Hero’s Name: Thordon

Background Of Hero (Chronologically and must be at least 1 paragraph long, but no longer than 4 paragraphs):

When I was first born into the world of Aegis,I was the youngest of a family of four, my dad was in the army and my mom was a architect. My father taught me how to wield a sword at the age of ten, and sometimes my mom would take me to her projects to see how to build. But when I was just 26 while my mom was on the road, I started to have nightmares about what happened to her, It didn't stop for along time. I became a guard at Kal'urguan.

I got the chance of a lifetime. A new town for the dwarfs, named Kal'teran. A better future was ahead of him. The building wen't on for months, With a feast hall. Houses a farm everything needed for a good town, but then a leak, and a flood. Most of his things where destroyed. Including his hope and the hope of the baron Algor. He was a great friend, but when his town was destroyed he was consumed with anger, and started to be a slave for the undead, but Thordon was strong, he sought a new carrier.

He became a captain of the army for his experience, but he found a cathedral being build in Kal'urguan. To the Creator, he seeking hope joined as a priest for his new devotion to the Creator.

But, as things where going well at the cathedral. The king and the council was watching the priests closely. They thought that the priests became too powerful, and soon they destroyed some of the cathedral. And plans have been heard of the disbanding of the church. The archbishop was angry, he was consumed by it. He even wanted to be a slave... Like Algor, thankfully he was able to convince him to not serve Iblees. The archbishop planned to leave, and to take his trusted priest with him. Although I agreed that the king was greedy, he didn't want to leave what he had worked for. He now seeks the Creator for guidance, while he was walking the wilds. He was approached by a man that handed him a glowing scroll. He opened it slowly...

Good Deeds (List Several of your good deeds and how they prove you are worthy of becoming ascended):

I have helped the dwarves since the beginning, starting with the mining hall. I helped clear it and build the pillars After that I helped build Kal'teran, and protected it. And now I am in kal'urguan, giving much money to the poor, and building the cathedral. And worshiping the Creator,

I have given minas to many who needed it, I have also tried to help most that I meet., I have also saved the archbishop from a life of a slave of Iblees.

Character Flaws: I am good at fighting, and writing, but he has always been stuck in many situations, and he can be very deep in thought when confronted by them.

Hero’s Specialty (is your hero a warrior, builder, trader; at least 1 paragraph long):He is a warrior, being taught by his father long ago how to wield a sword, but his new found faith has made him very devote to teaching others the light of the creator.

Rationale (what is your characters mindset, why does he go out of his way to help others):

I go out of the way to help others because I feel the Creator will reward me with his guidance, as his life is a very turbulent one at this time, and he needs his light to guide him.

How do you determine right from wrong (At least 1 paragraph):

I determine right from wrong by observing a situation, like a robbing. If the man robbing has been cheated of his money by a greedy man, I would still think it was wrong but I would try to convince him to face this man, since he is the cause fer his suffering. If it is a man simply wishing to become richer I wouldn't feel sorry fer em. Murdering I feel is a crime that doesn't deserve sympathy, since only those who are undead cannot be cured of evil in me eyes.

Reaction to the following situations (At least 1 Paragraph):

1. Cephalus defines ‘justice’ as speaking the truth and paying one's debts. Socrates quickly refutes this account by suggesting that it would be wrong to repay certain debts—for example, to return a borrowed weapon to a friend who is not in his right mind.

I would agree with Cephalus, because all dept's should be payed, even to those who are evil. I think this because if evil people aren't shown justice then they wont have a chance to see the error in there ways. Though Socrates is somewhat right, as in if you returned a weapon to a evil person knowing that he will not do anything to change his mind about his actions.

2. 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

I think its nobler to oppose a sea of toubles and end them, than suffer many misfortune's, since in my mind I think its more noble to end troubles, than brace to defend against em. I feel this way because if ye end em, then you can teach others to face these troubles, and so they will be prepared to oppose them also. It also helps to the community if ye take these troubles and defeat em, because then ye can be a better part of the community.

I was a BodyGuard/Guide for Ambassador Rouke and Recived a small amount of minas. THis shows that i enjoy helping people.

Character Flaws: Can Be Greedy at times.

Hero’s Specialty (is your hero a warrior, builder, trader; at least 1 paragraph long):He is a ok warrior. But he was born to trade. He ran a blacksmith and knows tradeing well.

Rationale (what is your characters mindset, why does he go out of his way to help others): I thnk about it like this. If i am in that same

situation would i want him to help me.

How do you determine right from wrong (At least 1 paragraph): I think that there is no true right or wrong. it depends on the person that is seeing the situation to decide if its right or wrong. how i decide is I 2 things 1. common law of kingdoms 2. what would I do if i was on both sides of the situation

I think a weapon shouldnt be returned to a insane man or a criminal. what if they kill people with that sword. i would hold it for them till they are in a stable mind set.

2. 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

Its depends on the situation. If some poor kids are always throwing apples at you would you kill them? no you would assist them. If a town is always attacked by bandits would you let the bandits hurt this poor town. No. The noble thing is to stop the bandits. It dosnt have to be by force it can be ended peacefuly

((sorry about the last minute change just tought i should add that))

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hero’s Name:

Latsi

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Background Of Hero:

Latsi was a good soul, and he helped the people of Aegis for a great time. He let people into his home, shared with them, and brought joy to everyone he met. Many people of Aegis loved him. He always felt his life would be this way.. except he began to have many thoughts about things, he, nor anyone else, should ever think about. Those things were things such as greater power for himself. He searched throughout Aegis.. looking for this power. He found ruins, and he managed to sneak into the undead city.. looking for power there. The fiery land, and pull of Iblees there corrupted him.

He continued his life, acting as if nothing had happened, except for the fact that he had information. He told many of what he learned.. which continued to corrupt him. He eventually got the point where he searched to join the undead. He joined their ranks as a minion, and was a cold-hearted, reckless, evil person. He killed many, just for the fun of it, in Iblees name. He lived like this for a while, with no friends except for the other minions.

During a battle of snowy fields, Latsi was confronted by Bell. She was calm, and she told Latsi to follow her away. He followed Bell, to a Hill, close to snowy fields. A large group of the snowy fields army surrounded Latsi, and Bell began to tell him of other things that could give him power.. and also that power wasn't even one of the most important things in life. He bashed her for trying to help him, and Bell said to kill him. The undead saved him and revived him, and told him of what Bell had tried to do to him. Latsi thought about it longer, without the tension of battle to think of. He left the keep, never to return. He wandered around Aegis, until he once found Bell again outside of Whisper Isles. He was calm, and told her that he wanted to change. His reasoning was because Bell was the first person to try to help him, and it struck him that one thing he really wanted, was friends. Bell began to re-teach him what being good really meant. He was taught by her for a while, and then she bid Latsi farewell for now, as she had to do something private in snowy fields. Through a pigeon from Haven, he managed to contact an ascended named Martin Benedict. Martin told him that he should come to Haven, as the sages could help him. He headed towards Haven where he found Okonkwo, who cleansed his soul after a few, -painful- rituals.

He followed Bell from there on out, as her student, in kindness. He has started to become pure. He learned much, his sense of judgement became stronger, as did his personal will. He learned of how to help people away from Iblees, and learned to resist the grasp Iblees once had on him. Now he feels, with ascension, he could finely regain all the trust he lost when he changed, and he could return to be a good, and wonderful person as he was before.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Good Deeds:

Latsi was always a good soul, and he has done much for others. Some of the things that he is the most proud of are:

- Helping people see the weakness in Iblees;

This makes Latsi worthy of being ascended because it keeps the armies of the Undead from growing, and adds to those who help against them.

- Showing others the light;

This makes Latsi worthy of being ascended as he has been trying to help the undead minions who were his friends, back into the world of Aegis, away from the undead. This weakens the undead armies once again.

- Helping those who are being mugged;

This makes Latsi worthy of being ascended as their are many bandits around, and people can lose things they worked hard for. He doesn't feel this is right, so he helps those he are being stolen from.

