Beware, Mali!

Simple posters hang upon the walls of the elven districts. The words are emblazened with colour, drawing you towards it out of curiosity.

BEWARE, MALI!

Beware the threat of fanatical religious valah!

Just recently, the mali'ker wizard by the name of Polgrath was viciously assaulted by two humans in turn--both possibly being identified with a hither-too unidentified religion!

In a second possibly connected case is the barbaric and likely unprovoked murder of mali'aheral Drecar Razier, whom was found dead outside the Sentinel barracks.

One of two witnessed assailants of Polgrath is a known Cleric whom goes by the name "Walahir" or "Baldwin." He was also likely one of the last people to see Drecar Razier alive. He is known to be living in the mali'ame district, and is requested to seek out Prince Lucion Sullas who is currently heading the investigation.

The second assailant remains unidentified, but is described as an armoured human with blond hair, and a prominant scar upon his face. Should such a human appear within the districts, it is advised that he is avoided, and the sentinels alerted.

REMEMBER, MALI!

The spilling of mali blood is a CRIME AGAINST NATURE ITSELF.

Especially when it is at the hands of those with so short a lifespan, they can barely appreciate the gift that it is. Report any suspicious armoured or armed humans to the sentinels! Be safe, Mali!

Azula looks at one of the posters. Shaking her head and shrugging.

"This is such old news." she speaks to herself, clearly unsurprised upon thoroughly reading the notice.

She ripped off one of the signs and places it in her pocket, walking off.

Polgrath sees the posters and nods satisfactorily.

"When that priest is found... no amount of praying to his puny gods will save him from what I hath in store..."

Elorna comes upon the poster and after reading it she throws her hands in the air in frustration, muttering aloud, "The mali'ker provoked the violence, he is the one who should be avoided!"

After a long moment of silent fuming, she withdraws an ink quill and writes onto the bottom section of the poster. When she finishes writing she storms off, not leaving a name on the paper.

"Those with open eyes know what the Cleric has done for Malinor. Those who consider only the side of the story that suits them should not throw about accusations that merely serve to spread hate and fear."

Kalenz stands behind Elorna, hearing this he speaks:

"That does not excuse the fact that the valah struck first. Polgrath is as frail as I, in no situation would he strike as you so think he would. It was the valah who acted in his nature, rash and reactionary. Furthermore one mali is worth more than the lives of a hoard of valah stretching from where we stand to the sea. It is not what he has done which is the matter, it is the trust he betrayed which the mali gave to him. Therefore it is he who is to be punished, for instigation and the senseless beating of the mali'ker."

As Elorna turns to leave she jumps suddenly when she notices Kalenz standing nearby. She crosses her arms and listens to him, appearing impatient.

"Sir, I do not recall you being there. Polgrath began with insults and derision, and encouraged a bystander to attack Walehir without reason. I was there, and the mali'ker acted shamefully. His methods of attack are far more disgusting than anything these two Valah are accused of."

Kalenz frowns and regards her with a stern gaze.

"Regardless of what precise lie may be spun as to who started the encounter, one thing is for sure. A mali'ker was almost slain by his hand. Therefore there is nothing else to be said on the matter. I know precisely what Polgrath is and what he may do, unfortunately that excuses nothing. The valah is to be punished for his nature."

After a moment of scowling, Elorna calms her expression and speaks slowly, coldly.

"Then I am glad that you are not, in fact, the one to make such a decision. What you choose to believe does not surprise me, however it does that you would be foolish enough to want to alienate such a valuable ally to Malinor."

*walking up to the two from behind Polgrath speaks

"Ayuh the preist was interfering with my work... so I asked my one-eyed friend to get him to leave...the vile old priest resorted to violence... then when I had called off my friend to cease the fighting and was conversing with Lucion... he brandished his cudgel and smote upon me with it... indeed threatening to kill me and later attempting to and near suceeding with the help of the paladin scum. In fact if I recall it was ye wench, who assaulted the conjuration of Prince Lucion, knocking him comotose! Those who live in glass walled abodes should not throw stones...

Ye say... it is not Kalenz's descison to punish him. You are corect. It is mine!, I care not what others do towards him, I know only that he will be brought to justice for his bloodlust...for good.

Frowns listening to the accusations before stepping forward

Walehir is a sensible and civil man! There must be more to the story! Let evidence come forward before such harsh accusations take hold of his reputation!

If I may be the one to speak for the man I would only offer good words. To those that are informed of my recent situations regarding the dark magic placed over me that have affecting my physical appearance I would tell them that Walehir has helped lessen the pain of whatever curse I am currently dealing with. Without his protective wards I cannot be certain I woul be alive today.

He is the only one that can help me subdue the magic that has taken hold of my body. I need him and I ask you all to keep an opened mind about the situation. If not for his sake then for mine. Without him my physical health will quickly deteriate again.

Huwel stands reading the poster his eyebrows furrowed and in concentration. He looks at the poster before turning to leave.

"Gods my arse, Ill teach them to pray that my blade dosen't reach them before the sentinels do..."

Little Lelien reads the poster with her head tilted. A frown appears on her face.

"Mister Giant is gone? No..."

She rushes back to her tower in the Mali'aheral district, tears streaming down her face.
