Hello and welcome to the Dwarves and the 3.0 map. This topic will hold many different subjects and info which I plan on implementing for the Dwarves in 3.0. If you like it or have a problem with it please voice you opinions.

Dwarves and their Capital

Homes:

Homes will be sold within the Capital for a price based on the economy of the server. There will be homes of different sizes and pricing. The cheapest of homes will be flop houses where people can get a free bed and storage box. These homes are temporary and will be cleaned out bi-weekly. The next level up would be cheap homes. These will be located about the city in corners and will be very small. The next ones up will be medium housing. They are built like the homes in Kal Urguan. The last tier is the rich homes which are quite large and spacious. Homes might have a bi-weekly tax to show activity. If you are inactive for too long your house will be repossessed and the supplies given to the kingdom.

Shops:

There are a total of 16 shops in the city. Two or more of them will be used for the Kingdom's Shop that will be ran by the High Merchant. Shops can be bought by anyone, dwarf or outsider. After buying a shop you must also buy the appropiate Lisense from the Remembrancer. If you do not have the proper paper work for your buisness you will be shut down and your possessions lost to the Kingdom. You home might also be lost depending on what the Clan Lord's Court Council votes upon.

Working and Resource collection:

This area is very iffy as I have not heard a for sure on how mines and resources will be collected. What I do know is that mines will be multiversed and those will be scattered around the map. The Kingdom's Shop will buy almost every item within the game. It will be up to yourself to find yourself a job and collect the items to sell to make money. There are many jobs you can do like miner or being in the Legion. Legion member will only have to pay 1/2 taxes while everyone else will have to pay full taxes.

Taxes:

Taxes will be put on shops first and then homes as a activity check. The Head Merchant will be in-charge of collecting the taxes and keeping up with activity checks and making sure everyone has the proper paper work for their businesses. Teaxes can be payed in money or in materials. If payed in materials, the materials will only be worth-ed 3/4 of its price. This is a very touchy subject.

Laws:

The laws of the Kingdom are created by the King and his council. All dwarves, other races, and the sub kingdoms must abide by the laws set or face punishment.

Council Members:

Council members must be active everyday. They must keep updated on the current happenings of the Kingdom and do their jobs correctly. I will be stepping down on laziness and if your not doing your job you will be replaced.

Settlements:

New settlements can be created when the capital is full. There is ample space for the other settlements but the lands underground must be settled first. Any dwarf or surfacer can approach the King and petition for land. The King can then bring it to the Council to vote upon it. Buy land will be very expensive.

Guilds:

Guilds can also buy small plots of land or clan halls within the city to based themselves out of. Guilds must help the Kingdom in some way weather it be in troops or supplies. Guild leaders must swear loyalty to the King once they start.

Sub Kingdoms:

There can be up to 3 sub kingdoms within the Dwarven Kingdom. There are already two but those will be kept secret till later. Each leaders of these sub kingdoms will be considered Thanes of the Dwarven Kingdom. There are Nobles within the Dwarven Kingdom and the dwarves will respect it. Citizens of the sub kingdoms are considered equal to the dwarven citizens unless they are within the Capital.

Laws: The Sub Kingdoms will respect all the laws of the Kingdom of Urguan. They can create their own within their lands but their laws will only affect their citizens not the others. Visitors of the Sub kingdoms must abide by each others laws if they are in their lands. If a citizen of another Kingdom goes against the laws of the land, the owners of the land can punish them first and then hand them over to their home land for further punishment.

Land Claims: The Thanes can all claim new land for themselves but it comes down to the King of the Kingdom of Urguan. He will decided which Thane will get what land if they claim it. The King can just keep the land for himself and his kingdom however.

War: When one Kingdom goes to war. the others must follow it. Unless in certain situation the King of the Dwarves can decide if the Thane is at fault . Trying to cause a war without a right cause can lead to you loosing your land.

Looks great! Although, I wish when I was Grand Merchant I had something to do like the new one! Will the sub-kingdoms be strictly Dwarven?

Aw, I liked it when the Dwarves had no taxes. However, I see the reasoning behind it, and I am in support of it

Looks awesome. Just one question: Will the Forest Dwarves and Mountain Dwarves have their own kingdom? Or are they too small to be given one?

ATM there are two confirmed sub kingdoms that have done their rp before the lost of asulon. A dwarven one might be the doomforge but i haven't heard much of them yet

We removed the sub races as a majority vote with the higher ups of dwarves and some GMs. Right now dwarves can live anywhere and do anything they want. Characteristics are now more clan related IE the grandaxes liking wood and bigger and the Ironguts being cave lovers and smaller then most dwarves.

Then there is Maellik who I have RPed as being a mix of these two types of personality and physiology. With subraces gone does that mean that Maellik likely has some sort of Grandaxe influence on his unknown mother's side?

I would like to have the legion post I have made to be the permanent format from now on, to remove any problems in the future if I was to be demoted at any point in time, I would also like to promote a Guard's law or a system the Guards will operate by for minor crimes or for swift judgement when there is no time for a court hearing.. And I also want to see a fully revised taxing system that will and should be implemented into the constitution along with what I have just stated to avoid difficulty in the future.

For further clarification, Grandaxes are still dwarves of the mountains, inheriting many of the traits we'd see in Mountain Dwarves. It's more that the definition has instead altered slightly to fit in with our current lore which has us all descended from Urguan. While you can still call a Grandaxe a Mountain Dwarf and an Irongut a Cave Dwarf, they're not actually different races, they just hold different characteristics based upon their bloodlines.

I'm not sure if any Forest Dwarf clans remain, though the main Mountain Dwarf clans have chosen to live in the Kingdom of Urguan for the foreseeable future.

How much will these "Rich People" Houses cost? I expect that they will be paid for in minas? Also, shall there be a space in which i can practice my alchemy? So many questions. . .so little answers!