- Making people happier

This makes Latsi worthy of being ascended because making someone feel better is the best way to steer them to your side. If you help someone, and it makes them happy, they might follow you, and if you are a good and pure, it could help send them down the same road.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Character Flaws:

Latsi has a few flaws.. such as having to make things perfect, as he is very organised and understands what a good building is. He is also recovering from the taint of Iblees through Sage Okonkwo's rituals and Bell's teachings.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hero’s Specialty:

Latsi is a master warrior. He has learned how to fight the undead, after living with them for so long, and he knows how to use a sword and a bow well. He is very good at fighting with groups though, and loves to be on the front lines.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Rationale:

Latsi goes out of the way for a few reasons. The first, is to win back his forgiveness after harming so many as an Iblees follower. He wishes to help everyone, so that they see he really has changed and can once again be trusted. He also wants to live up to Bell's standard of trust. He envy's her trust, after being the one to help him away from Iblees, he wants to be one of her true friends. The last reason he helps people is because he doesn't want anyone else to see darkness and have to go through the pain he did.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

How do you determine right from wrong:

Latsi can tell right from wrong through a few ways. The first being, the fact that he has done all the wrong you can in Aegis.. from climbing on roofs, to kidnapping the former Queen of Oren. He also has a very good judgement, and knows what is right through his wisdom.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Cephalus defines ‘justice’ as speaking the truth and paying one's debts. Socrates quickly refutes this account by suggesting that it would be wrong to repay certain debts—for example, to return a borrowed weapon to a friend who is not in his right mind.

I believe that that two needed a point to meet in the middle. Speaking the truth and paying ones debts is something that should always be done, only by someone with the correct sense of judgement though. If you have a good friend, who you have known all your life, but he is going down a bad road, and killing people, you do not help him kill that person, but giving them what they need. You can help them though, and pay your debts to them with words, and try to stray them off of the road they are trying to chose.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

2. 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

Again, I believe, with most things, that there has to be a meeting point between two situations. If you are to take arrows in the chest as a misfortune, you are a fool. If you are to rush in and oppose a sea of troubles, you are also a fool. You need to think things out, as you could talk with the person shooting arrows, ask them to stop in return for something. If you are to rush straight in and attack, you are the one firing arrows, and they are the one who might need to offer something in return. It is a large circle, but in the end, in either situation, everyone involved should have more than one option.

Hero’s Name:

Kootry_The_Hope_Bringer

Background Of Hero:

Kootry was born under the command of the 1st dwarf army. His mother passed away at birth and he was raised by his strict father. After 14 years in the military with his dad, Kootry wanted to escapes it all. He thought of becoming a farmer, or living alone in a acreage.

One day Kootry was walking through the woods. Out of the side of his eye, Kootry saw a hafling running down a hill for his life. Kootry was confused but also curious. At the top of the hill he saw three flesh rotting undead. It looked as if they scared off the poor hafling. To Kootry it seemed that he needed to follow the undead, So that he did. As he climbed to the top of the steep mountain he peeked over to see where the undead have gone. When he looked over to the other side of the hill he could see the whole hafling town burned to the ground. As he looked over to his left he could see thousand undead ready for battle. On his right he saw over a thousand dwarfs being led by his father. He was amazed at how fast the war ended. The undead had fallen yet again to Aegis. Kootry was happy and ran back to the army base to see his father. He got back to an unfortunate sight. His dad was laying in his death bed. Kootry was dead silent, he didn’t know what to say. His father gave him a diamond sword, engraved on the sword was “Learn from yesterday, Live for today, Hope for tomorrow’. From that day forward, Kootry knew his destiny.

At the age 21 Kootry decided that it was time to re-ally Aegis. First he went to the orcs. That is where he met his soon to be good friend and mentor Martin. The party then traveled to the elf’s and then the dwarfs. Last but not least they travelled to the humans. At that point they allied all of Aegis and created the United Aegis Collation (UAC for short ;) ). The UAC travelled to Haven to seek the light of the Ascended. That is where the UAC met their care taker Riizu. Riizu called his powers and built the UAC their first camp. Thanks to Riizu the UAC had their first camp built.

A year has passed, Martin died looking for Sage Arcadius and Wango betrayed the UAC for the undead. Kootry left the UAC due to recent events, one of the newest camp’s being destroyed and many UAC members betraying each other. Later that same day Kootry resigned he was walking through Al’Khazar and a hooded figure appeared in front of him. The figure gave him a glowing scroll. As Kootry held the scroll in his hand he felt a rush of magic flow through his blood. He unrolled the scroll to see that he was accepted into the Ascended trails. Will he be accepted? Time will tell.

Good Deeds:

-In the UAC Kootry killed many undead and confronted their leader telling him that Iblees is just a figment of his imagination.

-Kootry would show the light to Iblees followers and try to make them turn good instead of evil.

-If someone were to be getting robbed or if two where having an argument, Kootry would step in and resolve the situation.

-When King Belin was about to be overthrown, Kootry was at his aid.

Character Flaws:

Kootry can be disorganized at times.

Hero’s Specialty:

Kootry was born a fighter, He will always be fighter.

Rationale:

Kootry goes out of his way because he was raised that way. To him it also shows that you have respect and that you care for others.

How do you determine right from wrong:

Kootry determines right from wrong the same way he determines good from evil. If the conclusion would result in evil, Kootry would pick the opposite. Kootry also likes to be fare, if two people where to be having a argument he would like both sides talk or he would try to end it peacefully. He would convince both of the people that the argument is worthless and that they wasting their time.

Reaction to the following situations:

1. Cephalus defines ‘justice’ as speaking the truth and paying one's debts. Socrates quickly refutes this account by suggesting that it would be wrong to repay certain debts—for example, to return a borrowed weapon to a friend who is not in his right mind.

Cephalus is as right as Socrates is. I believe that you should think about you actions before you perform them. If your friend was in the mind of suicide you would not give his weapon back because you knew that he was in the wrong state of mind. That is like giving a public enemy the ability to rule a nation. You would know that it is wrong and you wouldn’t do it.

2. 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

Taking the sea of troubles is clearly nobler. That is like asking, kill a nation or sacrifice yourself? In a situation like this you should also think about the outcome. Would you like thousands to suffer or just take it in and upon yourself? Also a righteous man gets what he deserves.

Guest Brian

Hero Application:

Minecraft User Name: bhorner

Hero’s Name: Brian

Background Of Hero (Chronologically and must be at least 1 paragraph long, but no longer than 4 paragraphs):

Brian's life started on the plains near where the modern Dunwood is. He lived with his mother and father in their quaint home. He was raised by his mother learned the was of the harvest, the plants and animals, and the way to care. Care was taught the travelers that came and went, looking for food, shelter, medical care, or even just company. He learned to be a kind halfling, only getting mad at those that brought war with them, greed, and lust for power.

Brian's second stage of his life came with the creation of Dunwood. Not days away from his home lay a new halfling village, the first to be exact. This wasn't a village like the ones of the humans dwarfs, elfs or orcs. This was a close knit community, valuing hard work and care for all. This was what his family wanted, moving their when Brian was only 15. Barin helped his dad build their burrow and many others and they lived there throughout most of the rest of his parent's lives. They died only two days apart from each other when he was just 19. They had gave birth to him old so it was a nature death. Some say his father died of a broken heart when his mother died, others disagree. He mourned for three days and three nights as a halfling tradition, then took the house for his own.

His third chapter of his life began as the outdoors men and a farmer for Dunwood. He started to gather wood for the village, fish for the village, slaughter pigs for the village ( to his distaste, ) and gathered the crops. But this wasn't enough he need adventure. Then he took up a new identity during the nights, helping all that could be helped. But still this wasn't what he was looking for so he went on King's road hoping to help someone. Just then an old friend Hiebe popped out looking for help with his new manor. Of course Brian said yes looking forward to building again. By the time the manor was almost finished Hiebe asked a favor of Brian. If he would take on two jobs and help Hiebe as the farmer with a burrow Hiebe had built just for him. This was the best gift anyone gave to him and he gladly accepted.

