A letter is sent to Lord Blackmont, Augustus Blackmont:

"His Grace, Throdo Therving, ruler of House Denims-Therving, supports the legitimacy of this claim, and therefore is said of all House Denims-Therving hereby gives support to Lord Blackmont, Augustus Blackmont."

*Tenshar hears of the notice from friends in various houses. As he sits alone examining the work to be done on his current construction, he mutters to himself and a few nearby birds*

"Blackmont acts like a raving mad child who has not gotten what he wants. This will end no different then before, with Blackmont and his house of fools being beaten off like rabid mutts by the Teutons. The Teutons have always been loyal to the Emporer and willing to die for him while Blackmonts have hidden in their foolish deathtrap afraid of their own shadows thinking them Teutons come to take their heads. We will see which the Emporer wishes to support in the end, because the word of houses who owe Blackmonts is worth no more then the word children supporting another child in their attempt to demand a toy."

Hearing news of the declaration of contest, Peter leans back in his throne with a solemn expression on his face. Glancing to his left, then his right, Peter nods at the advisers that stand at his side. Ready to transcribe the parchment that will bear the fate of the newly formed Kingdom of Kaedrin on this matter. A loud clearing of his throat is echoed through the halls of Kaedrin, all the men around the court, bearing witness to the final declaration.

"On this matter, the Kingdom of Kaedrin and the Royal House Chivay side with Augustus Blackmont and his house on terms of marital alliance. With this siding, comes the support of all Kaedrin Houses. That which include: House Toov, House Edgehand, House Aelblight, and the many minors that come under."

After the letter has been transcribed, the Courier quickly tucks the parchment away. With that action, he runs off down the corridor off toward the Dreadfort. Seeing the boy do so, Peter nods reassuringly to the men around him.

"And so we go to war."

"I'm am the last Amedaius to stand, I did not sign anything for these scum."

He scoffs a bit, his eyes wander around, writing a letter he sends it off to tell that Amedaius does not support

Hadrien de Sarkozy sits in his garden, admiring the unfading beauty of nature when a messenger from court tentatively approaches him, disturbing him in his ponderous state and informing him of the situation.

He grunts. "Back in my day, we didn't allow ethnic minorities to stay king for long. Tell Lord Blackmont he's my support in this matter. And give the Marchioness my regards."

((LilTim, I believe House Amedaius refers to actual House Amedaius, who are barons in Kaedrin led by Jullius.))

(( Jullius left house Amedaius and is a sole vassal under Chivay, which is why he does not have the last name 'Amedaius'. The only member in House Amedaius relies with James Amedaius, me. ))

Lorin was not allowed free roam of the Dreadfort. Her husband's quarters and the higher reaches of the fort were strictly off limits to her. Even so, the declaration of contest had hardly escaped her notice - how could it, what with birds flying from every open window in the damned dark, gloomy place? Filching a copy of the declaration from one of the men, she took it to her small, drafty tower room and spread it out on her desk, scanning its contents with an avid eye. Certainly, she'd heard her husband babbling on about how Tiberius, their son, would one day be King of Hanseti, but she hadn't taken his statements seriously. More bravado from what was arguably one of the most vain, showy, and dramatic men in Oren. Yet somehow, this new puffed up display was meant to be taken seriously.

"Well, August," she said to her cold, dark room. "We'll either end up at the throne or at the gallows. It's always all or nothing with you, isn't it?"

Simultaneously, a bird arrived at the fortress in Hyrr, lighting on the wall near the farm. Tanith, who had been hard at work mulching the soil, lifted her head and pushed back her sweat-soaked hair. "A letter?" She reached out, taking the roll of parchment from the bird. The image of the flayed man on the letter made her frown. From the highest room in the mountain fortress, Tanith could squint and make out the shape of the Dreadfort's spires. Still, those ominous towers seemed so far away, too far away to matter. What were the men of the Dreadfort doing sending letters to Hyrr, of all places?

As her eyes wandered down to the list of houses that supported the claim, Tanith stopped short. House Toov? That had to be a mistake. She still remembered clearly how August Flay had once threatened her husband's life. It was true that Baldir hated the Teutons more than anything, but did he truly hate them enough to support Blackmont? Blackmont, the sadist, the man who'd threatened to end him, the man who'd performed all sorts of unspeakable horrors that still made Tanith's skin crawl. "No, this must be a mistake." Folding the letter and slipping it into her pocket, she turned and headed for the throne room. "Baldir! Baldir, we received a letter!"

*Alexander sends a letter to Lord Blackmont*

"My Sincere apologies, Lord Blackmont

We do not support your claim because at this time, I cannot allow my house to get involved in such things. I have recently become the count and need time to set up the house, thank you. -Count Alexander Valois"

Charles Silverblade writes another letter to be sent to Augustus Blackmont. The letter states that Charles will no longer be able to  support Augustus's claim to the title, King of Hanseti, as he is not within the power of House Silverblade to make such claims. Once Charles is finished with the letter he reads over it, and then a few moments later he nods and dips his seal into some wax, then stamps it upon the letter. The letter is then sent to the Dreadfort.

A letter is addressed to the Dreadfort, bearing the wax seal of house Hightower over it.  Once broken and opened, on the inside it is stuffed with a thick red parchment paper with the Hightower symbol stamped onto it.  The ink is black and hand written by the Prince.

"As voice of House Hightower, and standing head of it since James has taken a liking to talking to cats rather than humans.  The Hightowers go against your claims to the throne of Hansetti on grounds  the throne was given to His Majesty Mirtok DeNurem by his late divinity, Godfrey Horen-Hightower.

It would be a disgrace to his name, and treason against the Imperial family to try and uproot a Kingdom that was blessed to Mirtok from the imperial family.  May your attempts go in vain and your swords be brittle in battle as you do not have support from this side of the imperial family."

- Lancel Hightower, first of his name
