The server being down is quite boring, but hey... on the bright side:

  • I reinstalled League of Legends and recovered my old account and I'm enjoying playing it now after having quit over a year ago. (Seriously, my last match was on April 14th, 2011...)
  • Had some fun on my friends Tekkit server, helping him build up cool structures and being a lab rat for plugins.
  • Paid my old server a visit, connecting with a few old buddies.
  • Had time to really flesh out my characters that were lacking some backstory.
  • Played on a competitive objective-based, team-based PvP server and had loads of fun.

So I've at least been keeping busy. Still I hope that LotC comes back online soon.

I've been accepted right when it started being down, so I can't wait haha

Welcome to the server :/

Quite unfortunate that your first days in the 'Accepted to LoTC Club' have been spent browsing the forums and anxiously awaiting the chance to log in :S

Indeed, but like when you are hungry and finally get to eat, the experience will probably be more enjoyable!

You'll have fun here, that's for sure.

Just some people try to bring LoTC down.

They try to keep it down until the very moment that people get angry and leave.

There's nothing else behind that.

So it 'must be a damn good server' if they do that.

Welp this sucks, three days going on four. Patience? I got tons of it, only issue I have is if they have this automated and no one is behind the wheel while its going. Send an email out to everyone once we're back up, I'll be in steam or out and about. Hit me up in steam for KF or TF or any other multiplayer games on there. Same call sign as here xlockeed.

Shift please look into getting a cash upkeep meter for the site to show everyone monthly server upkeep and web hosting upkeep. It really gives the community a group goal to make sure we're ok on funds. If you're paying for the website and server then go ahead and disregard putting it up being its private to you only. But being this is a donations driven site, if I was you I'd put one up. This way there is no arguing where the donations are going to.

So next month you say we'll have ddos protection up and the server wil be in more then one persons hands? Good to know, you know my skype and now steam hit me up if you need anything may it be financial or to build on 3.0 take care and good luck.

We are currently contacting various hostings to find which is the most appropriate and cost effective - hope this eases your mind.

In the mean time, i'll be making a series of threads similar to the land-claim to collect general consensus - let's enjoy the forums :geek:

What ever it takes to get the server up Swift, had these same problems actually *chuckles, had to get in "manually", that's another story though, bottom line is that as long as we have the developers on it I'm sure we'll get back up eventually. Best of luck to you and the rest of the staff. and I hope those DDOS'ers the worst of luck in their future endeavors.

Things I have found:

1. Craftlandia (Brazilian) has been mass DDoSing pretty much every server so they become #1

a. They have done this before, but people found their

Info and hit them back, but Mojang deleted the info.

Saying they will have "no part in it"

2. Brazil is know for its DDoSing capabilities (caused PSN hacking scandal

3. That Black lotus thing is a complete scam

4. A DDoS of this proportion, durability, and the time it has lasted, takes way more than 24,000$ and is hard to maintain. There fore these guys are good at what they do.

5. No person, for pure enjoyment would sit on his computer and maintain te DDoS for hours upon hours or spend so much money purely "enjoyment or revenge"

Ah...There is only 1 cause of all of our problems then:

Shift could we have an update on the situation? Like if the amount of how much ddos has dropped or has it risen?
