Supremacy

Smiles as he tilts his head slightly, his bangs swaying in the airs around him as he continues to speak again to the man, his tone careful and selected; as if he wasn't even offended by the way the man spoke to him. Rather from his own life experiences he had expected nothing less and was rather pleased to find it was still holding true. "How does one who lives among his kin expect to beat those who are not. To know how another works, is to know how to ensure your own survival. For all your speech I am curious if you would speak the same to those whom matter, for you speak of wisdom, but your actions revolve around the fire talk." At this Meta gestures simply at the flames, neither hinting his disapproval nor approval, letting those who heard him figure out his intentions themselves.

"I do not seek to be wise among others, for true wisdom is an understanding of one self and the world around them. To believe oneself wise is to admit one's own foolishness. As I have said before, though I fear you may have misheard, I do not live among the valah, nor of the land they desire, though I am honored you would bare memory of one of my talents." At these words Meta offered the smallest of head gestures, tilting his head in the elves direction before continuing, his eyes casted slightly downwards from what they had been before his motion, "Though you are again incorrect, for putting all of one's talents into a single art is to lose one's touch with adaptation...To enlighten oneself through wisdom and body is to empower oneself."

((:P Everyone thinks Meta's an elf. x3 hehe))

"Do you intend to actually contribute to this discussion or simply make long winded but ultimately non-sensical points about wisdom?

Do not think you can outwit all those gathered here with your valah-influenced thoughts. Many here have had many years to contemplate such issues. You, with your seemingly young and perhaps part valah heritage have lacked such time."

*Kalenz chuckles*

"Which then brings me to yet another query. Do you simply quote some aged valah tome when you speak? Or do you simply make up your illogical banter?"

*Quavinir looks at Meta, a bit peeved ay his explanation of "understanding" and stands up, and begins speaking with religeous zeal his accent now nonexistant*

Bah!, you speak as of wisdom and understanding as if it does not make you wise among men! you disgust me blue haired boy, you insult me with your petty knowledge of understanding, normal for untrained man, honestly, you should never speak of undestanding to a priest of Rthulu, For through understanding one gains wisdom, and trough wisdom we are enlightened to the true workings of this earth, but true understanding is not achieved by the evil, and ignorant, but true understanding is given when Purity is achieved, for through purity is a true state of understanding.

*Kalenz looks to Quavinir for a moment with disdain but then turn to Meta with a sly smile*

Despite the fact this valah, one who seems to be welcome in Malinor describes such faults in religious terms... I would agree he is certainly correct.

Smiles as he holds out his hand to Kalenz shaking his head softly, "If you truly take it so harshly then I will speak easier. By the action that I am here, it seems I wish to contribute, you yourself were the one who first begun your discussion with me so I replied in kindness. To ignore you would have done neither of us justice. Nor do I seek to..." stopping for a moment he mulls over the correct words before looking back at him, "heighten myself above anyone here, I respect age and the knowledge that comes with it, to surround oneself with others is to gain their strength." His words were choiced now as he watched the man pick on and on about his heritage, yet his founding were questionable, I had hoped for a true discussion...this does grow to be most tiresome. Yet his smile was serene as he looked at the man, "And that is why I am here to speak among you, yet it is most unbecoming of one of such age to react so rashly to a newcomer. You think off of what you see, from few observations. The one's I have spoken with before waited, tested, then spoke...To jump to a decision due to some infomation makes a rash action out of you."

Turns to the human speaker now, a bit interested that the man had suddenly spoken up, wondering if he had gone mute. "But the question is, when has one achieved balance, or as you call it purity, and when is one self-aware that they have?"

"First impressions leave a mark for a reason tali'mali. As for a harsh reaction, those of Oren are not meant to be within Malinor. Indeed, your presence is both astounding and disturbing. A curious choice why you would wander a place at night where those such as you may just be killed for simply being tali'mali or having been seen about Oren.

You do not bring news, nor witty banter. It seems your presence is a bit wasted upon this group, no?"

Tilts his head at this point even further to the side, as he wonders how many times he had to repeat the same phrase to this elf before he actually gathered it correctly, "I do not live in Oren, I live in the lands of Silva, which is home to elves...and allied with elven territories, also I have been welcomed and walked among here many times." His tone had lost the inquisitive nature as he was trying his hardest not to insult the elf by at this point he had said this twice already, this time marking his third time to refer to it. "And while first impressions make a mark, I bare record on the last. As the past influences the present, the present is the fact we deal with now."

