1.) You come across a massive ruin of ancient design,

strange sounds and lights emanate from within.

I would gather some friends before going in, then we would slowly and carefully make our way inside. I would also take note of anything interesting, such as writings, images, and items.

 

2.)While at a local bar you see two dark hooded figures

in the corner discussing in a whispered conversation. You can't quite make out

what they're saying but you clearly hear the word "artifact".

 

I would move closer to the two, enough so that I could listen to their conversation more easily. I also would write down any important facts in my journal.

 I'm already a hunter for over 30 years, because of this I've developed these skills the most, these I mostly master : Marksmanship, hunting, trapping, I deem myself a bit above average in swordsmanship, disguising, scouting, and I know a bit of engineering...that's about it, I can tailor a bit too.

Drake frowns, taking note on his small map where this place is, and attaches it with a small cord to the paw of his Raven, which he sends of to friends who know more about ancient ruins, and waits for them to help him explore them, he takes note of how the dungeon looks in the meantime, writing it down in his journal

Drake smiles, and joins the two, as he himself is also hooded, and masked above that too, he offers them a few drinks, which he knows they wouldn't refuse, get them drunk, and then trying to get these secrets out of them, by befriending them and getting them drunk, surely he would find more info about this 'artifact', after this, he pays the innkeeper the money for their drinks, and money for a bed for both of them.

I would draw my blade and shield, entering the ruin without hesitation. Keeping my shield raised and weapon by my side I would seek the source of the lights and noise - without fear!

I would draw my sword and shield, slowly moving towards the slowly erupting fight. Raising my shield - I would begin to run towards the two, hoping to stop any blood to be drawn. I have learnt not to trust the word of others, and would protect whoever is struck first; I would have no way of knowing if the robed man is really a necromancer.

I walk into the ruins, and listen to the sounds of birds chirping. I go to see what is inside, there are people sitting around a huge bonfire. There are men and women all talking and chanting around the fire. They see me and give me a strange look, I walk up to them to study there anatomy and log it down in a notebook. I walk around the ruins to see and strange signs and draw a sketch of them in my note pad.Then walk out after my research is done.

I would sit quietly with my engineer goggles on so I do not seem like and am trying to ease drop into there conversation. I shall use this as a disguise.  I will sit quietly thinking if I shall go over there and talk to the strange men.  I decide  I have enough strength that I can get up and go talk to them. I walk up to the men and ask " I heard one of you say artifact, Might I ask what it is?". Man 1" Oh nothing just someone told me about a magical meteor that is made of some swiss cheese rock". Man 2" Shut up man". I would ask" Well can you show me the way I am a Engineer but I like adventures do you know where I might find this.". Man 1" Aye well I was going to go but I hear some monsters guard it so Ill let you go ahead". Takes the map.

1.) You come across a massive ruin of ancient design,
strange sounds and lights emanate from within.

I would begin by taking out my notepad and sketching the ruin as best I could. After that, I would send a bird to a superior, informing them of the location of the ruin. As I explored the ruin, I would make careful notes and I would do my best not to steal any artifacts or trinkets I might find, however I cannot guarantee that I would be able to restrain myself.

I would approach the hooded figures as closely as possible, listening to the rest of the conversation. After they finished, I would approach one of them separately, offering some sort of valuables or money in exchange for the artifact, or the location of it. Should that fail I would abduct and extract information on how to acquire said artifact from the person.
