First, the appropriate music::

Alright, perhaps Roller Coasters wasn't the build contest people were after, though initial feedback had some excited people, no one posted an entry. SO! Here is a new build contest, with the same prize, as it was the most requested, plus something extra and a few runner-up prizes as well~~

Announcing~~~~~~~~THE DARK SHRINE BUILD CONTEST!

Contest Begins: Today, Saturday November 3rd, right now.

Contest Entry Period Ends: Wednesday, November 14th, at Midnight EST (Eastern Standard Time).

Judging will run from Thursday, November 15th through Sunday, November 18th, with a winner being announced by Sunday afternoon, sooner if the judging takes less time.

Here are the rules and guidelines::

1. Choose a Deity/God/Demon/Daemon/Iblees/Purpose/Belief/Whatever to build the shrine for.::

-You are not limited in theme, deity, loreset, etc. Build the shrine however you like, and for whatever purpose you like. Make it look incredible.

2. The shrine, and all decoration/redstone device wiring/etc (if there is any), must be contained in an area no larger than 200x200 blocks (you may go as high or as low as you like within that area.)

3. Try to make it clear that the shrine is intended for evil acts and/or worship as best you can.

4. You must create a CSP world (creative single player), you may use a normal map, a flat world map, whatever you like.

5. Use creative mode, please, it's a huge timesaver and there's no need to worry about wasting your contest time gathering resources.

6. You may work together on a contest entry if you like, but the prize will NOT be doubled, so you'll have to find a way to split it. I encourage solo projects.

7. Once you have completed your build, compress the save into a .ZIP or .RAR file and upload it to a file storage site (there are plenty of free ones, I use http://www.filedropper.com/ myself) and copy the link here with the following entry layout::

THE PRIZES!

The prize for this contest is also taken directly from my poll you all voted on...

FIRST PLACE::

The First Place entry will recieve $25 donor credit towards LotC server Donation Rank (Iron VIP if you have none atm), as well as a FREE Character Commission Sketch from Kirrekith~

I have clarified the general allowed limits with him, and these are the details of what the sketch limits are::

-One Character, full-body, OR Two characters, waist-up.

-You may choose the type of pose, the character details, facial expression, background, etc. If you are going to be extremely detailed, provide reference pictures of complicated poses/expressions, clothing/accessories, etc.

-I suggest providing general details and giving the artist creative freedom, those are generally the best results.

-The sketch will be black-and-white with shading.

SECOND PLACE::

THIRD PLACE::

The Third Place entry will recieve $10 donor credit towards LotC server Donation Rank ( Coal VIP if you have none atm).

Wow, got this done WAY faster then I expected. I have way to much time on my hands am just a fast builder I guess.

NAME: iunno (Don't know what you mean by this, xD)

Description: Ok, so the entire shrine thing is surrounded by a small Nether Brick wall with some Obsidian. There is a central "sacrifice" area right at the gate where there is a hole that goes into The Void surrounded by fire for sacrificing. Then right in front of it is a giant statue of a dragon, made to look like an Ender Dragon, except not as square and more "Nethery" then "Endery". The ground is supposed to look as if it's starting to become infected by the Nether. The wall is about 150 wide, so it doesn't go past the limit. Hope you like it. Could have done some other stuff but Single Player Commands isn't updated yet. If it does update before the deadline I will add other things that can only be done with Worldedit.
