Hello, this is an OOC announcement regarding land claims for 3.0. With the introduction of the Second Amendment to the Articles of Urguan, outlined below, land claims within dwarven territory are becoming far stricter and thus we require all existing and future settlements to fulfill the requirements of these new laws. If this is not done before the release of 3.0, you’ll either not be granted the land or instead it’ll be taken militarily, though we’ll leave that to RP.

 

The Second Amendment to the Articles of Urguan


Article V: Internal Policies


Section G: Holds and Settlements


  • All settlements located within the immediate territory of the Kingdom of Urguan must pledge loyalty to the King and follow the laws laid out in the Articles of Urguan. The only exception to this rule is permitted guilds.
  • Leaders of Holds will be named Jarls and will manage themselves independently, unless called upon by the Kingdom to fight in war. A Jarl cannot refuse the will of the King. It is noted that only the Kingdom of Urguan will address the leader as Jarl. If he wishes another name for his people to address him as, he may do so, though the title of King is reserved only for the King of Urguan, while any others must change their title.
  • The Jarl and its peoples must abide by the treaties and pacts that have been signed by the Kingdom of Urguan. This means if a treaty of peace has been struck, the Jarl may not draw up arms against this group. A failure to do so is considered high treason and the ruler of the Hold will be deemed an Oathbreaker.
  • The Jarl is held accountable for the actions of his people and must banish any who do not abide by the Articles of Urguan.
  • A Hold may possess its own constitution, providing it is approved and signed by the King and does not conflict with any existing laws of the Kingdom. This means, they are allowed to establish their own working government, courts, laws, or any body of governing.
  • The freedom of religion is granted to all settlements within the territory of the Kingdom of Urguan.
  • There must be an unquestioning duty to aid the Kingdom in times of defence  Under no circumstances is the Jarl allowed to deny the Kingdom for aid if in threat of attack.
  • Expansion of a particular hold requires the approval of the King and Lord’s Council.
  • The Jarl may hold privy with the King and council during one of their meetings if he so desires.
  • The Jarl and its peoples may not engage itself in any plots or draw up arms towards any other Jarl that is held under this Article.

 

 

List of Possible Holds Within the Kingdom of Urguan:
 
- Skravia
- The Doomforged
- Eyrevor (Name Changing)
- Snow Elf Place (Unnamed)
 
List of Requirements Needed to Retain Your Land Claim:
 
- The title of your ruler must not be King as this goes against the Articles.
- You must agree to abide by the treaties and laws of the Articles of Urguan.
- Any constitutions require the signature of the King of Urguan.
 
When this list of requirements is fulfilled, you’ll be granted the land you desire. This also applies to any future settlements so please contact a Lord RPly if you wish to own a settlement in 3.0.

This is a proposal for the small farming settlement located within the shroom cavern.

 

Jarl: Hiebe Irongut

Location: Mushroom Caves

Purpose: Supplying the capital with farm supplies and food.

Reasons for this settlement:

1. Farms

2. Peaceful RP

3. Lore with all the new shrooms and animlas living within the cavern

 

Buildings: Farms, Lord Manor, Tavern, Warehouse, Guardhouse/tower.

Allegiance: Kingdom of Urguan

Races living: Dwarves, any others that wish to live here

 

Zez I dont know if this would be included but you might want to make a small ap like I just did. If needed I will wait till 3.0 to propose the charter.

I'm going to keep any requests for settlements in character as we don't intend to have many of them at the start of 3.0. It's entirely up to the King to approve of any future settlements.

Maybe it would be more effective to give out/sell large halls in the capital city? Holds are great, but it might be nice to centralize RP a bit or at least give some large residence for the smaller/medium sized clans.

These aren't for clans, more for non dwarves who wish to live in dwarven lands.

((But the Doomforged is a clan and is made up of dwarfs. Also how many Dommforged actively RP as that character other than darkjames?  From what I see this hold is unnecessary.))

You'll have to speak with Darkjames, though from the early ideas for the dwarf area, Tyrion intended to have a city dedicated to the Doomforge. There's not much that can be done about it now, though like all other settlements, it'll have to follow the Second Amendment.

