The time has come, champions - To represent LoTC in the first ever Minecraft Olympiad. A truly incredible amount of games and challenges will test the best of some of Minecraft's favorite servers - When the time comes, will you stand at the summit of victory?

Volunteering:

-You are not allowed to nominate another player. I have chosen this method due to the event lasting 8 days total.-

-Any LoTC member may volunteer to be among LoTC's 20 Champions.-

If you wish to vote for Contestants you may +1 their "Olympiad Contestant Sheet" posted here in this thread.

Voting will end on 8/31/2012.

The top 15 champions voted for, will immediately become Olympiad Contestants and the Five remaining contestants will be chosen at random on live-stream that same night.(8/31)

Strengths:My strengths are in Surviving and basic building, I know how to get things sorted for building and I know how to make circles while building. I am great at PVP and I can dodge. Lets see, uhh, I can navigate boats pretty well. I am not the best at archery, but I will try as hard as I can.

Weaknesses(if any): I cannot build pixal art, and I cannot build decoratively, only structurally. I am terrible at redstone.

Other notes: I am a pretty nice player and I get along with people easily, I can represent our community and show how great everyone is. I hope that you consider me to go to the Olympiad.

I would make a good leader in the capture the flag event, and would be good in the "Senses" event. However, I would suck at any pvp events besides the capture the flag event.

Strengths: I am confident in jumping puzzles and excel at them. I am not a professional, there is no such thing as a professional if there is no practice involved. I can build, and that all depends on what it is we are building. I am a dedicated individual that takes the initiative to ask you all, for support in getting me into the Olympiad.

Strengths:

I find myself to have profound abilities with Running Events, Swimming Events, Some Surviving events, and non-variable objective events. I particularly excel at team based events. I believe I would be a great asset to the team due to my performance in running, swimming, and trans-land sports. I also believe we can take home Gold in a majority of these events with a strong, well rounded team. A group of individuals with only one ability is a manor downfall, for which I would counter-act with my unique skills.

Weaknesses:

Redstone and Pixel Art for sure, both skills are lacking for me personally. I also find PvP to be challenging and therefore I do not see myself as a good contender for those events. I am hopeful, actually quite certain, we will have athletes who can make up for this however.

Yes, of course, I sware to abide by them and ensure I compete and represent our amazing server fairly and with sportsmanship. Anything less is unacceptable and protrays our community in a negative manner.
