If victory is claimed for the dwarves, then we could continue to the next day having a open field battle, then finally having a battle for the fort in the northern mountains. The choice is up to you guys.]

Munch 176 Share Posted August 4, 2012 Could we not just keep it at 6 EST? Its quite late as it is, also people have work in the morning so can't stay up too late.

I'm game for having it on Saturday, but I don't want to smack two battles back to back. People need some time to prepare for events like these.]

Pudclud 32 Share Posted August 5, 2012 ((Well, I like Uthors idea, and seeing as people would like a Friday or Saturday battle, why don't we plan two Skirmishes on Saturday? One for some timezones, and another for the other ones. That way everybody can be happy :D))
