Wretched 2075 Share Posted October 17, 2012 Under the cover of night, Knox's grin begins to widen as he approaches the gatehouse to the city known as 'Normandor'. He mutters something under his breath about the weight of the body that he drags along with him, leaving nothing but the grusome sight of the dark shade of a red blood trail behind him. Knox giggles madly to himself as the head of the body thumps against the wooden steps as he nears his destination, peering his head back to observe the corpse, admiring its 'ragdoll like' features. Knox inhales one long breath as he releases the ankles of the body, leaving it slumped against the floor as he stretches out his arms, slightly worn out from the trip through Malinor. Knox's head creaks down to face the body, before snapping his gaze upwards as he glares at the gatehouse, examining it carefully from bottom to tip. Knox gasps as an idea enters his sick little mind - he spins around on his heel to sprint back down to the large tree at the crossroads, tearing down a cluster of vines with one swift tug, before prancing his way back up to the gatehouse to stand by the body once more. He then rests one boney knee against the ground as he ties two vines around the ankles of the body together tightly, redoing the knot a few times untill he was certain he couldn't get it anymore secure. Grabbing the body by the ankles, he hoists it upward, balancing it carefully on its head as he loops the rest of the vine over the iron bars that make up the gatehouse's gate. Knox grabs the vine and ties that also to the ankles, pulling down on it hard and grinning as the body is lifted into the air, apparently held secure by the thick lengths of vine. Knox rips open the shirt of the body with one clean swing of his dagger, before leaning his upper body forwards to carve something into the corpse's chest. The body, no longer having much blood left to spill, makes little mess as the word 'Knox' is carved into it's flesh. Knox takes a few paces back, nodding once as he admires his handywork. He then twirls his body round and continues his prance back down the path, leaving behind bloody bootmarks that eventually fade as he flees into the forest yet again. Anybody who may happen to find the body that hangs upside-down on the gatehousewill notice that it's clearly an elf. Both of its eyes have been torn from it's head and most of the face's skin has been torn away, revealing small sections of bloody bone underneath, plastered in bits of hanging flesh. The body itself is covered in dagger cuts with several large chunks of flesh missing here and there. There are even a few teeth marks visible, as well as the word 'Knox' carved deeply into the chest.
Zarsies 6795 Share Posted October 17, 2012 [[Not bad, but decent. One thing, my darling, you need to pay attention to your use of "it's" and "its", for "it's" seems to not be properly placed throughout your simplistic and cute tale~. :3 Also, good job. :3]]
rukio 8924 Share Posted October 17, 2012 Wither walks through Normandor, fascinated by the city. She walks past the gatehouse, then stops and looks back horrified. She spots the body and walks over toward it. With a gasp she shudders and looks at the eyes, then at the carved word on the chest. "Knox..." She says quietly while looking at the elf's body she tilts her head, wondering what the elf had done to deserve this death.
Samler 1565 Share Posted October 17, 2012 Seth, a pale skinned tall blonde high elf did fare to Normandor this evening, with his trusty long yet thin sword, and his three daggers, two wich would be smaller and of course his navi-captain like jacket to keep the cold away during the night, and no idea what would await him, only expecting some angry high elves and maybe dark elves too, but never blood on the stairs, that made him draw his sword that apparently had diamond as edge near the end of it where it was at it's thinest and one of the just shorter daggers, a carefully gaze goes for each of the arch way, not wanting any ambushes as he gets to the end of the bridge he sighs to see the elf. "Another one by Knox, wish he would have a better targeting.. Uruk would have been much better.." He then sees the child. "Did you see him, then he did this?" Seth asks, rather calmly. rukio 8924 Share Posted October 17, 2012 Wither looks toward the elf slightly surprised to see them. She replies "I didn't see who did it." and glances back toward the body. With a sigh she asks "Did you know the elf?" and looks back toward Seth with a look of curiousity.