The continuing part of Brian's life started with the meeting of Sage Tsu ( Sue, ) which gave him a new goal in life. To be the first hafling with blood recognized as from the Aeguls. He would continue his deeds as an ascended if spoken to and help everyone if called. He was later spoken to which came as a startle as it seemed this voice was from the Aeguls themselves. A voice so gifted in the word of the Creator that Brian wondered if he was dreaming. With a sudden poke by his friend Ironheart he knew this must be true and spoke back asking for directions. The voice said to prove yourself worthy on this parchment and let it drop to the floor. This is where his story doesn't end it begins again...

Good Deeds (List Several of your good deeds and how they prove you are worthy of becoming ascended):

Brian's deeds are not grand but they are frequent. He helps everyone who asks from greeting a person who is lonely, to giving directions, to helping build thing, and to just helping in anything they need. He also helps friends by supporting them when they stray, helping them with minas, supplies and basic goods, and being their when ever they need it. When ever anyone calls for help, he comes to their need.

Character Flaws:

Brian has flaws 'as everyone else does, but he has tried to refine them and make them less evident. He is a perfectionist at heart spending months decorating his two burrows when he could have been on some other project. He tends to have a fuse but this fuse has seemed to lengthen with his new occupation in Dunwood, using peaceful Dunwood area lands as his drug to keep calm. These are his flaws which he knows of well.

Hero’s Specialty (is your hero a warrior, builder, trader; at least 1 paragraph long):

Brian is a skilled builder helping build many structures in his days! He has built his burrow in Dunwood, helped others built theirs in Dunwood and he has helped build up Hiebes Ironguts Manor and Inn. It seemed in another life he also lead the building of Outer Kal' Urguan...but this was just a dream. He loves to farm and cut lumber down so this is what he is most dire to do.

Rationale (what is your characters mindset, why does he go out of his way to help others):

Brian's grew up helping others, he is a halfling and in the way of the halflings he helps his blood brothers. But he learned to help all through his mother. His mother was not one to turn down anyone, she was a carer for all. She taught him everything he knows as his father was away supplying the villages wood and lumber. She is his inspiration in this world we call Aegis.

How do you determine right from wrong (At least 1 paragraph):

Brian determines right from wrong due to his instinct, that he gained from his mothers care, and thee opinions of his friends that he hold dear. Though his instinct he always seems to get a feeling when something wrong but can sometimes not pin point the true evil in this thing, action or feeling that he notices is wrong. With his friends help he is able to pin point the wrong that he missed, and help himself and others achieve a greater self.

It tis right to speak truths but all debts can not be paid.Debts that could cause harm to others or make a situation worse should not be paid until the situation or the harm can be avoided. It is better to now return a weapon to to a friend who is not in 'is right mind. Ye want to snuff out the friends evil and not to fuel it with more weapons to use as evil tools. Once thee friend has lost all 'is tools for evil he will lose his passion for evil and his taint. He will then come back to thee light. This is when you should return thee debt, but be wary of trickery through thee taint. After all the bad circumstances and evil that could happen because of thee debt has gone away ye could return thee debt.

2. 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

When thee slings and swords are wielded by men tainted to much to be saved, swords and opposing force must be used. But not when the minds and souls of thee tainted are intact and their bodies as well then a diplomatic solution can be achieved. There would be no need for force as thee villains, bandits, and thieves could be reasoned with, they could be helped, and they could come to thee light.

PS: Sorry I wrote in RP for some and others in ooc when it felt fit.

Hero Application:

Minecraft User Name: Transphat

Hero’s Name: Thimble

Background Of Hero : Thimble was a young elf, raised by his elven foster parents. He Doesn't know what happened to his real parents, but he doesn't care much, for his foster parents are nice, wealthy and strong. At an extremely young age of 15, Thimble took up archery lessons to better prepare for attacks. Fortunately, Thimble had a peaceful childhood, and never had to use said skills, but little did he know that they would come in handy for his life ahead.

At the age of 25 Thimble moved to Laurelin Into his own, first, real home of Aegis. He lived there for some time, living among trees and elves of his kind. One day, at the age of 75, He went on a mining expedition to Kal'Urguan. Minding his own business he took to the road and swung his pick back and forth, whistling a tune as he went. As he was entering Kal'Urguan he saw a towering bridge peering over the walls of the dwarven capitol. He thought little of it, and continued his business. As he was mining he wondered about the bridge, even thought of crossing it! He was not an elf of adventure though, and went back to his house.

A year later still, at his current age of 76, He went yet again to Kal'urguan for his weekly mining expedition. He looked again at the bridge, and saw figures moving about it, they appeared to be up to no good. Thimble stealthily slid up the bridge to look for the people. Not a single elf, orc, dwarf, of human could be seen though! He was curious now, very curious. He decided it was a message from Aeriel, a sign to be more adventurous!

Thimble took to the road like a dwarf to gold. He followed it intently, imagining what could be at the other side. After much walking and doubting if it ever ended, He came upon the walls to a magnificent city, unopened to the public. He looked around and saw a smaller, more quaint camp, embracing the feeling of adventure, Thimble went to the gates.

The people inside were kind and fun, but they had an issue. Their best friend and leaders, the ascended, did not feel their design of a tower, was sufficient, they asked Thimble if he had an idea. Thimble, having an eye for architecture gave his best idea, and even took to building upon their tower. The UAC leader, Martin Benedict , allowed Thimble to join. His life is now full of adventure, courage, and friendship.

Good Deeds : I aided a coalition I had not yet heard of, I have given food to strangers many a time, I once helped a young lad who had fallen in a hole who had no means of escape, and have settled disputes of strangers.

Character Flaws: Thimble sometimes over-thinks situations where lightning speed and reaction are needed. He has a habit of using less common materials in his buildings.

Hero’s Specialty : Thimble is a builder, he is sufficient in many themes and designs. In his spare time, he often takes to building, and refining older designs. He loves gazing at great buildings for any amount of time, examining what makes them so magnificent.

Rationale (what is your characters mindset, why does he go out of his way to help others): Thimble has strong emotions that allow him to put himself into others shoes. He is also patient and tries to be level headed at all times. He does not like war, or skirmishes, but will go to war when he feels necessary, or ordered to.

How do you determine right from wrong: I determine right from wrong by carefully taking in details and imagining myself in both sides shoes. I try to be unbiased, fair, and true to my word. in example, if a man harasses a group for days on end, and gets killed by the group for his words, I would take side of the group because you can not yell insults and expect nothing to happen.

In my opinion, both are correct to a certain degree, truth and paying debts is the only way a society can work, an economy of trust and fairness would be a good place indeed. Through sharing weapons to a person who has lost his way, is not wise and should be avoided, perhaps, repaying him in other items, or services would be best.

2. 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

One must take the bull by the horns, if the bull will not leave in peace. I say, taking on the army of troubles and ending them would be worth it, for a peaceful life and the ones around you. I believe suffering from an enemy you can not touch, and trying to live through the arrows is a sad existence indeed.

Hero Application:

Minecraft User Name: Rathriel

Hero’s Name: Lafthi

Background Of Hero (Chronologically and must be at least 1 paragraph long, but no longer than 4 paragraphs):

Lafthi was born to Ria and Thuel of Laurelin. They were both scholars by trade and worked in the Grand Library of Laurelin in Mother Tree. As a result Lafthi often was taken with to the Library and could be seen either playing with the Druid Order's dogs by the fire or mimicing his parents and "studying" an ancient tome. From an early age his mother taught him to read and write, as well as tend of field of wheat to the rarest of plants in Laurelin. As a result Lafthi learned the ways of the scholar and the farmer, and thus defined his early life.

Despite Elves long life span, they follow the humans traditions of coming into adulthood at the age of 18. Lafthi was no different and as a result shortly after his eighteenth birthday moved out of his family home into a home of that of a small darkwood tree on the edge of town. While he was able to gain employment at the Library, he always thirsted for something different. Never the less, he kept his position for over 300 years expanding his knowledge on Aegis. From the mining Dwarves to the West, to the war mongering Orcs to the East, to the vasatile Humans to the North, Lafthi learned about all of them. Until one day when reading about the great cities of Alkhazar and Kal'Urguan were not enough. He wanted to see them for himself.

