I think that there should be more than one island. There should be an island for every race, each one with a different biome. For example, a mountainous island for the dwarves, and an island full of forest for the elves, and so on. This would prevent conflicts in between races of different kind, and would suit their liking.

Why aren't we just patiently waiting for 3.0?

Did you read the whole topic? The op?

I did. I just think that the GMs have recently done a complete 180 and are allowing every whim of the players to affect the server. We don't need anything more. What is wrong with just dealing with what we have till the new world is ready?

Because what we have has way to many flaws and is simply pushing people away. While I do understand we all want 3.0 to come, if we make another island, it'll still come at the same time, so I say why force everyone to have to 'deal with' the current island when we don't even have to.

I think the idea is quite nice to be honest.

I don't care where we're doing it. I just want the skills plugin back. Why is EVERYONE a farmer now?

I strongly agree if I don't have to gather even more resources and if it is made clear this will be temporary and people should only make tent like structures not cities.

I worry about the spread of RP, but if all the nations moved over, so that Elysium became a non-man's land for a time I would be okay with it. However if we do have a new island, I would love to see less manors and more tents and wooden huts etc, perhaps OOC guidelines need to be created?

Keep in mind that the development of this next island, if it is made, will NOT take any time away from the finishing of 3.0

EDIT: Forgot to add the poll! Silly me :)

Stay on this island. FInish 3.0.

I didn't realize that we needed a plugin to be a certain profession on a ROLEPLAY server.

This is a topic regarding our next move in regards to a map, if you want to discuss other things, please refer elsewhere.

But it does affect the landscape, which I can only assume is part of the reason people are dissatisfied with this world and want to be given all their dreams it a neat little package and will complain that Santa didn't bring them what they wanted regardless.

I am content to roleplay my skills and limitations, but here is the secret Alan: There are players on LOTC who are shitty at roleplay.

You can't get rid of them, but you have to limit their shitty-ness.

I think we should leave Elysium and go to the new island, if we where to link up fast travels it would spread out RP.

I agree with this. In Aluson, the rp was really spread out and even in Normandor, a capital, there wasn't that much rp. I like the centralization in Elysium.