Samler 1565 Share Posted October 17, 2012 Seth shakes his head, his gaze growing a little colder as he voices becomes emotionless. "I know who did this, not his lates 'art'. Atleast now like this." Seth turns around. "Guess my trip will be moved to a later date." Seth slowly starts to walk away, still prepared in case Knox wishes to make a come back with a new piece of art. Mpana 40 Share Posted October 18, 2012 *Ada limps slightly as she gets off the boat from the cloud temple, she removes the hood of her traveling cloak, not wanting to get in trouble with the guards again. She pauses for a moment and examens the walk to the fair city that has been her home for so long.* "Blood?" she whispers to herself. *She fiddles with the curved dagger that's tucked up the sleeve of her cloak, and approaches the gate. From a little ways down the walk she can pick out the form of a figure hanging by its ankles, and from the smell in the air it is most definitely dead. She walks up to the gate and examines the body, scared by the smallest possibility that her search might be over. She examines it and a mixture of grief for the dead elf before her, and relief that it's no one she knows. "Knox, definitely one to look out for." She murmurs when she finds the mark on the elf's chest. She then proceeds to pluck a blooming rose from the side of the path. She holds it over the flame of a torch for a few seconds, singing the petals and turning them a deep sooty black. She takes one last look at the murdered elf and places the blackened rose underneath it's head. She walks out of the city, replacing her hod, disturbed by what the world is coming to. WickedRN 60 Share Posted October 18, 2012 *Earenniel slowly gets up from her seat on the boat, stretching as she does. As she climbs down the ladder she takes the time to admire the slight breeze and beautiful day. Humming to herself, she makes her way to the bridge to Normandor. Suddenly she stops dead, laying eyes on the trail of blood leading to the gatehouse. Her happy mood now melted away, she rushes forward, blade drawn to the open gates. There, swaying slightly in the gentle breeze is an elf hanging dead. Earenniel begins to examine the body. Immediately her eyes fall upon the name "Knox" carved into the poor soul's body. "How could this be?!" she mutters to herself angrily. "I watched the man die, right in my own jail cell! It must have been the monks. They must have found him and repaired him. Next time, he will not escape me." Frustrated, she cuts the body down with her sword, wincing slightly as the lifeless body makes a "thump" on the hard wooden planks. Earenniel looks down briefly at her new clothes, frowning, but decides to heft the bloody body onto her shoulders anyway. With a "huff" she hoists him up and carries him away, with hopes of finding him a more suitable and honorable resting place.*

imjoebaker 40 Share Posted October 21, 2012 After returning from trip to Silva Insula Tengen begins to make way to Normandor. He potters about for some time before realising that the city is surprising empty for the time of day. With his business taken care of he slouches upon the gate wall hoping to see a familiar pass by. Some time passes until a troubled man appeared from the docks. He enquired about the local inn keeper, a friend of his, who has been missing for a few days. Unsure, and free of time, Tengen offered to lend a hand by searching the inn. He made his way to the front double doors to find they had been sealed tightly from the inside. Clearly the inn was not open for business. After some discussion as to where the keeper could be an engineer feel silent. With his eyes widened and his expression frozen as if the air had escaped his lungs, he pointed to the open window on the first floor. The friend of the Inn Keeper hesitantly moved forward. Before he could reach the window seal the engineer broke his silence by spitting out the words "There is blood by the stairs." Everything began to pick up a gear. Tengen rushed up the pine tree to get on the roof with the hope to pear in the second floor window. The other two followed suit, circling the building looking for a good vantage point. Open questions were repeatedly asked. "Who's blood is that?", "Do you see anymore?". Tengen looked into the distance stuck in thought. This situation was getting more concerning by the minute. One of the two men called out. Exclaiming that he saw a body slashed within the attic. Tengen's expression saddened. A lose of life, a truly unsettling image of a slaughtered man had imprinted in his mind. All fell silent. It was with that the enquiring fellow asked to be alone. Tengen was willing to help further, but with the door locked from within the inside he knew there was nothing he could do. He knelt down and whispered a blessing to the fallen man before turning away wrapped in thought. As he approached the bridge he over heard mutterings of "Was it the Knox?" ... "Apparently so". ek_knight 21 Share Posted October 22, 2012 * Maehrir walks up to the gates lost in her thoughts. Suddenly, she looks up and sees the corpse. Her complexion loses any color as she hurries of to the edge of the bridge, loosing her lunch. She shivers a little bit, as she scoots passed the corpse, trying not to look at it.*
