In-Character Information

Full name: Maehr Len

Current Age: 376 years old

Sub-race: Wood Elf

Past/History: I was raised in an unprivileged family that had great expectations for me.  We lived in an ancient tree until my father was murdered by Orcs over three hundred years ago.  My mother was overcome with grief and eventually went insane. Her sickness became so severe that she became violent towards me and I was forced to leave our humble home, filled with anger and regret.  I occasionally visit my mother, and supply her with food that I gather from my earnings as an arching mentor.

Currently, I am mentoring two young elves that show great skill and desire to be master archers.  I have become the successful elf that I am sure my parents wanted me to be.  I am a well respected figure in Elfish society, a member of an elite archer club, and have many supportive friends and students.  Even so, I still retain a strong desire to get revenge upon the fiendish Orcs that took the life of my father and damaged my mother.  I do not hate the Orc race as a whole, however, and still show respect to them whenever possible.

Ambitions for the future: Again, I would like to seek revenge on the monsters that hurt my family.  I would also like to see my students become great archers and perhaps explore the realms of Anthos with them.

Personality: I believe I am a very kind, gentle person that has been scarred from my dark past.  I am ambitious and expect my students to be the same.  I covet wisdom and knowledge, and would love to learn more about the realms of Anthos.

My father, one of the best archers in all of the Elfish lands, taught me everything he knew.  I am also very adept at the art of persuasion and deception, but I only use these skills to benefit others.

Appearance: I am a dirty blonde with deep cocoa brown skin. I always try to incorporate my favorite color, green, into my outfit, but I refuse to dye my hair.


Open Response Questions

1) I would pause for a moment and come up with a fib that would allow me to peacefully retrieve the child and detach him from the situation.  Then, I would dash into the group of elves and exclaim, "Where were you!?  You had your mother worried sick!  Come, she's looking for you over there" and lead the child briskly away.

2) Of course I gather the coins and put them on his chest as I carry him to the nearest home or building.  There, I search for an elf that knows who he is or how to revive him.  If nothing works and he passes away, I will give the money to any elves in need that I know of.

3) My first instinct would be to ask about any enchanted bows or magical items that he has.  In return, I often pay traders like him in wisdom or any valuable ores I have on hand.  I consider a fair trade to be one enchanted bow (level nine) for three diamonds, 12 gold, or answers to any 3 philosophical questions he has.