(( Doomforged are of about 8 people, they are not true Dwarves, thus, they are considered a "Half" Clan. Please, Zezi, and everyone else, I AM NOT the leader of the Doomforge. Goldrim is. I will not make any decition, nor I should. The Hold Of the Doomforge, and the domain over the volcano and the share of a possible diamond mine below it, will remain Doomforge, no ruins, no voxel. Doomforge will remain a free-ish clan, which may vary in alliances. (Doomforged's only allies are Dwarves, period, and it may even change, depending on something IC.)

 

Doomforge's Hold will allow the following illegal activities;

 

-Slavery

-Slaying / Murder of all races, excluding Dwarves directly alledged to Urguan.

-Torture of all races, for personal or collective strive. Dwarves directly alledged to Urguan will be requested to assist a council with the Doomforge, however, the safety of the Dwarf, upon entering the Hall Of Elders, is not assured.

-Clan Banishments, these will exclude the royal clan, and all the tree-clans of the Doomforge. (Stormhammer and Ire'eart.) The only clan that will be banished upon 3.0 if events remain the same is Frostbeard, after incessant insults by it's patriarch, the appearence of said clan members upon the city shall be dealt with according to Doomforge's will.

-Unholy worship. This includes all forms of twisted Yemekar's worship to the more influxing religion on the Doomforge, Dormmar, the Lord of Runes and Doom, the creator of the Doom Forge and the Doom Anvil.

 

 

These counterpart to the following organized activities;

 

-A council, where most prisoners or people who have a request, will sit upon the Kaderra, and shall be judged and pondered over by the Doomforge sitting upon The Thrones, thrones upon pillars rounding the Kaderra. There may be a Dwarven Chancellor upon a small seat in the Throne Area.

-An organized guild within the city. The Doomforge are the only Rune Crafters remaining, and they shall share their knowledge to the fervant Dwarves who wish so. Such a guild is still in the works, and will be a stem of the Tool Wruth Dath. Dormin will oversee and be the Rune Lord upon launch, followed by Ulgrim Doomforge, who is an infant as of now, and knows little next to nothing of working the Forge.

-A strong alliance with the Kirkja Dverga. After Maellik's abduction by Dormin and broken away from Karik, Maellik has ataken Dormmar as one of his lords, and such, Dormmar is placed upon a large place in The Kirkja Dverga. This means that all Dormmar worshippers are actually invited into the city, so they can continue their worship in Dormmar's sanctum place, The Doom Forge. Such attendancies and visits shall be further organized later.

-The Articles Of Urguan, most of them will be in effect in the Hold, even if there won't be much Nobles, Guards, etcetera to check on it. Guards of the Legion shall not be stationed upon the Gates, nor the inside of the city.

 

 

 

I will also like it to be noted, that the illegal activities of the Doomforge are still much covered in mist, and shall not be metagamed.

 

 

I also want to note the following; Doomforged are not 1-2.

-Goldrim, OOC and IC Leader. (Hodir)

-DarkJames, "Heir", elder to all but Goldrim, who is his father. He is currently the leader of the Smithing Guild, The only rune-crafter, and a fervant serial killer, with unstable mentality issues, trauma, berserk emotions, no phsycological knowledge or grasp on Pain... (Dormin)

-Irene42, Daughter of Odyn. (Irila)

-Vekaro, Son of Odyn. (Ulgrim)

-AxMaynard, Son of Odyn, he is currently the youngest, from his twin, Vekaro, for a few seconds of birth. (Urric)

-WizardInABox, Son of Yorri. (Gungrim)

(Just so you know if you do not sign the new amendment your hold will be removed from your hands, forceably if needed. This was already agreed upon by the lord council as we will not have some rouge group within our lands. I never wanted you to begin with as King but we shall see what Thorik has in plan for you.

 

Also if you wish to be on your own you shoulda built your hold away from the dwarves like you did in 2.0 not right next you us)

I wouldn't have as much a problem with it if I saw Doomforged, besides you darkjames, rping. I know that you have members in your clan but I never see them, ever. I have only seen a Doomforged assembly of greater that one at Mt.Ire.  Even with eight half-dwarfs, doesn't sound like a large enough clan to have an entire hold. We had a much more substantial size of dwarfs when we had holds in Anart, Dwain, and Alras.

 

Again I think the law needs to be changed to have a specified minimum population to have a hold.

Also Zezimus... Since it seems there's some resistance against us, we could build on other lands.))
