The Proposal Of An Amendment

Consular Valen Grandaxe nestles himself upon an iron seat, awaiting the presence of the rest of the council, his arms outstretched in front of him. His eyes drift around the room as he places a wooden pipe, between his teeth, carefully lighting it with an oddly shaped contraption. Impatiently, he taps his fingers against the armrest and ponders thoughts on the recent troubles between the Grand Marshall, Kjell Ireheart and the King, Hiebe Irongut. Never before had he seen or heard of such a divide between a King and Paragon.

After some time, the remaining council members begin to pour into the room, one by one taking their seats within the grand council chamber. As the King's Royal Guard enters the room, Valen and the other council members rise to their feet, before the dwarven King, Hiebe Irongut hobbles towards his throne at the head of the table. Each of the dwarves bow before taking their seats once again. As the King rests back in his throne, Valen rises and gives a slight tilt of his head, as each of the council members turn their heads towards him. He unrolls a parchment in his hands, and begins speaking in a gruff tone, his voice bellowing throughout the chamber.

"In loight of recent troubles between t'e King n' t'e Grand Marshal, ah Valen Grandaxe, Consular ov t'e Kingdom ov Urguan, 'erebeh propose an amendment tae our great constitution... T'ese recent troubles 'ave largeleh baen t'e result ov disagreements between t'ose ov us 'o wud seek tae droive out t'ose nawt ov dwarven blud n' t'ose 'o wud 'ave 'em integrated intae our societeh. T'e constitution wus created tae unoite us n' suh wit' t'is amendment, ah wud 'ope t'at t'ose 'o seek justice will feel t'eir words 'ave baen 'eard. As Valen finishes speaking, he lays out the parchment onto the table for each of the council members to read. He then retakes his seat, awaiting the opinion of the rest of the council.

Amendment to be made to:

Article I: Governmental Powers

Section D: Election

- Only those citizens, fully possessing dwarven blood may run for election on the Grand Council of the Kingdom of Urguan or hold any power within the legislative branch of the dwarven government.

Watching from a dark corner of the council chamber, Bael watches the proceedings with disgust.

"Suh, 'et seems as if ah willnae be runnin' fer governmen' ev'r.

He spits a huge glob of phlegm on the ground as he utters his next words.

"Full bluud'd dworf meh feckin' arse."

He walks away, shrouded in shadows, shaking his head.

Dis amendmant ish unnecessary fer it ish already in da constitution.

I quote under Article: 1, Section D: Elections:

Any one dwarf can run for any council position. Although, it is recommended to be already apart of the organisation or guild that the particular council position is the head of.

Therefore this amendment is unnecessary. For those of you 'ho havn't read the constitution well enough, I suggest ye revise it once more. Alsho, dis law alsho goes fer te king.

I tink it should just be clarified more anywaysh. But wut ish alreadeh in te constitution never says Honorary dwarvesh can be elected. It says Dwarvesh and Dwarvesh onleh.

Bael is bloody confused on how Uzgul managed to make his way into the council chamber, see him standing in a dark corner and start shouting at him.