At that time there was almost no communication between the Mortal Races of Aegis. The humans had pioneered the idea of Diplomats but no race had followed their idea. The first human Diplomat, simply stopped by each Nation once a month or two to see how each race was progressing. Never trying to forge alliances or trade agreements, Lafthi realized what a waste the position was currently, and how much more could be attained from it. It was at this point Lafthi approached the High Prince Native about founding the Malinor Diplomatic Corps. With the High Prince's Blessing The Malinor Diplomatic Corps. was born and soon filled with a Diplomat to every nation, and with Lafthi as it's leader and founder. In those early days the Elven Diplomats were busy setting up trade agreements with nations and working on the foundation that would become the cooperation of all of Aegis.

Life has not changed much in the century since the Diplomatic Corps. has been founded. News comes in, treaties are made, wars declarded, wars ended, trade agreements forged, Lafthi has taught his Diplomats to have a mind for the situation at hand. Because of this, Lafthi takes pride in knowing he has had a small part in the success that is Malinor and continues to help it survive, grow, and bloom in the future.

Good Deeds (List Several of your good deeds and how they prove you are worthy of becoming ascended):

1. Founded the Malinor Diplomatic Corps.- The Corps. is responsible for getting any news in Aegis first and reporting it to the High Prince. As a result Malinor has been able to react to news, many times concerning the undead, swiftly.

2. Helping those who follow Iblees- Through his intercation with the world, Lafthi has come across a few who he has managed to convince to come back to the Light after following Iblees. Through interaction with these people Lafthi has learned not only a few secrets about Iblees and the undead but also how to better convince others to turn and follow the light.

3. Helping thise being attacked/mugged- Through his travels Lafthi has come across those who are "strong" trying to overcome those that are weak, simply for money. Lafthi has tried his best to help these people and oftentimes succeeds simply by standing up to the attacker or calling for additional aid.

4. Helping those who need it- This is probably one of the easiest ways Lafthi helps, through the small things. But then again, most people do these things, to helping a neighbor to helping a stranger.

Character Flaws:

As a result of his years of being a Diplomat, Lafthi tends to overthink sometimes and a result, believes a situation is worse than it actually is. This means that Lafthi will often acredit more strength to his enemies then they actually have. It is times like these though when Lafthi shares the facts with others and gets second opinions thats often counter balanace his own.

Hero’s Specialty (is your hero a warrior, builder, trader; at least 1 paragraph long):

Lafthi's greatest streangth is that he is able to unite people. While people might follow him originally just based off of his title they are moved and inspired by his tongue, if not by his lack of sword skill. It is Lafthi's ability to unite people to a common goal that makes him a good Diplomat. Recently however, Lafthi has learned this "uniting effect" also works well on the field of battle and as a result has been found to take place in more abttles against the undead as of late..

Rationale (what is your characters mindset, why does he go out of his way to help others):

Lafthi does the right thing because it is the right thing to do. He grew up on not only the ancient tomes his parents studied but also the fairy tales of the Elves that his parents read to him, where good always conquered evil and there was always a moral to every story. Lafthi took these lessons and morals to heart and thus they became part of his ideals. Thus as a result Lafthi does the right thing to do because it is the right thing to do.

How do you determine right from wrong (At least 1 paragraph):

While growing up, Lafthi though right and wrong was clear cut. The bad guy always wore the dark cape and the good guy always had bright and shining armor. As he grew up and saw more of the world he saw that this was not true. Throughout his travels and interactions with others however, his instinct seems to have picked up more than he knows and thus he can usually trust it.

Being a Diplomat a direct answer will not suit Lafthi in this situation. While it is true you should return the weapon to your friend, you should also not return it during a time when he will either harm himself or others. Having justice, or being a just person depends on the ethics and morals of the individual person. For Lafthi this means that all beings in Aegis all equal, and thus everyone deserves the same amount of respect you show yourself. And thus, this must always be taken into account when dealing with others.

2. 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

Tis nobler in Lafthi's mind to take arms against a sea of troubles and by opposing end them. There will always be evil and danger in the world, if no one were to stand up to it however, the Evil in the world would simply grow larger and larger. Tis nobler to fight when outmanned and outmatched, then to let the innocents around you, as well as the ones that will come after you, be slaughtered by the Evil that seeks to control the world.

Hero Application:

Minecraft User Name: Djinnebeta

Hero’s Name: Jino (The_Wandering_Architect_Jino

Background Of Hero (Chronologically and must be at least 1 paragraph long, but no longer than 4 paragraphs):

I had my birth in the cloud temple, and I thought I would be raised to be one of the great protectors of the realm by my mother and father, who had made it up there. It was a dream, but there was never any chance of it happening. When I was 5, undead took my mother and father and sacrificed them to Iblees. There went my chances and my dreams. I've always dreamed of helping the whole world and protecting people against suffering. At that point, it felt like my whole world had been popped. I felt a deep hatred for the undead and their master, the fallen one on that day. I hated that people had to suffer when they had done no wrongs. I vowed to myself on that day that I would do everything in my power to bring an end to the constant suffering I saw around me. I wanted nobody else to suffer through so much pain and misfortune.

After that tragedy, I just ran. I ran and ran, blinder than a bat. But then again I had even deeper misfortune. I was kidnapped by a bandit who worshipped Iblees, the fallen one. The worst possible place to be. Each night I would work out impossible plots to escape, each less likely to work than the last. The bandit sure did make sure there were no ways out, and on top of that, he had told me if I escaped he would hunt me down and kill me. At that age, i was too scared to disobey. Too weak to disobey with what I was fed. I was given little scraps of meat to live on, and was becoming a sack of bones. I had to stay in that torture house for a whole year, being bait for unsuspecting victims and posing as a crying child. He continued to preach to me, to continue to tell me about how he did the will of the one true god, despite my best efforts to make him realize I wasn't interested in becoming an evil person, that my parents were killed by the undead. I didn't have any morale in those days. Life had hit a rock bottom and I don't think I'll ever forgive myself for being such deceptive bait, even if I was forced to with the threat of my life.

But the turning point, my redemption and freedom, some might say, my freeing, came in the oddest of ways. This time dark man had attempted to rob an ascended. Bad choice. But the worst thing was, when he realised his fake god would not protect him against the light, he lied. He lied to the ascended, about me. When he figured out that he was going to die if he continued this way, he told the ascended that I was the worshipper and that he was simply trying to get me out of my bad ways and pretending to be one to try to take my faith down from the inside. Such an intricate lie. I don't even know how it worked, but it was unfortunate that I hadn't been posing as bait that time, I really don't know how he would have lied then... I had never been prepared for such a situation, and was unable to speak as my insides turned to stone. My heart sunk as I saw the ascended's vengeful eyes turn upon me and I barely had time to speak before I was thrown backwards to a tree and slammed unconscious by a magical force.

When I woke up, which I hadn't expected to do, I was in the cloud temple of aegis. The monks told me I was fine and that they knew what really happened. They comforted me like nobody else had in my entire life and told me that the ascended had sensed Iblees' presence inside the bandit's warped, evil mind and so, the traitorous man had been struck down by the light. Even the ascended was sorry. He was sorry for letting his temper go so fast at the mention of a worshipper. I do not know what to say to that. I don't know whether to feel good or bad. In the end, the ascended realized what he had done, so I suppose it is no matter, and justice was done to the bandit, so I could consider it settled.

Nowadays, I try to be as kind and helpful as possible, and help justice be done. Building my own structures from such an early age helped me to learn to make buildings functional AND good looking. I had to learn to cope on my own, and learn to make do by cooking pork in furnaces. I never jump to conclusions as a result of this encounter. The ascended that almost killed me taught me something very valuable, even if he showed me only what NOT to do.

I now am happy for that ascended's arrival. If he hadn't been there, I don't know where I would be right now and so I have grown to love and revere the ascended as a race.

Good Deeds (List Several of your good deeds and how they prove you are worthy of becoming ascended): I always help people I meet out on the road. Once, I gave a man 50 minas because he told me he was going shopping. Also, I help oppose bandit attacks. When I see somebody being robbed, I will help him, as my eventual goal is to destroy all suffering in the world. I understand it is impossible, but I can at least strive to achieve the best I can.

These deeds make Jino worthy because generosity can go a long way in people's hearts and an ascended needs to be kind to all without discrimination. Generosity is one of Jino's prime features, alongside with showing people how weak it truly is to be a servant of Iblees.