*Quavinir looks at Meta happily, glad to finaly have a chance to debate his favorite subject*

Ah, a true state of purity is not a state of self-awareness but rather a state of understanding, a point in which you have perfect unity between the mind, body, and soul, and through that, understanding is truely achieved, when we are given a greater perspective , a greater view of all things that concern our lives, a focal point in which your eyes are opened, and all things become clear."

"Being of Silva Insula does not make you superior to the valah of the mainland. The island itself is rife with psychopaths, and violent valah as well. Yet it does... Somewhat explain why you stand here.

Yet, lies are something anyone is capable of. In addition, this does not explain your presence in Malinor at night now does it? Would you care to elaborate?"

Finally finding the banter he was looking for out of the human he smiled at his words and nodded, "Your perception is respectful and spoken well, I can see how my art can be seen as the way of trying to open one's eyes to everything. To be one with nature and it's way of adaptation and becoming one with the world around us...You speak well of your conviction." Returns the smile at once to the man, noticing the way the man seemed to light up about the subject, while Meta's in return only seemed to flow into a soft smile, yet his eyes seemed to light up, debates of training were always something he enjoyed. "So you seek understanding by balance in all three, where do you see balance in that which revolves around the body mind and soul?" He addes, curious for the man's input as his hairs again are shifted from his face to remove the dangling bangs.

Yet, it was again the elf who interuppted, still on the same track as Meta almost felt a sigh, For one who is suppose to be wise and collective, he is most rash and unrelenting...yet he calls me the valah Could just barely surpress the smirk within his heart as he turned his attention slightly to Kalenz to answer softly, "Silva is not a land of humans, it is a land of the free, though last I checked they aren't many, humans, as mostly elves live there. Nor have I ever claimed living in one place makes me better then another, if anything I choose to wish to understand them, to gather their knowledge and use it for myself. I do not regret living among them, for I disagree with methods that are taken there, and the training of the guard as well." Yet the final sentence the man spoke rung true, though it was a remark in the past, "Actually the island is quite quiet right now...many have moved on or have changed over the years, though I may note that most of the psycopaths you speak of were of the same bloodline as yourself, though I would not condemn you for their sins. You are wise, though your actions at times disagree. Fault in the fall is not fault if one rises from the ground." At that he turned to look around him and then offered the honest truth to the man, "Because my family is here, my wife's history is here, and I was out for meditation training when I passed by here."

*Kalenz eyes Meta carefully for a moment before sighing and taking a seat once more and falling silent.

"Let the valah have their petty argument."He mutters under his breath.

*Quavinir smiles happily yet again, his red eyes looking at Meta with gladness, happy to finaly meet someone willing to hear*

"Purity in mind, body, and soul, is achieved through purity in actions, and thoughts, the standard things: don't be lustful, be kind, treat others better than yourself, don't make love to someone your not married to, things of that manner, though, that doesnt mean if you have done any of those things that you can't reach purity, it simply means you won't be able to attain purity doing those things."

Watched with calm eyes as the elf finally lowered himself to seat and calmed himself, though from the way he did such gave the inclination that he didn't do this willing or with desire. Yet with that battle more or less settled and won Meta felt it would be more time assuming to settle into other discussions for the time being, though while the elf who had sat down was rash, Meta had a sense he was more then he gave off. Last impressions are the lasting one's after all...Though Malineer himself offered better arguments. He felt himself reciting quietly, smiling inwardly at his father's lessons before returning to the conversation at hand with a off-handily nature.

"Ahhh so your definition of balance, is by bringing balance to that around you, you bring balance within yourself. As one takes from nature, by consumption of food and land, one must give to achieve balance, or as you say purity by giving and offering." His tone was noticeably lighter with Quavinir, enough so that the chilled icy tone he had when he arrived had eased ever so slightly. "Though just like life, you can continue to stand up even if you have fallen, for while you cannot obtain balance as you fall, for it has been lost, you may regain it as you stand back up." He added as an addtional remark as it was as true during his training, while falling he struggled to regain his control, but the moment he did he would spring back up on his feet, in balance, and as this man said, in purity.

*Quavinir smiles happily, glad to finaly see someone understand his odd rants of purity, again resuming speaking in his low, rhaspy voice, Quavinir pauses, taking time to chose his words well*

"Yes! you are correct blue-haired Meta! but in fact, there is more necissarily "Perks" to purity, an old thing that I, as a priest of Rthulu practice, is a physical, bodily state of purity, as there is pleasure in understanding life in soul, in mind, where understanding grants knowledge, which is food for the mind, there is in fact a physical way to enjoy it, "Bodily" necessarily, i can explain it if you wish to know, don't worry, its not anything coarse or of that matter..
