The Second Ultimatum.

Kahlan walked through the Gate of Malinor towards the commotion after reading a post upon a tree, and spies the source of the commotion. She smiled at a human passerby walking away from the city, then slowly frowned to herself as she passed him wondering what a human would be doing in Malinor. She quickly pushed it away as she realized that people were shouting at one another. She hung back, listening with growing anxiety at the mood of the crowd.

This is getting out of our hands..

She wrung her slight hands as she watched.

*Reaches Ebs and stands before him. In a slow, practiced motion, she attempts to begin cleaning the blood off her hands on Ebs's Coat*

"Oh, thousand pardons, though, llir, I just returned from another surgery. You know how it is with doctoring, the blood of innocent patients will get on you no matter what you do."

*Nienna smiles,*

"Don't look at me so shocked, this is good practice for you. After all, your little coup will absolutely drench you in innocent, elven blood, as the killing and beheading begin, and the trees trickle droplets of red from the canopy. All things considered, you might as well get a head start on looking the part of a monster, non?"

Ebs just because you did not see me around does not mean I was not there. Now you say you did everything short of violence.  Apparently not since you failed to stop Orym, as you don't need violence to stop people from doing something. Now I care less if you trust me or not, since I never trusted you even back in Aegis. But in what I just said, I have done more for Malinor than you have. Stop acting like a scorn child who had his toys taken away and be the elf you claim to be. Squabbling in the streets ever since you lost your position does not help your claims.

Rhazev I am just going by you being apart of the three people who tried to rob Blundermore in Cloud Temple. Two of which were Flay, and you guys were again the only aggressors there. But you say I am popular, I cannot dispute that. But the fact you know of my popularity you would know I don't care who someone is or position they hold, I will not bend to there whim or will. And you should know I do not allow myself to be used. I do what I feel is right, and is necessary, always have and always will.

Now you say you offer a peaceful approach backed by a violent one. What makes you think that if you were to get your way and call everything off that these "armies" would just back down and not march still? If you really had the best intentions of Malinor you would have requested a meeting with the High Council and talked about it to them instead of amassing an army and sending a letter. A meeting in person is by far more effective than a piece of paper and writing.

*Arzota watches from squarely within the crowd, hands crossed behind his back and with Nienna fully in his sight.*
"What are you doing llir..." he murmers to himself, beginning to make his way forward  stopping two lines of Mali before the front, hood drawn and not a single strand of purple hair showing.

A cloaked figure leans against the roots of a large tree, observing the ordeal from the shadows. The figure shakes its head, turning and mumbling...

"It all went so wrong so fast..."

"Nienna, I beg you to stop this foolishness. I have not threatened violence on anyone, and I am part of no current coup. We were once friends, I do not know what I have done that would make you believe that I am capable of overthrowing Malinor at this instant. You have bigger fish to fry than me. Urasept, you say I have been squabbling? I have been exercising my right to speak freely and criticize the government, using facts and logic, unlike many others. Of those who dissent agianst you, I am one of the calmer ones. I can no longer stomach the current condition of Malinor, the filth that walks the streets and struts about in self-importance makes my stomach turn. I wash my hands of Malinor, for it has brought nothing but grief to me and false pride to others. You may tear the country apart as you will Urasept, for I predict a violent future with you on the throne."

Kyral looks at Nienna as she returns to the group, then to Arzota as she sighs, looking at Nienna with both eyes open wide.

"Seems like the Doctor has been busy, perhaps too busy to take a look at my burn wounds?"

Kyral chuckles through her mask, sighing.

"No seriously, I need a doctor to look at the cooked beef half of my face."

*Arzota seizes up a bit as he sees Kyral's face, momentarily loosing his composure before refocusing on the situation*
"After we are done debating, I'll take a look" he says with an affirmative nod before turning back to the conflict

*Comes back dressed in his newly polished and repaired war clothes. His scabbards make slight noises as he walks over to listen to the remaining elves speak*

Elindor prepares a notice to place on the university billboard. It reads:

Required: Teachers for How to conduct ones'self as a prince

He makes no attempt to keep the sign secretive and waves it towards Urasept before walking towards the University to pin it up and return later.

*Nienna finishes cleaning herself off, barely noticing Ebs's long winded diatribe.*

"Silly goose. If you stand by them, you will either fall with them, or fall in line alongside them."

*Speaks up for the first time

"I myself do not support some of the council's decitions. Malinor of old is gone, and the Malinor now is falling. The question is, what replaces it? Shall it come on the wings of peace or the fire of war? If you win the battle what example will you set? Every time the people under you are unhappy are they too to take up arms as the ones before them? What you do will not effect just you or Malinor, it effects all elves. I ask you, I beg you, to give the council till the start of next elven week to change their ways. I offer myself as calateral if things do not change, you've my word on it"
