Wiki: Orc Pages

[[After looking over the Wiki, which seems to have stagnated, I noticed that a section for Character Pages, particularly Orc Pages, was added, much like we had on the old Wiki.

I started playing on this server over a year ago and have seen so many amazing orcs come and go and sometimes it is a shame to see the amount of knowledge and history that is lost pertaining to these characters that spend so much time among us. I would really like to see a communal push for us to document the orcs, past and present, that have stood and fought among us as well as ourselves, as we have many veteran players that come and go, burning out and moving on to other things.

I would like to see every active player that has ever had an orc among us create a page for their characters and write up a little bit of information on themselves, even if it's just cutting and pasting a biography from your Whitelist of Villain Application. Think of it as a preservation of our oral traditions in-character, expressed on the Wiki, out-of-character.

Okay, so maybe I post this and it gets one or two responses and no one cares, but it's worth a shot. I think it would be cool to see the orcs, one of the smallest and most bastardized of the races, create and maintain the largest and most comprehensive history of their people, all the way back to the days of the Clan Wars. Every orc, every clan, every battle, every war, every skull pissing. Maybe if we got caught up on all of our current players we could move onto preserving pages for characters that are long gone. If a new player wanted to read up on some of his clan's dead or missing ancestors, all of their information would just be a few clicks away.

So, if the server's down or you have time on your hands and there's no role-play going on, I welcome y'all to give me a hand in this. Maps come and go, items are lost, but it's the players that we've always laughed about on Team Speak months after they're long gone. Let's try to preserve the memory of our people before we all forget who we are, kill ourselves off and retire.

If you have no idea how to use the Wiki and don't care to, PM me the information you want displayed and I'll create a page for you. From there you can figure out how to add to it or just pester me with changes. For now, I'll try to set up the Orc Pages and begin organizing it by clan, with players listed alphabetically. We can't have dead links, so don't add links to player pages unless there is a page created with sufficient information on it to warrant a page. There's a ton of players to cover, but I'm not going to add any unless I have a decent little biography to slap up there.

Thanks, even if only one or two people respond to this it's better than nothing. I'd like to see more of an effort made on the Wiki as a whole, but this is just a small start to try to collect some of that rare information before players eventually move on.]]

Yeah, feel free. I'll be trying to add as many Gorkil as I can and then expanding onto recent departures of other clans, hopefully covering most of the significant players that I can remember off the top of my head at least. The new Wiki is a bit trickier to figure out than the older one, but I've figured out how to add content and do some basic formatting. Thanks a lot.

You're all set. I figured out how to get those character pictures off of Novaskin. Looks pretty nice like that, I'll post a link for others.