Telling people about Iblees' weaknesses makes him worthy because he actually saves somebody from the dark by doing so. If he hadn't found them and they had continued the way they had, they may have ended up undead and truly dead to the world. To become undead is one of the worst sins imagineable and makes you cursed forever.

Helping people out when being mugged makes Jino worthy as he has been robbed many a time, and he finds it is very unfair to have to give away things you worked hard for just because someone has more power. It also makes him worthy because it shows that he has a good sense of justice and righteousness.

Also, I have slain many undead using battle strategies (( I am a VERY good strategist)) Being able to kill undead is a good deed, not because you are stopping them from attacking citizens, (Well, it is ) but because you are stopping them preaching Iblees to others and spreading their cursed ways.

The fact that Jino hates the undead for what they did to his family and what they are doing to the world means he is worthy, as he shall do everything that is in his power to eliminate the undead scourge.

To eliminate undead is one of his main goals in life, and he does all he can to kill them or show them the light.

Character Flaws: Jino can anger sometimes with stubborn Iblees worshippers. He knows they bring suffering to many, and so he knows that in order to stop them, he may need to kill them. He always tries to preach first, though. No matter how deep someone is in the darkness, he always tries, because you can never know.. He is a smooth man otherwise, always attempting to leesen the suffering in the world and destroy pain that he deems unnecessary and out of place.

When his temper flares, he does not rage, though. There is such a thing as righteous fury. He often goes into a preaching spree, and refuses to have anyone tell him it is pointless and that the worshipper is not listening. He is never violent out of rage. That is defining. His rage never translates into violence. If he kills someone, it is because it must be done, because they will right their ways

This is a rare occurance, though. It is actually very rare for him to get angry as his main purpose in life is to decrease suffering. Being angry at people does not do that.

Another thing is that he likes to run around the roofs of al'khazar (which is not allowed) and cause minor mischiefs (never too serious) But is gone before guards get a chance to notice who he was.

Hero’s Specialty (is your hero a warrior, builder, trader; at least 1 paragraph long): My character is a builder and a warrior mainly, having built his first structure at 15 and fighting many creatures while traveling to Al'khazar. It took him many days and nights to reach the city, and by that time he had learned to be kind on the road to passers by.

He prefers to be a warrior, though, a fighter/defender of aegis against the undead forces. He even likes to build underground forward camps for warriors that may come in the future.

He likes to build, make strategies and be on the field of war.

Him being a good builder would be useful to the ascended as the ascended's main city is all about their architecture, and all about keeping the same aura. He has a good taste for colour schemes and material uses.

Me being a strategist and warrior would be even more useful to the ascended because I hear the ascended are in need of skilled warriors to combat the seemingly overwhelming powers of the undead. I am good at fighting, and my strategies can easily win a futile war if used accurately.

Rationale (what is your characters mindset, why does he go out of his way to help others): He goes out of his way because he has felt great sadness in his life, and he wishes for nobody else to feel the same pain as he has. He wishes that people live happy lives, even if many sad things happen inside them. His goal is to decrease pain, so he goes out of his way to help others, making them feel better and less bad if they are feeling down.

Ascended need people go out of their way to help others to maintain that neutral trust that is needed for nations to bind together, and, simply because being kind to people goes a long way. As Jino has that kind instinct, it would help him be a better ascended.

How do you determine right from wrong (At least 1 paragraph):

I determine right from wrong usually by justice. I believe that killing is wrong in all cases, so I always do whatever I can to stop it. Stopping people killing each other is another motivation for me to stop bandits robbing people of their hard earned goods. Suffering and pain are the two things that I would give my own life to not let happen and I also determine wrong by selfishness. I think selfishness is wrong in all cases, no exceptions. Although I said killing is always wrong, it is often necessary to kill an undead, as they are already deep in the dark and unlikely to change their ways. That is why I dislike undead preachers more than all other types. Not only have they chosen to take the curse upon themselves, but they wish to spread it to others.

It is good for ascended to have people that will be able to define what is right and wrong, even if the line is a little blurry sometimes.

There is no one phrase that can define how the whole world should act. Of course it would not be right to return the sword in this case as the friend may kill people with it, and having him do that would be worse that falling out with him or even going to jail for stealing. If you did return it to him, in a way, YOU would be doing the murder that he may commit. But In all other cases, I sincerely believe all debts should be paid or the cheat must bear the punishment for his vile actions. It is up to a man's own judgement to decide if it is wise to pay a debt or if it is dangerous.

2. 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

I would do each in different situations, for example, some troubles will keep on coming, so just keeping on taking them in will get you nowhere, whereas it can be very dangerous just to rush in and oppose a sea of troubles because you'll probably get overwhelmed. In the most cases, I would take up arms, because it is better to end trouble than to have it keep on coming.

Taking troubles on, though, sometimes is best because it can simply make the trouble die out after time. Better to do that than waste energy attacking the problem. Time solves many things, and troubles are one of them if used right.

I just stated which one works best. What is written above was which one is nobler. It is clearly nobler to take the sea of troubles in the chest and simply withstand them. It is easy just to rage and attempt to eliminate something, but not so easy to wait for it to die down and have patience with the world.

Hero Application:

Minecraft User Name: Blaedr

Hero’s Name: Blaedr Stouthammer

Background Of Hero (Chronologically and must be at least 1 paragraph long, but no longer than 4 paragraphs):

Blaedr Stouthammer was born and raised in the dwarven city of Kal'Menor. He is the son of Aindrias, his father, and Samantha, his mother. Blaedr grew up being loved and cared for by them both and he was taught many skills by his parents. From Aindrias, he learned how to read and write, how to use a sword, how to raise a house and farm, and many other tasks. From Samantha, he learned how to treat others fairly and with respect no matter who they are, either high ranking or lowborn.

As the years went on, he soon noticed a change in Samantha. She became more irritable and had begun to lash out towards Aindrias and Blaedr. Blaedr soon became worried and started checking after his mother to see if she was alright. He soon found a stash of redstone in a hidden hole in the floor of the basement. He then realized how his mother had became addicted to redstone. Blaedr's mother began to grow worse and more feeble until she had eventually succumbed to her addiction. Filled with grief, Blaedr and Aindrias mourned Samantha's passing and still do to this very day.

Now, for some, that would have completely changed their outlook on life. But, for Blaedr, it strengthened his resolve and solidified the teachings of his parents. He became even more determined to live a good life, be respectful to all peoples, and to help where ever he can. Blaedr decided it was time to move on and, with blessing from Aindrias, left Kal'Menor at the age of 22 to begin his life in Kal'Urguan. Upon arriving, he noticed a man on the side of the White Road calling for help. It was Governor Sornof of the United Aegis Coalition. He had fallen ill and required aid so Blaedr helped him to a bed close by and, after checking to see if he was stable, went for more help. He found other members of the United Aegis Coalition and brought them to Sornof. From there, they nursed him to full health and strength. Soon after, Blaedr joined the UAC after learning of their cause to help them bring peace to the land.

Blaedr is, and has been, a member of the UAC for 12 years now. In that time he has helped many people by helping resolve issues, helping them by giving them items of value and need, by volunteering his time and skill, or just being nice! He has helped the UAC construct a chapel and library outside of Haven as well as remodel and build the UAC Forward Base Omega. He has recently received a scroll of power telling of how he has the blood of Aenguls and is excited, and nervous, on what lies ahead...

Good Deeds (List Several of your good deeds and how they prove you are worthy of becoming ascended):

Blaedr has aided many people in his lifetime. He has become a regular dwarf in the UAC by helping to build their new chapel and library outside of Haven, as well as treating the new recruits respectfully and kindly. He has also helped to remodel and construct the forward base in the North to rally against the Undead. Blaedr has also fought for Snowy Fields in their plight and against the Undead every chance he gets.

Blaedr has been kind to all he meets as well. He has most recently helped a young man named Reek by becoming his friend, giving him food and clothing ,and a safe, warm place to sleep. He has aided in settling disputes and being the voice of reason in tense situations. Also, Blaedr has helped people resolve past differences and been a person to lean on in times of need. He has helped one of his newer elf friends in the UAC get past his racism towards dwarves and has become quite close to the young elf. He also tries to aid the Ascended wherever he can, whether it be in battle, helping to build something, or even offer his input and opinions.

