A piece of paper, apparently torn from a journal, is pinned to the wall. It is written in black ink. It reads the following:

"Hello, my name is Rathian Scott. My friend, William Ive and I, are searching for a guild with which we can earn some Minos and gain experience in various subjects. I, for one, am a 27 year old, Human, and well-educated ranger expirienced in survival who would like to gain expirience in the art of swords ((I'm at level 20 now, looking to earn up to level 50)), and possibly learn some magic lessons. My friend, however, is less sophisticated than me. He is a 35 year old Human exile who used to be an innkeeper, until he was banned from his town. He is skilled in combat wih both the bow and sword, as he served in the Millitia for a few years. He wishes to become a ranger like me, but I do not have a place at which to train him. I once saved his life, so therefore he vowed to accompany me to whatever guild I join. We would appreciate that any guild who wishes us to join gives us both a private chest, a salary of minos, and some housing."

The page is signed "Rathian Scott" and "William Ive".

A note is pinned:

If it is a guild you seek. Perhaps the Arcane Delvers will be suited to your needs. A school of illusion magic and the sword would suit you well.

*A note written on map making paper is hung up below the original note.

The Asulon Outriders would suit your skills well, although we can not offer you any Minas at the moment. We are looking for young men such as yourselves who would be willing to go adventuring and exploring. If you are interested go to your local cartographers and there should be some leaflets there.((Link))

-Rathian Scott and William Ive check the replies. They consider them for awhile; Rathian writes up another reply, and pins it under his original paper-

"To all three guilds who have asked us to join, we are considering only two of them. Since neither my friend nor I are soldiers, but rangers, we respectfully decline the request posted by the Knight Obsidio. However, we are still considering the Arcane Delvers or the Asulon Outriders. I would like to meet this Kalenz Uradir outside of the Mageshield headquarters in Ildon, a small city in the nation of Salvus, inside the Holy Oren Empire. As for the Asulon Outriders, we shall endeavor to visit your island ((Is there any quick way to get to it?)). Both of you sound like our type of guilds, and we will visit both before making any decisions. We will discuss the rest in person at both locations, starting with the Arcane Delvers."

The note is signed with the same signatures as the last one.

*A royal seal of the hightowers is shown on a sheet of paper, black ink is written in fine handwriting*

"The Gladiants, the army of the Kingdom of Salvus, are looking for scouts and rangers alike. Prince Lancel himself sent me to invite you to join the glorious army. We pay much more then silly magic users or petty outlaws. Come to solace where you may meet with one of the officials."

*The note ends and the rest is only a signature of a Hightower servant*

Rips the note from Salvus down, unimpressed by their petty behavior and remarks in the note. He attaches a new note which reads:

"A bird. Send me a bird and we will discuss things in writing. I will not travel to valah'nor to meet you until we have corresponded in such a way" ((Forum PM))

*Rathian Scott puts up another note*

"As I said, my friend and I are not mercenaries to be hired (To this comment I direct to the Hightowers). Plus, my friend was banished from the city of Solace, or do you not remember the day that you Solicians exiled him? Any guild that wishes to let us join MUST allow us both to join. We are currently considering the prospect of perhaps joining both the Asulon Outriders and the Arcane Delvers ((We may put off joining the Arcane Delvers until my friend and I both have accepted magic applications; then perhaps we may join the Arcane Delvers to search for a magic teacher))."

The note is signed, once again, by Rathian Scott and William Ive.

*a small note, hardly more than a scrap, is pinned atop the original advertisement by a shard of flint*

I could give you a job, if you want anything to do with the sea.

Send a bird to E. Delsaran, the Harbor Roost. [[Longbow5]]

*Jullius slowly strolls past a particular wall when something catches his eye. It seems to be a note. After reading it through carefuly, the note purpose becomes obvious. Jullius smiles softly, whisks a piece of paper out of one of his jackets many pockets and swiftly scribbles a reply.*

"Dear Mister Scott and Mister Ive. If you be seeking employment of a more militaristic nature, you might consider sighing up to become bannermen for House Amedaius. We have few remaining bannermen and the house itself is going under some serious reform. If you desire future success in this suggested job, a response as soon as possible would benefit the both of you greatly. Due to the reform, housing would not be immediate, but we can guarantee the both of you a protected chest and housing whatever housing we can scrape together, until something better becomes available. Concerning a salary, that would also be instated in days to come. But joining a house on the rise would reap profit with a little hard work and dedication."

*Pins the note at the bottom of the torn out journal page, nods at his own handywork with a quick smile, and makes his way off*
