Volutional 935 Share Posted December 16, 2012 -Hello! I'm Volutional, a LoTCer, FM and Aspiring Composer. I wish to propose an oppertunity to do you race, yourself and LoTC proud - as well as getting yourself a hefty prize of $25 worth of VIP (see below for details). All you must do, is make an appropriate set of Lyrics for any kind of tune, that make sense and relate to your race. You can be as creative as you can.-Why? Because I'd like to make a lovely, or maybe foreboding musical piece to accompany and tell the story of your lyrics. Credit will be given wherever possible, and always given. And your race will have some Musical background finally!-Conditions;______________________-The piece must make sense (as in... previous events in LoTC, a person / ruler, or perhaps a folktale)-You must be original (I don't want any FAR OVER, THE MISTY MOUNTAINS, or, ONLY A CAT OF A DIFFERENT COAT (Game of Thrones), copies please)-It can be about your race, your character, somebody else's character, a place, anything LoTC.-If you already have $25 worth of VIP, you can either- Have $25 worth added onto your current VIP- Gift your prize to another- Put $25 towards a VIP package of your choice (a discount basically)-______________________Prizes;-1st - $25 worth of VIP, and your lyrics shall be used for a soundtrack!-2nd - Your lyrics shall be used for a soundtrack!-3rd - Your lyrics shall be used for a short soundtrack!______________________-Ps. Not at all, you can if you wish - but I'd appreciate words just as much. I will compose around your lyrics, very similarly to how Tolkien written his lyrics and Howard Shore composed around them. Sharpen the axe, ready the spear! What do you do when you see grey skin? Slice it off, slice it to pieces thin! What do you do when he arrogantly smiles? Wipe his head over the tiles! What do you do when he shoots you a look? Hang him on a tree with a fishing hook! What do you do when he brings you a flower? Give him a beating, make him cower! What do you do when he talks all fancy? Make him do some legless dancin'! What do you do when he's below the ground? Dig him up and feed 'im to a hound! Stag 3234 Share Posted December 24, 2012 Here is my submission The life of a Halfling I sat on a mountain above the clouds. Watched over the world so high. A vantage challenged by none. But then I realized It was no mountain But a hill. Oh the life of a halfling where hills are mountains and pebbles are hills. Oh the life of a halfling keeps at peace. I paddled down the roaring river! Fighting the current back. Heading towards the falls of water. But then it came to me. I'm a halfling. This is no river. This is a stream, 2 feet wide. Oh the life of a halfling where streams are the mightiest rivers and a drop of rain could drown a man. Oh the life of a halfling beware the world! I sat at my table and looked at the 10 foot stack of food. How could one such as I attempt to conquer it? But then I realized It was a single cookie. Oh! The life of a halfling. Everything is oversized. While we are undersized. Hills, streams, cookies, Orcs! Oh! The life of a halfling. How I wish I could reach the top shelf. But I guess it doesn't matter.