Character Flaws:

Blaedr can, at times, be too trusting of strangers and others he does not know. Blaedr is also very protective of his father and mother for all that they have done for him and, if they are insulted, he is quick to anger.

Hero’s Specialty (is your hero a warrior, builder, trader; at least 1 paragraph long):

Being a member of the UAC, Blaedr is primarily a warrior at heart. He is a strong, steady force in battle. He is also careful and cautious in battle plans to ensure a successful, and low cost victory. As well as this, Blaedr has recently taking a liking to building as well. He has helped to build various structures for the UAC and has a decent grasp at being able to fit buildings into the style of the lands around it.

Rationale (what is your characters mindset, why does he go out of his way to help others):

Blaedr's mindset is deeply rooted in the way he was raised. He was raised to be a gentle, kind, caring, and respectful dwarf from his parents. With these traits, Blaedr always likes to go out of his way to help others and continue practicing the skills his parents imbued in him.

How do you determine right from wrong (At least 1 paragraph):

Blaedr helps to determine right from wrong by various means. He tries to stay a neutral voice in any argument and tries, as best as he can, to fit himself in each persons shoes and evaluate the pros and cons of each. Blaedr tries to empathize with each sides feelings and also tries to use the visual cues of each side to catch deceit.

I agree with both of these to an extent. With my upbringing, I believe that speaking the truth and paying your debts is the way to go in life. It helps to breed honest behavior in myself, and helps to spread that positivity and good feelings to others, and then for those good feelings to be spread to even more people.. As for Socrates' opinion, I can also see the implication in that. You need to use your judgment to decide on when to pay back your debt. For example, if you borrowed your friends sword and he has gone mad, now is not the good time to pay back that debt. But the intent of wanting to do so and understanding the reason not to is the lesson learned here. With that said, keeping the sword until a later time when the friend has calmed down and has his wits about is fine to do. The reason for this is ensuring your friends, and others, safety.

2. 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

I believe that you need to take arms against the sea of troubles and oppose them by whatever means. Now, this does not mean just evil. Of course, opposing evil is a very important thing to do, but this can also be used in broader terms. You need to have the same tenacity in fighting evil as you do in the things that set out against you in life. You need to be just as enthusiastic and meet them head on and by doing so you will lessen the troubles against you, thus clearing your mind. This will help you to focus on other things in life and lead to a calm, stress free way of thinking. If you don't, these troubles grow upon themselves which is bad for any person, dwarf, orc, or elf.

Tyrellius

Hero’s Name

Andreas Vestex; Crusader of Aeriel.

(I go by Crusader_Vestex in-game.)

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Background Of Hero

For thirty five long years, I, Andreas Vestex has been a Crusader of Aeriel in hope of vanquishing the evil that taints the world.

" Long thou live peace, forever shall thee Ascended reign. " is but a quote, for the upcoming threat is too large for thee Ascended alone. The Undead have been terrorizing the world of Aegis, and it has been but a short time since such unbalance became. " I vow to remove of the taint of Iblees, forevermore shall there be peace! " he would yell, and only in the hearts of few did they know the Crusader would die in attempt. I marched up to he Fortress of hell, to only be thrown massive balls of fire, and lightning that struck like rain! In such turpitude, I flung one mighty arrow, hitting the Dreadlord dead in the eye. He hollered in pain, and came down to personally finish me off himself. He was obviously unsuspecting thee death, for I woke up two hours later, in the arms of a very kind Monk. My friends, however, weren't as fortunate. The only living crusader by me was Apollo, a nice young wood elf fellow who wasn't a very good fighter. Andreas knew the only way to release the taint of Iblees was to join the Ascended, so which he has done many good deeds to gain there attention, and so he did.

Just this very day, I have prevented Brum, a previous Undead associate from robbing a rather Beautiful elven lady. We had a short fight of blades, but he was no match. The lady, however, ran away in the midst. It was a loss as it was a gain; I was hoping to give her some company.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Good Deeds

Preventing the attacks of the Undead

Andreas has one trustworthy member of the Undead, whom has not fallen to the taint of Iblees. He is, infact, an undead himself. Very much so recently, Andreas has not had contact with him. It may e unclear whenever or not he has completely turned, but in a very reliable time of need, i do believe he will come out of hiding.

Honorable Citizen of Oren

Because of his trustyworthy nature, Captain Vardak has elected him a Guardian of Oren. He is not a registered military fighter, for he works for none other than Aeriel. Vardak respects that, and thus he has privileges that others do not. Andreas takes his job seriously, and is not using this for his personal benifit.

Respect for the Unfortunate

Andreas owns a small Free Food stall outside Alkhazar, where he gives Bread, Soup, and other healing items to whomever is in need. On occasion, he gives out a delightful read to those who have not food, nor entertainment. The most common book he gives out is Fundaments of Alchemy.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Character Flaws

As heroic and noble as Andreas Vestex may sound, he has the possible biggest flaw yet: A soft spot for women. He can barely control himself near them, always smooth talking to get thou beloved's attention. His only acception is age. The only experience where Andreas could control his emotion was where a Lovely young women came to him when Snowy fields was under attack. He forgot everything about himself, and led her to safety. Shortly afterwards, he woke up with the monks...

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hero’s Specialty

Andreas is a very Intelligent man. He spends his final few hours every night reading a book, covering the pages left to right. This has been a tradition to him, following this route every day, every year, his entire life. He has became so good, that he can recall memorys like pages from a book, giving him a perfect Photographic memory. (OOC: This trait would be an OOC attribute, meaning I could take a SS to remember something In-Game if i forgot in real life.) This trait would not only make him a good scholar, but a fantastic warrior; He can easily remember a specific style about his enemies attacks, just in case he ever comes back into contact with them.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Rationale(I'm not going to lie, i had to Google this word to find out what it ment.)

Andreas Vestex became a Hero and a Crusader for the sole purpose to rid the world of Iblees. He lived the life of a poor family, who couldn't afford much, so when the Undead took what little that was remained, that was the final straw. Forevermore, Andreas will aid the Ascended in his last breath to rid Iblees' Taint. Unfortunate for him, though, he is no member of the Ascended and thus is weak in comparison.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

How do you determine right from wrong

Righteous acts should nearly always involve helping somebody rather than yourself. Should the act be as gaining power to rid evil, that would be right as well. An act of wrong isn't necessarily evil, but it is very selfish. Andreas himself is wrong when he flirts with every single or married woman alive.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cephalus defines ‘justice’ as speaking the truth and paying one's debts. Socrates quickly refutes this account by suggesting that it would be wrong to repay certain debts—for example, to return a borrowed weapon to a friend who is not in his right mind.

Neither sides are necessarily wrong. The overall best solution would be Cephalus' choice, but Socrates isn't wrong. If the weapon you borrowed is from a friend in a mentally unstable state, then thou shall have a long chat over responsibility. It is a huge responsibility to hold a sword, and even magic for that matter. I personally would choose to give the sword back and monitor what he does with it. Should he mess up and... commit crimes. He would have the weapon stripped from him.

'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

Thee idea of which is most Noble is to take arms in a a sea of trouble, but what is more civil is to suffer the slings of outrageous fortune. In which case you are suggesting which be more noble, fight for what you believe in. Only when you try may dreams come true.

Hero Application:

Minecraft User Name: TwilightStorm

Hero’s Name: Twilight Storm

Background Of Hero (Chronologically and must be at least 1 paragraph long, but no longer than 4 paragraphs):

Twilight Storm was born in the year 1233 at a small cottage located within the forest surrounding Laurelin. There he lived a happy life and learned to love nature.

"Nature is everywhere and everything. Even the smallest most insignificant ant is a part of nature," his father once told him. All was well with his life until about the time of his fifteenth birthday. On that exact day his family was attacked! The assailants were of Dwarven descent and were Undead followers. As the attack began Twilight's mother forced him into the cellar of their cottage. After doing this she went and bravely fought along side her husband... Sadly both were slain.... Twilight waited hours for his mother's return. When she didn't return he went up to see what happened. Upon leaving the cellar he saw both his mother and father dead in front of him and all of his belongings gone. This scarred and panicked the young elf. During his panic he ran off into the woods to live alone with nature for it was the only thing that comforted him.

