Name of the battle: “Summer’s set on Somerset”

Location: must be the specific region/biome you wish to conquer

There is no region, it is all unprotected, As many people can tell you, My computer cannot take screenshots, So I apologize about no map the coords where it is centered at are: X:2615 Y:64 Z:1695

Time, (at least 5 days warning): Friday 4:30 P.m.. Eastern standard time

Terms: No enchanted weapons, no golden apples, No potions during or previous to combat, Must begin with Roleplay

Rewards: region/biome swaps ownership, The current leader must step down, Although the citizens that did not partake in the battle are still allowed their homes. All lwc Will be removed, excluding that of the citizens that are allowed to stay.

(This is assuming the leader did show up and denied my offer, and he has his people with him)

*Gunjar sits at a small campfire on the border of Varivik with a troubled look on his face. “What troubles you, Armored one?” said a voice coming from behind him. Gunjar jumped slightly at the voice coming from behind him. “Oh, It’s just you.” He said upon recognizing Rideswithwind’s voice. “There is a city, that lies near-abandoned, just a few citizens stand at its defense. It’s not that I do not care for the welfare of my fellow man, It’s just that I care for my loyal men’s more, We need a home, and this provides an opportunity that I cannot pass up.” Said Gunjar solemnly. “The men are loyal to you, we stand ready for battle.” Replied Rideswithwind. Gunjar stands “Then battle we shall.”

((Somerset is a ghost town, which we intend to repopulate, but, apparently, according to the rules, we must create a conquest charter to be able to claim the town for our people to repopulate, I’d refer you to the “Attention people of Somerset” post under human roleplay to see our intentions. If you are a citizen there, I'd like you to contact me so war can be averted, although this must happen ic. PM me, I'm Xx_David_xX))

To note Summerset is based in the Duchy of Westfall. If one of the citizens manages to send a bird to me or any of the other nobles we will bring men to counter attack. But they must clearly emote sending the bird. There will be no meta on my watch.

((Can't we allow just one sneak defeat? These fools want to attack unannounced, by the time they are upon the city it would be too late for requested troops anyhow. With this one defeat, you can reinforce the border to its fullest and retake Somerset whilst enabling a sneak attack to truly be a sneak attack.))

I agree with Mirtok. We haven't seen a good sneak attack. But this claim is mostly official so no bans/strikes can ensue. The town is abandoned as far as I was told

Erm, you do know that this town is not populated,so I don't see any harm of us claiming a ghost town and raising it up from its ashes, plus, we have no intrest in attacking Oren (assuming it is with them) or anyone else for that matter, My people are mainly peacefull, and would find foolish to take the empire head on. In fact seek to ensure peace with it through treatys while still retaining independance. The only reason we are attacking Somerset, is to have homes for oursleves because we are being forced out of Varivik by what we beleive to be a Tryannical and brutish leader. Remember, we are only attacking if A. less than three people show up and say "Hey, I live here, don't attack me please." and has liable proof of them living there (using a Ic "Notice board" A.k.a. The fourm post I made). B. Their leader doesn't send me a bird saying he's still there (I put up signs in the keep about it) C. the leader doesn't accept our offer to buy the town from him. This Claim is completley precautionary just incase we DO go to war, Which, if anyone acually lives there, is unlikley.

There's a small problem with that. It is more than likely you won't be allowed to have independence you'l likely just have to become a new leader under the Holy Oren Empire.

Heh, I'd still be happy with that, allthough my main concern is war, we wouldn't send people into war against anyone if we could help it, unless somerset gets invaded first.

Well I advise you try speaking to the Duke of Westfall though he isn't on much at the moment so I can try and organize a meeting for you

((I am the Duke of Westfall and you could always come to me asking about it. I would however prefer to have people move closer in-land than being all the way out in Somerset. You could speak to the Count of Somerset Robin Drake. He has the land by title, but he does not use it because he has a barony closer to the center.))

((I would appreciate you sending me a msg so we can discuss this in greater detail (Xx_David_xX is my username) My people would prefer to be on the outreaches of Oren instead around the center due to many reasons that I would not care to list right now. Plus, We've allready made our minds up about Somerset, and there is little anyone can to to sway our decision. We are ready to move in, one way or another, but we'd prefer to do it as peaceably as possible))

This is hilariously coincidental...ICly me and my wife were going to move to Somerset to find a home literally a day before this war claim...guess not >.>

((well, you could allyways move there after it's claimed, considering it'd still be the same, minus the ghost town part, We'd be welcoming of any people that arn't previous enemies of me or Oren, Remember, this war will most likley not take place as there are no active people within Somerset, So we could simply walk in and claim it. We wouldn't show any gruges on any citizens that live currently there and give up without a fight. Besides, If this claim would have never been named, you wouldn't have anyone to get a house from seeing everyone there is inactive.))
