Rules

  • Audio must be a lone voice, with no backing track.

Scripts

Racial ones should have pauses of approx. 5 seconds between sentences.

Human:

The most versatile and adaptive of all races, the Humans can be found in nearly every environment. They most commonly settle on wide grassy plains near water sources where they can farm their numerous crops. Using whatever materials are available, the children of Horen build grand cities and monuments. The looks of the Humans range from the tall, lithe Southerons to the pale, sturdy Northerners to the short, peaceful Halflings. Humans are flexible in combat, adapting to the setting of the battle, but many prefer to wield a sword. Cursed with short lives, the Humans are driven by curiously to explore and understand the world. They are noted for being the most politically unstable and most populous of the races.

Elves:

The longest lived of all races, the Elves are graceful and wise. The beautiful High Elves, nimble Wood Elves and cunning Dark Elves are renowned for their pointy ears and height. The Elves live among the forest, integrating themselves into the woodsy environment. At home in the trees, the children of Malin live with nature and are blessed with peace and tranquility. It’s not a good idea to make them angry, however, as Elves are agile, fast and skilled in combat with the bow. The curse of Iblees means that despite their long lives, the Elves are unable to have as many children as the rest of the races.

Orcs:

The Orcs live in the harshest desert environments that cause other races to wither away. A fiery people, the Orcs are cursed with bloodlust but also strong, honour-bound and attentive to tradition. Combat and fighting are extremely important to the Orcs, frequently bringing them into conflict with the Dwarves that they mutually respect and hate. Green skinned, muscular and imposing, these children of Krug are frequently misunderstood by other races. Relations with Halflings have been particularly negative. A primarily nomadic people, the cities of the Orcs lean towards small settlements in the sands of the desert. The Orcish bloodline splits into the closely related massive Nomads, wise Shamans and intelligent Goblins.

Dwarves:

Children of Urguan, the Dwarves are a strong, stout people. Long regarded as having the most magnificent beards among all races, the Dwarf is happiest when swigging back ale or devouring roasted meat. Their massive underground cities reflect a love for mining and digging into the depths of the earth. Although the greed of Dwarves constantly drives them to search for ores and treasure, these loyal people form strong bonds within their clans. Often in conflict with the Orcs due to their similarities and differences, the Dwarves tend to favour a battleaxe in combat. Other than the common Dwarf there are also the nature-loving Forest Dwarves, deepest digging Cave Dwarves and fierce Mountain Dwarves.

Basic Thread:

Greetings applicant, and welcome to the Lord of the Craft’s brand new Application System. We’ve introduced a totally new and unique system so that applying for the Lord of the Craft is easier than ever!

Before we explain the details regarding applying itself, we’d like to give you a bit of inspiration regarding creating a character and making your application. Don’t be cliche! Be original. Make your character something that you want it to be!

It’s your application, and it’s your chance to be creative with it. You don’t need to keep the formats styling like it is by default - why not make the questions into pictures, or make your biography in a video form? It’s up to you! The more effort you put into your application, the chances are - the better it’s going to be. So, be creative. Be imaginative. Be yourself.

Now, onto the more dull details!

In order for you to apply, we only require you to do a few simple things. Firstly, you should head on over to our extensive wiki and read the lore of the server. You can get there by pressing that big picture on the screen right now. Most importantly at this stage, you should decide what race you want to play as and read up on that race. You will notice that under each races heading below there’s information about it and links to wiki pages relating to that race. Make sure you give it all a good read as knowing the lore will seriously aid you through making a good application!

Secondly, head on over to the rules - you can get there by clicking the flashy button on screen now. Make sure you give these rules a thorough read, as you really need to know them, or you might end up getting in trouble!

Now, it’s time for you to actually make your application. Scroll down the page you’re on just now. You’ll notice four headings, one for each major race - Humans, Elves, Dwarves and Orcs. Click on the SHOW tag that corresponds to the race you want to play as! You should instantly notice the profile page on that race and the expectations for someone roleplaying as the race. Make sure you give these a good read and scroll on down to the format itself.

The format is simple to fill in - you simply type your answers outside of the colour brackets. Once you’ve filled it in, just post it!

It’s really that simple!

This is the point where you need to have some patience - a member of our hand-picked and expert application team will pop onto your application and read it. They will then decide whether they are going to accept or deny you to the server. If they accept you then you just need to wait for a Game Master to Implement you, however if you’re denied you have more work to do!

You need to wait the allocated amount of time between posting applications, as specified below! Make sure you don’t post it before this or you will be denied! During this time period you have a chance to read over the Application Team Member’s advice and correct the faults that they find - hopefully, if you do this fully, next time you’ll be accepted!

If you have any trouble throughout the Application process the Application Team is here to help - simply post your question in the forum and they’ll get back to you. You can get there by clicking on screen just now.

Now, what are you waiting for? Haven’t you got an application to write? Good luck!

I may enter this but I presume you want an adults voice? Rather than a mostly broken teenagers?

I also think its illegal for somebody who isn't Scottish to do the dwarf intro.
