3.0 Adunian Thread

Unsure of his memories, Caln sneeks into the Hall and peers in through a side window. The sight he sees sparks flames enough to start a war, a war that would cripple Adunia and make the victors stronger. Eoghan was talking to many of his clansmen but sitting by the corner, teary eyed and scared, was his daughter. Caln drops from the window in shock and lands on his back knocking the air out of him. Up in the sky, it seems like a display as his floating memories begin to connect to each other in a line.

((Caln remembers the events leading up to the punch due to the fact it took an IG day and 40 minutes to finally kill him by feeding him to a frost witch. Nice one xD. I have talked to Eoghan aka SortedJarhead and Scotty O'Keefe aka Hex37 who were both there and both agree. Just making that a clarifiction so no OOC fighting can be made as Han said earlier it is very frustrating. Thanks))

((I want to point out first about your accusations that I answered all these questions on Skype and do not understand why we have to make a bigger problem of it over the forums. Here are the answers to your questions.

1. There are in fact a number of openings in the clan hall which I have explored. Maybe you are talking about the front area which is true, but that is not the area I was talking about. I apologize if that was left unclear, and I take responsibility for that accusation.

2. Emma was with the Campbell's for just over an IRL day. Considering she emoted crying twice probably means in the time she was there it happened a good amount of time considering it would be about 30 IRL minutes so an hour IRL for her to be back to normal.

3. Infact, I do have a VA as ringleader for 1a and 4a. The man who took her also had a VA for kidnapping, killing and a few others. Also, it is COMPLETELY false saying it was 10 vs. 1. We had 7 guys and you had Eoin, Monkeygame, you, 3 mages, and later on another Campbell and Nienna showed up. Read the earlier post saying we knew she was there. For the violent intentions we came there prepared for anything to happen. This is no way wrong because we were at the brink of war. The only time any physical action was used was the misinterpretation when you grabbed Emma and a claymore with the other hand and refused to give her back. We thought this was a hostage situation and shot an arrow but was voided when you said it was not.

I am disappointed this had to turn into an OOC fight which could have been settled if we talked about it beforehand. Also, I apologize for my horrible English. This was done over my phone.

Edit: You also came part way through the event and left halfway for a large amount of time. Part of the reason Caln was worked up was Hamish was there also and had an argument with him, but I can not blame you for that because you were not there for half the event.))

At the very beggining of the event it was only me and Eoin. TheMonkeyGame and Hex showed up at the end. Thos mages were not with me, I assumed they aere with you. This event is mostly a big misundertanding from both sides, and I propose we drop it right here.))

A Dragon Guard Footman in full uniform dismounts his steed as he reaches the staircase down to the Adunian Rangers' land. Once he has both feet on the ground, the Footman unclips the buckle on his saddlebag, ruffles through it for several moments and then produces a small scroll. He holds the scroll in a gauntlet-covered hand as he heads down the staircase to the camp below. Once he begins to nears the bottom of the long, winding staircase, the Footman calls out

 

"I have a scroll for Lord Thorenir Elendil the Second!"

 

Dear Thorenir,

 

It has been long since we last exchanged words, godfather, and hence I am saddened by the situation in which I must send them. Several days past I was wandering about Oren when I came across the land of your Rangers. The man who appeared to be their leader claimed that some sort of Adunian civil war had broken out and that Campbell, McMillan, O'Keefe, Armas and Douglas were all rebelling against the rule of Elendil. Later on, I set out to Vaerhaven along with my squire with intentions of gathering information on these clans, not wanting to let your people's relations with Oren worsen again through yet another rebellion. Upon arriving, my squire and I met a small, elven lad who bore the bear of Elendil upon his tabbard. He agreed to help in the search of the Campbell hall, which at the time was unguarded, and showed my squire and I a secret compartment in the room of someone who's name I think was Allan (Judging from the sign on the door and assuming my memory does not fail me). The compartment was a shabby looking room hidden behind a painting and seemed to be empty at the time. I first assumed that it was some sort of smuggling compartment but the elf claimed that it was possibly a prison. Upon trying to leave the hall, the elf, my squire and myself were attacked by a variation of men wearing skirts and people of other races from Vaerhaven. We did our best to fight them off, but their numbers were too great and the elf bearing the bear of Elendil was slain. My squire and I were forced to flee the city, the Adunian rebels and their Vaerhaven allies in pursuit. We were eventually able to outrun the foes as we had steeds and they were on foot, but still we had failed to save your man or recover his body. I was saddened by these events and thought it only right to inform you of the finding of this compartment and the death of your soldier. I hope when we next exchange words it may be under better circumstances.

IE he was born to a family who was, but either A left at some point, B taken by force out of the culture, or C abandoned at infancy?

((I've been playing an Adunian who's been very distant from the Scottish side of the culture(If that's what you're reffering to) for a bit now, so I'll assume it's alright as long as the reasons suffice.))

((It should be alright. The McHarnishs could possibly take you. Just need to know where you would go and that you represent the clan correctly. Pretty much being an Adunian.))

((Well hang on, I disagree with this. People would use being Adunian as an excuse to live longer, and I won't allow that. Too many people stray away from the traditional Adunian ways as it is. If you want to be an Adunian, agree to follow the lore.))

 

Edit:I started the Adunian subrace two years ago, and I'd like to see it not stray away from the path it was meant to follow.))