He lived there for about ten years until he spotted a young elf about ten years younger then him walking through his camp. He asked the young elf what he was doing alone and told him that the woods was a dangerous place. The elf replied saying that his family was killed not a week ago. Twilight then asked him his name. The young elf told him that is was Volthias Dramos. Once he had said that, Twilight adopted him as his younger brother to live with him. They lived happily in the forest for about fifty years. After this time they wanted a new life and calling so they left the forest to join a greater cause. The cause they wanted was to protect Aegis from evils such as the Undead and so they did by joining the UAC. This is where the story ends and continues in Twilight's daily life of duty along side brave souls such as Volthias, Thimble, and Blaedr Stouthammer.

Good Deeds (List Several of your good deeds and how they prove you are worthy of becoming ascended): I have spread the good word of Aeriel and the Ascended around most of Aegis. I also have fought along side other Followers of Aeriel against the Undead many times. Other things I have done include escorting many to Laurelin because they did not know the way. One other thing I have done is defend those who cannot defend themselves, and an example of this is when I protected a young man named Finn from a pigman when he was helpless

Character Flaws: Twilight is often racist against against Dwarves because the Undead followers who killed his family were of Dwarven descent.

Twilight is also very battle hungry and almost never retreats even when ordered.

Hero’s Specialty (is your hero a warrior, builder, trader; at least 1 paragraph long): My character is a warrior and a builder. He has fought many battles against the Undead at their former keep along side many UAC/FOA operatives. He has also built many things including a chapel and library at the old UAC base outside of Haven. Other things he has built is the FOA foreword base outside Al'Khazar and the UAC Omega base in between Alstion and Snowy Fields.

Rationale (what is your characters mindset, why does he go out of his way to help others): Twilight see's the good in others and will often go out of his way to help them. The reason for this is because he knows the pain of being alone and helpless. He wishes this upon no one so he helps out anyone in need to the best of his abilities.

How do you determine right from wrong (At least 1 paragraph): I assess the situation deeply and determine what the right outcome would be. Ways I do this is by finding the truth of the matter and by determining if it clashes with my morals or not. Morals only go so far however so I find the outcome that is for the greater good.

Reaction: I believe that speaking the truth is always a needed necessary trait. I also believe that repaying debts is also very important. As example the situation with the friend who is not in his right mind rather than giving him the sword back. I would give him something else that would benefit him equally in all shapes and forms.

2. 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them? Reaction: It is very noble to sacrifice one's own personal thoughts and belongings for the greater good. I would gladly give my life if it meant that it would save hundreds of others. For example if I was given a choice of life or death and if I chose life I would live but an entire city would die, but if I chose death the city would live. I would gladly give my life to save the inhabitants of that city.

Those are my reactions to those situations.

[...]Azriel bows before the Sage and outstretches his hand. He hands over a fine scroll of parchment and only raises his head upon beckoning. "Thank you, noble and kind Sage..."[...]

Minecraft Username: KrasnayaArmiya

Hero's Name: Azriel Lucius, Followers of Aeriel Lieutenant

Background of Hero:

The Deep Cold - Azriel Lucius

I never knew from whence I came. I remember the cold, the type so foreboding it that could cut into your very being. I remember the warmth of unconditional love, emanating from two beings...(my parents?)...I remember only the barest of essentials being available...and then I remember the fire. Fire so hot it could burn into your soul. The screams of pain, the sense of urgency, the surge of adrenaline...and then nothing.

I lay awake at night pondering these images, mulling over the dream that haunts me every night...if only to gain some semblance of recognition. However, it is in vain. As I sit here in my Quarters nestled deep in the Followers of Aeriel' base, I can hear the wind cutting through the cold expanse of the North - it sounds nearly identical to the ghastly, forlorn moans of the innumerable victim of the scourge. I am then reminded that there are much more pressing matters at hand.

The earliest memory I can recall with familiarity is my brief life in the slums of Alk'Hazar. I know not how I came into being in this grand metropolis, but I quickly realized I was quite low on the social caste. I lived off of whatever I could scrounge up from the waste of the city's denizens. I did not take out of malicious intent, but rather for survival. In my spare time, I would engross myself in whatever literature came my way. Be it through news postings, discarded ledgers, aged monologues - I realized education was often times the key for said survival. I did not (or perhaps would not) remember what I once went by, but I adopted the name Azriel from one of the many discarded books I came upon. Azriel Lucius.

My actions quickly drew the ire of the citizenry and in turn, the town guard. I was forced to relocate before I was involuntarily restricted to a rather unpleasant jail cell...

I sought out the familiar North lands. I was intimately aware of the nuances of this barren landscape, but could not yet make out why, seeing as how I could not remember ever residing here...(or did I?). I quickly carved out my own dwelling before the harsh, unforgiving land claimed yet another soul, and managed to fashion my own vestments and armaments from the elements. I would take from nature only what was necessary and would hunt only for nourishment, not for sport. In this time, I honed my mind and body...I became skilled in the art of swordsmanship and my archery skills were developed quite nicely. I lived a stable, if not isolated existence off of the land.

That was all shattered with the arrival of the Undead.

One night, I awoke in a cold sweat. Images of hellfire and brimstone dominated my slumber. Distorted, sharp images of painful torment racked my brain and pierced the backs of my eyes - all remnants of an eerily familiar dream (or was it a memory?). I quickly felt something was amiss - the atmosphere was unsettling and adrenaline pulsed through my veins. Gathering my vestments and weaponry, I made my way outside, expecting to be welcomed by the biting cold. However, I was met with an almost warm sensation upon exiting my abode.

A familiar sight played out in front of my eyes, the familiarity lost on me (or maybe you just don't want to remember). In the distance, fire shot high into the sky, seemingly an affront to the very Heavens. Screams and cries pierced through the air. The nearby settlements of the North were under siege by some form of malevolence. Lightning struck intermittently, as if the as of yet unknown beings controlled the very weather that resided over Aegis...I was about to begin a frantic trek through the melting snow, when that very seem malevolence I earlier sensed shot through my very being. Danger.

I quickly jumped out of the way and narrowly dodged a sword before it ran me through. A searing pain momentarily shot through my face, and I was vaguely aware of a hot red liquid impeding my sight and making it's way down my face. Spinning with my blade in hand, I turned to face my opponent. I came face to face with glowing red eyes, surrounded by a sunken face. Shrouded by a dark hood complimented by robes as black as the night, the foreboding figure loomed over me. I could scarcely make out his (if it was indeed classified by gender) features, but was vaguely aware of a sinister steer. His eyes were drawn together, seemingly in amusement.

In a flash, a searing hot ball of fire was willed in my direction from thin air and again I jumped out of the way. The fireball connected with the door I was just positioned in front of. It shattered into dozens of pieces of burning splinters and they seared into the exposed areas of my flesh. Quickly closing the distance between myself and the being before me, I thrust my blade true and determined towards the center mass of this being. I buried my sword deep into the unholy assailant and he let out what could only be described as an otherworldly wail. He vanished in a dark plume of smoke and I was left there, bewildered. Clutching my sword close to me, I vigilantly scanned the nearby landscape for any sign of the being. He (or it) was nowhere to be found. Dabbing at my face, I winced at the pain and looked at my hand. Blood. The fiend had cut into me, narrowly missing my left eye, but I was relieved he didn't get the chance to do much else. I would most certainly scar, however.

Satisfied that I was safe for the time being, I began the long trek to the nearby settlements. The fire was still burning in the distance...I hoped I wasn't too late...A warm, comforting female voice then resonated throughout my head.

'Your intentions and valor ring true. Continue onwards, brave Northerner, your destiny awaits...'

I stopped momentarily and shook my head, startled.

I knew my journey was just beginning.

Good Deeds: I was a loner for a brief time, preferring to carve out my life in the barren North and keep to myself. However, I realized that it was...unnatural. I've never felt fulfilled nor at ease on my own. No, I came to the conclusion that I was brought into this world to do good in the name of Aeriel. A warm, comforting whisper would soothe my very soul whenever I helped the helpless or vanquished evil from the lands of Aegis...a mother's hand, coddling her scared son.

