Personality: Very intelligent, and full of ideas. His curiosity and learning is what led the Elves to giving him his surname "Maehr" which means wisdom. He's polite when need be, but does not often talk with strangers. He's a man of few words, so to say.
Inventory: A large Bastard sword in a sheath at his back. A thin Dirk strapped to his belt. A small leather bag containing food and various books.

Pet(s): A small Raven named Raglan that Calin helped while traveling. He now carries Calin's messages.

History
 Calin was found on a raft wrapped in blankets, streaming down a river towards a Malinor farm. He was found at the age of 4 months old, and to this day no one knows who his true parents were. He was raised by the Elves at this farm, helping tend the crops and feed the animals. The farmers raised him with love and care, as these Elves were not ever likely to have a child themselves. Because Calin is a Human, he never really fit in with the other Elven children in Malinor, so he chose to use his free time to train his sword arm. It wasn't long before Calin discovered books: an incredible way to enter a new world, one full of knowledge. He loved both the tales and lore. He was often found reading stacks and stacks of books, filling his small mind up with the wonders of far off lands and magical beasts. His premature love for books led him to be called Calin "Maehr". He read so much, that eventually the vast knowledge of the Elves became boring. Calin wished to journey to these lands he read about, to see these magical beasts, and to learn more and more about the world. But, most of all, he wished to see his own people: The Humans. When Calin was eighteen, he simply packed up his things and left, to see wherever fate would take him.

 

Eventually he found himself at the human city of Salvus, with his bag of books, his bastard sword, and Raglan, his little Raven. Calin Maehr wishes to see the world, to travel to far off lands, to unravel mysteries, and to discover whatever knowledge he can.
