A humble return

On a night dark, on a day tiresome. Jaehaerys began a plan devious, not in his lifetime could he bear the burden of Head-monkhood. His age was getting worse, weaker and weaker as the days passed. His soul and devout nature might've kept his life

for a while longer, but he tried hard not to focus on what might be. He had to leave. In a way which would not arouse suspicion, a long and tiresome leave. One he intended not to come back from.. Though to his own surprise a complication he could never anticipate. His shaky hands overstrained inserted far too much of willows bark, and other such ingredients. When he took the tea, a long and dreary gulp. Alice beside, a reaction. His heart slowing, a small shriek begging for life before he fell to the pillow. Seemingly dead.. And he was. Jaehaerys, whom life long. Whose devout nature to the Triumvirate was without question, Alice screamed and screamed, searching for a monk. A friendly old monk stepping in, staring to Jaehaerys. Eyes opening.

He prayed, the monk old. An orange glow from the old monk's hands, pressing it around Jaehaerys's body... Attempting to restart his heart. To a certain avail, he managed to, a beat thumping. Slowly, as intended. Jae's eyes only lightly flickering, the old monk himself falling back. Groaning out of lack of energy. Stepping to a sigh, lying on a chest near the head monk.. Saying softly, as he looks upon the body of Jaehaerys. Only barely living. "Leave him.. He shall live to fight. But as he once was? I do not know.." Jaehaerys stayed in the state he was for a near day. Many believing him dead, as he wished. Though not in such a circumstance. He awoke a day later, fear in his eyes. Tired as he always was. But a realization came to him, if he died then.. The monks would lose oneof their oldest healers. The world would lose people like him, who saved and healed. The old monk entering to visit.. Jae looking to him, saying softly. "I needed a holiday... Do not tell anyone of what you saw here. Tell alice I died, tell Aemond Illith'iari as well.. They may not like the truth, nor would I be willing to tell them.. I apologize for this. Brother. But I beg you.. Tell them I am dead, brother.."

And so he did. Jae equipping a robe made of cloth and velvet, crimson lining it. Brooches inside, small amounts of food. A good deal of minas, he left the monks. Sighing, as he turned his back. Taking his holiday. Knowing one day, he must reyurn.. A tiresome wait. Five years until he shall return, as he decided.. A good number. Five years later.

On a sunny morning, light shining through the

leaves, the same old man trudging through. Looking into the main temple, saying under his cloak as he looked around, "Where is Lucien?" He frowned. Looking into the main temple, finding Lucien. Pulling down his hood, the man Lucien saw was much less stressed. Far more relaxed, very lightly some wrinkles faded lighter, his skin was more vibrant. He seemed calmer, happier then he had ever seen Jaehaerys, Jaehaerys bowed his head in a silent show of respect, Lucien failed for words. Stating to Lucien in a long vibrant voice.

"

Lucien.

I have disgraced the monks. I have lied, for my death was faux. Whatever the monk who aided me told you

all. It was naught but my own scapegoat.. I could not stand for the monkhood's strains. I am an old man, far older then I should be. I have always been safe in my life.. I beg you take me back. Not as head monk, no. Of course not. But I ask you allow me to reprise my role as planner of events, if you do not wish an old man with many regrets in the temple. I will not contest.."

Lucien nodded, and so the humble monk of Name Jaehaerys entered the temple once more, returning tiredly to his old room. Smiling lightly.

[Alan asked I write an explanation as punishment, and I am coming back being I am unbanned! :)]

[[ Thank you for this, although it's not a punishment. This is something you should have done the first time around ;) ]]
