Nothing compares to the stature and power of the ships it possesses. Not once has another faction been even a slight challenge for the men and their beloved vessels upon the high seas of any realm. The emperor reserves all right to hold his fleet as the most magnificent set afloat the waters of the realm. Commanded by the high admiralty with the experience of a lifetime and knowledge of the seas that only another group could dream of possessing, they are considered the most deadliest naval authority to roam the realm. With the added possibilities of the grand armies of the emperor embarking upon the fleet to become a naval assault force, the power stretches of the Holy Empire have never felt so at rest. _______________________________________________ The Mighty Vessels of the Fleet HMS Godfrey Tier I. Captain- Haelphon Tarus Total Mechanisms - 60 Manual Loading Dispensers; 5 Long Range Balistas [small] Total Masts - 3 Deep Rigged Masts Total Sails - 8 Mainsails + 2 Reserves Total Berths - 20 Crew + 6 Officer HMS Oren Tier I. Captain- Ace Soulblade Total Mechanisms - 16 Manual Loading Dispensers; 5 Long Range Balistas [small] Total Masts - 2 Deep Rigged Masts Total Sails - 2 Mainsails + 1 Reserve Total Berths - 8 Crew + 2 Officer The Sturdy Crew of the Fleet Grand Admiral of the Fleet - Throdo Therving [Mylimo7] - An admiral of the fleet (also known as fleet admiral) is a military naval officer of the highest rank. This position holds the unrivaled power over the fleet and cannot be undermined by anyone except the emperor himself. Ultimately all naval related issues are answered by this man. Vice Admiral of the Fleet - - None as of yet - - Answers only to those positions above him and provides more of the more menial tasks of the Admiralty and attends most of the ceremonial appearances. This position also holds the right to order any men from below himself in the hierarchy. Must swear an oath in front of God and his majesty to the Grand Fleet Admiral. Admiral - None as of yet - The lesser members of the imperial admiralty yet still hold a large part of the authority within the naval establishment. These are men that have managed to prove their skills within the art of tactics and leadership in the heat of battle and have been given the chance to command a larger flotilla of ships on certain occasions. Commodore - Peter Chivay [sheumgal] - Captains of late and the men that the prove themselves and show possible potential as future admirals of the fleet shall be temporarily promoted to this rank and given a task with a decided number of ships. They shall be assessed and judged on by the upper admiralty. Think of it as a trial admiral. Captain - Haelphon Tarus [Acerbuddy], Ace Soulblade [MG_SAVIOR] color]- As many should know, this position is given to those with good leadership skills and those capable of taking orders. They shall command the individual vessels and if necessary follow the directives order by the upper and high ranking members of the admiralty. These people will also be allowed to select the positions of the crew. Crew - The staple and general men and women that serve the naval fleet. They make up the main driving force for the success of the Holy empire in their contacts at sea. Without the bravery and courage of these men and women the fleet shall not be able to function. Each Crew Must Complete All or Three Objectives of Each Tier to Advance to the Next Tier. Navy Events: Tier I. Praetor 1550 Share Posted November 22, 2012 As Altariel wanders along in Arethor, her mind wandering in pace with her feet, she spots the large sign, her eyebrows rising sharply. With a small smirk, she snickers and slowly picks her loyal little messanger bird from her shoulder with a gloved hand. She ignores it's indignant squeaks while she sets it on a post and takes out pencil and paper, scribbling on the pad rapidly. Once done, she attaches the note to the bird, and sends it off into the darkening evening. With another smile she walks off. Only little after, no more than two hours, a cloaked figure wanders through the dark streets of Arethor. It stops as it reaches the position of the sign, and takes out a large scrolls. Setting it up against the Large poster board, illuminated only by a nearby torch it begins to write madly on it's scroll. I try to be on at least an hour (usually more) a day. In Character Name: "Mutie" Age: 26 Race: Halfling Experience: Mutie is very familiar with cleaning and the ways of waxing ship. No one really knows why; some say he wandered onto an abandoned ship and just started cleaning. He brushed the deck off with a broom, swabbed the floors, cleaned prints and busts, left the Captain's Quarters very tidy and neat. He knows his way around a ship, but one of the weirdest things about him is that he's a mute. He communicates with gestures, or by drawing pictures. Although not experienced in Military training, Mutie knows his ways in combat. He is most proficient in stealthy operations, and often resorts to wacking people with his broom as a form of self defense. It can prove to be annoying at times. Mutie will devote himself fully to the cause he finds to be the most rewarding, and cleaning is his forte. Qualifications: Mutie likes nice smelling things, and obviously had a sense of tidyness and extreme order in his home, when he still lived in one. Sailors say they've seen no man stroke a broom or swab a slab of wood faster or more efficiently than Mutie. He has a record to keep, after all. Reasons why you are right for the job: Oren needs a Deckhand, right? Who else is going to clean the ship for almost no pay? That's Mutie. That's his job. I have seen and fought in many battles across the sea. My captain, who I had served and stayed loyal to for many years, saw that I had much potential to have my own ship, so he wrote me a recommendation to become a Captain of my own ship. A few weeks later, I was promoted, and was presented with my own ship and crew. Then, **** hit the fan (excuse my language) and the government I was serving ordered me and my crew to attack our own people. I didn't trust the legitimacy of these orders and so I refused to kill my own people. In consequence for my actions, I was demoted and served 7 years in military prison. When I got out, I handed in my resignation, as I had no desire to server a corrupt government and I sailed here, to Asulon. Qualifications: I was the former captain of the HMS Defiant, first officer of the HMS Legacy and I'm a qualified tactian and strategist. Also, before my officer days, I was a qualified medic, working in a clinic in my hometown. Reasons why you are right for the job: Well, as I stated before, I have experience in being a Captain of my own ship. Im a loyal and honest man, and I have a passion for sailing. I'm a well known tactician and strategist, which was a major factor that got me through my career. Im a very hardworking man, and I often take it upon my own initiative to fix something.
