The Smell Of Orc...

Bili Hollowmead sits on the dock of Merrywater, on a cool summer night. The stars twinkle brightly above him, as he sends a line from his fishing rod and into the water nearby. Wind blows calmly about, as the line plops into the water. Bili waits several moments, just watching the bobber slowly bounce in the water. As he watches it, the scene grows deadly silent. Bili looks out on the surface of the water, to see a boat in the distance, with what looks to be a torch on it, and a large figure.

As he scans the boat, squinting his eyes, he notices a peculiar smell in the air; the musky, strong scent of Orc. His eyes frantically open wide, and Bili immediately jumps up. This is just at the right time, too, as an arrow coated with flame whizzes past and embeds itself within the dock he was sitting at. In a gruff yell, he shouts, "ORCS! FIRE! MURDER! RUN!"

OOC: Alright, guys, we're having an event today with the Orcs! It will be starting at 4 PM EST (an hour and ten minutes from when this post was made). Please be there, Halflings!

Yak squints his eyes at the halfing island as the orcish ship approaches, sticking his hand in the bucket of bird poop that he has brought with him. Yak takes the fresh poop from the bucket, smearing a fresh layer of it on his face. He looks down to his cub Nak before speaking "Diz wyl bi ah 'ozh klomp cub."

 Lobo stands triumphantly atop the Burrow-Mound, raising his gleaming, golden shovel into the air as his hair sways around like David Hasslehoffs and his shirt rips, revealing his six-pack.

The Rex sits as the Orc gather to get a glimpse of the Halfling Island.

 

Vrogak'Gorkil stands up and looks at the island as he tells the Orcs to prepare the warship to dock.

Rupert merrily hops off the barrel boat and begins skipping down the path. He notices Bili in the distance. All he hears is "ORCS!" and takes out his shovel, screaming, 

 

"ORCS! ORCS ORCS ORCS!"

Zabgub'Gorkil Smiles in his crazy way licking the sharpened Halfling femur he found, Zabgub Then slowly  carves the letter B on his right arm happy that he will have half of his name scarred into his right arm. ZabGub then shouts at the top of his lungs "Fur Krug"! hoping he can start a loud chant that the Halflings can hear.

Shar'ku whirls his tongue, looking at the island as he stands tall, he takes a quick look in his bag, he grunts as he realizes that he's run out of food.

 

His bloodlust starts growing, after that shar'ku yells angrily as he punches a small table next to him

 

"Wi gunna flat ull uf duze shurtiez, lat gruk wub happenz when shar'ku am skahun hungry agh he peepz a halflin'? Hi mykz a skahun feazt oud uf dem!"

The town of Merrywater stands in flames. Burrows are pillaged, windows broken, and the tavern is a mess of black char. The farms are roaring in flames, and in the midst of it all, bodies of Dwarves, Humans, and the occasional Halfling lay. An Orcish flag of victory is raised up in the center of the ruined town. This marks The Battle of Merrywater, a kindling of hope and victory for Orcs, and an event of terror and loss for the others involved.

Zabgub laughs, and spits on a Dwarf as he leaves onto the Orcish boat.

Theodoric watches Bili get dragged away by Orcs from atop the tree his was standing on. The tree starts to shake violently as an Orc below hacks at it. In a fit of rage, Theodoric the Hobbit jumps off the tree and dives towards the Orc. Theodoric felt his blade shake as it slices into the Orcs leg. As the orc turns his leg fails and falls onto Theodoric, Theo's blade sliding into his Gut. Theo was now trapped under the orc. With the help of his fellow hobbits and a elf, Theo made it into safety, and is now being tended to his wounds.

Caln McHarnish limps off with his brother Adelius and his cousin Durran. Together they had held off 4 orcs but were soon overwhelmed. Through the thick of the fighting Caln turned to see Durran about to be killed by an orc. Calling for his brother, he charged over to save his cousin. A miniature battle broke out and the 3 of them could not hold off the vast numbers. In the nick of time Oren sailed through and saved them. As the battle raged on around them, Caln grabbed Durran and Adelius and made their way to the boat, the burning smell of flesh behind them.