I came to Alk'Hazar and sought out those in need and would offer my expertise as a warrior, free of charge. A small town, Greenshire, was just forming. I acted as protectorate of the town, standing guard many a foreboding night against banditry, thuggery, and evil. No harm came to this town under me.

After Greenshire managed to get on it's own two feet and become self-sustaining, I sought recruitment with the Followers of Aeriel, having heard it was spearheading the battle against the Undead scourge. There, I was recruited by Commander Blaedr and I spent many long months serving the denizens of Aegis with my improved capacity to do so.

I scour the outskirts of Alk'Hazar, on the watch for banditry and always at the ready to lead travelers to safety from the harsh elements of the Wilds. I regularly work with the Town Guard to root out both mortal followers of Iblees and common lawbreakers. And many a time, I have organized both defense and offense against the scourge and their followers with my FOA brothers always at hand. I have also stormed many bastions of evil with congruent forces, be it the Followers of Aeriel, the Town Guard, or whatever group of brave men and women I could gather together in haste.

But...I am only one man. Despite my valiant efforts to organize a defense, Alstion fell to the Undead for the final time many moons ago. I was gravely wounded during my efforts and despite my having assailed many of the fiends, I could not make a difference. The town fell and many of the defenders were massacred. Since then, I have learned to truly understand the power of evil and the means necessary to vanquish it.

Character Flaws: I am well meaning, but my judgement is often clouded by my eagerness and youth. I pride myself on being a tactician and calculating strategist, but often times my patience runs thin and I may take an approach that is not tactically sound and may very easily endanger my life. As I gain a breadth of experience, I believe my eagerness will give way to a self-assured calm.

Hero’s Specialty: I am a man of many talents, but I am a warrior first and foremost. As a Northerner, I live by the blade, but only in the defense of Aegis and her denizens, no matter what their creed.

Rationale: The lands of Aegis were created by for all to live by and to enjoy and the denizens of Aegis must respect both the land and each other. Those that rape the land, and terrorize the helpless must be vanquished in the name of Aeriel. Not everyone can arm themselves in the defense of Aegis, so it is the responsibility of those who can to put their lives on the line for those that cannot.

Justice as a man made institution is meaningless if it goes against the inherent moral code that is instilled upon us by the powers that be. We must shape our beliefs of justice off of the greater good - the ultimate well being of Aegis, her lands, and her people, for it is the first and foremost concern and must always be adhered too. Any man made institution or notion comes at a very distant second to that. If it contradicts the golden rule, it must not be adhered too and must ultimately be sidestepped. We must never lose sight of the greater good, we must never compromise the intricate values that set us aside from the savages, the thugs, and the evil that scours this land.

'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

It is foolish to take up arms in every conflict - we are not the mediators of every quarrelsome feud that may come along, nor are we the an extension of any group or faction that wishes to impose it's view upon Aegis. For evil is subjective to many, we must exercise restraint with the power bestowed upon us, lest we become what we fight so hard against.

And it is even more foolish to lay dormant against oppression and tyranny if it can very well be avoided. However, if it means a nation of people be united, if it means the bastions of man are inspired to stand up for the greater good, then sometimes it is best to let tyranny take dominion. But ultimately, those that wish to do this land and it's denizens wrong should and must be stopped by just and steadfast methods, but not by any means necessary - lest we compromise what we stand for. Rather, we should face darkness with light, fire with water, evil with good. We should not and cannot never lose sight of what we stand united for as the protectors of Aegis.

Hero Application:

Minecraft User Name: JCQuiinn

Hero’s Name: Selina Aurella Demones

Background Of Hero (A few points diverge from my character application, as I have made minor adjustments to better fit the lore, and her current understanding. Mostly though, It is just copy-pasted from my application):

Selina Demones was born to the minor noble Demones family of Oren. Her life was quite normal until she was two, when her family was attacked by a rival noble family. Two of the courts servants, Ashan "Bowman" Venrak, and Verash helped her escape, along with the help of several others. Her two companions did what they could for the next several years, barely able to feed Selina, much less themselves. Ten years later, Bowman and Verash have been working desperately to hide Selina from discovery. Whenever they can, as their own personal form of vengeance, they search out those who were responsible for the death of the Demones family. Selina though, is left at camp as the go off to hunt one of the men, by the name of Folar Rothit. While they are gone a voice that feels almost familiar begins to speak to her. She is given a choice, and she eventually choses to become a Seeress. She though, at this point, chooses not to tell Bowman and Verash of her gift.

Another four years have passed, and Selina is now 16. For the past four years she has been using her ability to see the future as a travelling fortune teller, making a scant amount of money, enough for the trio to stay nourished and warm at night. At the same time, Selina has been following her own agenda, killing those still alive who are responsible for her parents’ death. While the others she has killed have been drunkards who live alone, Folar Rothit is different. She kills this man in cold blood, in front of his two children.

Several days have passed, and Selina is in horror at what she did to Folar Rothit. Minutes after committing her act, she realizes that Folar was remorseful for what he did during the war. Furthermore, she realizes she did to Folar's two year old child, what had been done to her fourteen years ago. Understanding the horrible cruelties she has committed, Selina attempts to kill herself, before being stopped by the voice. After a heated discussion with the 'fates', she finally swears an oath to herself, to never kill someone in vengeance again, only in justice.

Several more years of travel followed her as she wandered the land of Oren, listening to the voice in her head. After some time she felt a calling to the Followers of Aeriel, and soon swore herself to the cause. As she served her faith grew, and she began to put her trusts into the Ascended and Aeriel.

Good Deeds (List Several of your good deeds and how they prove you are worthy of becoming ascended):

Fighting the Undead-

Selina has sworn herself to Aeriel, and to the end of the Undead. Unlike many, who wish to end the Undead with cold steel, she wishes to instead show them the light, the error of their ways.

Turning people away from Iblees-

Selina has on one occasion so far convinced someone to turn away from darkness, and saved their life by doing so. She believes that she can save each and every person who has fallen to the lies of Iblees.

Character Flaws:

Despite her oath, Selina follows the saying, “Women forgive, but never forget.” She is one who will often extract vengeance on someone who she feels has wronged her. Furthermore, she has very little confidence in herself at times, often blaming the mistakes of others on herself. Also, while she believes everyone else can be saved, deep down she is convinced she is a monster without redemption.

Hero’s Specialty (is your hero a warrior, builder, trader; at least 1 paragraph long):

Selina is an adept fighter, skilled with several different weapons. While she knows how to handle most blades and a bow, her weapons of choice are the Khanda and the Quarterstaff. Much of her current military expertise comes from the time she has spent in the FOA. If anything though, she has a sharp mind that enjoys solving puzzles and thirsts for knowledge.

Rationale (what is your characters mindset, why does he go out of his way to help others):

Selina’s mindset is built around her personal experiences. Due to the tragedies that have met her in her early life, she attempts to avoid developing personal feelings for anyone she encounters, and often shows a hard outer shell. In response to the way that she treats others, she often hates herself and considers herself unlovable. Every attempt she makes at being good is so that she may help redeem herself, while every action she deems evil gives her more reason to hate who she is.

How do you determine right from wrong (At least 1 paragraph):

Selina determines what is right and wrong by considering the consequences and possible outcomes of a choice. Having made her own wrong choices, she will often choose the choice that will hurt the least amount of people, whether it is directly or indirectly. Oftentimes, if she sees a similarity between a current situation, and one which she has painful memories of, she will rely on such experience to guide her.

As stated before, Selina does whatever she can to pay her debts in full, even the ones she has created to act as her own penance. But, she does not believe ones work ends there. If, in the case where a debt will do more harm than good, she will do what she can to lessen the impact, even if it hurts herself, her happiness, or even her sanity in the process.

2. 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

Selina has learned that she must fight for what she stands for. Having endured many hardships herself, she does what she can to avoid feeling more pain, though she does not go out of her way to avoid it. She does not strictly believe that all fights must be with blades, arrows, and the art of magic. Instead, she believes that words and teaching can be as potent of weapons, if not more so.
