(Before I start I just want to say that this is just a short ooc set of idea's for the dwarven religion and constructive criticism is fine, also I want to see if the GM's are alright with this.)

.The god of aegis created everything, including a surface god, and a cave/underground god.

.The surface and cave god fought frequently.

.The god of aegis made the sky god to watch over them for their fighting.

.The sky god became evil and during the night be battles his evil part of his spirit.

(Probably not enough detail for official roleplay, but this is just the basics, you can add or get rid of things if you like to make it better.)

Grommo, The Wanderer: God of Rootless Dwarves, and Rangers.

Grungi: God of Mining, Rune Forging, and Smithing.

Hashut: God of Darkness and Despair.

Hrungnor: God of the Order of the Denied, God of the Unworthy.

Krignar: God of Conflict and War.

Morngri: God of War and death.

Rukh: God of Smithing and Forges.

Smednir: God of Fire, Forging, and Smithing.

Morgrim: God of Combat and Defense.

Throrin: God of Politicians and Kings.

Valaya: Goddess of Hearth and Home, Family, Fertility and Healing. I

((The names I got from a website, they came with some descriptions, but I changed a lot of them.

Quite a few of those names also come from the warhammer lore. I don't know if that is an issue or not. I happen to be a fan of the dwarven lore in warhammer.

((Ya I got it from a warhammer site. I also enjoy the warhammer lore, so as long as no one has any issue with using them, I'd love to see them implemented

I saw a message or post where they wanted no new gods. But to steal an idea from warhammer the gods aren't really gods but heroes. They just give them such high regards that they are treated as gods and worshipped. So it wouldn't be adding gods technically just a pantheon of heroes to worship. Also runes>magic.

This is a good idea instead of gods they would be kings, heroes,or great magicians. Something like Gargar Master of light or Rimdar King of the mines etc somthing like this should be added.

After searching the temple ruins for some time, I may have found somethin for ye. A myth perhaps? I do believe this was written by our forefathers.

The Book of the Forge: Hammer

The forge was idle, for no one worked within.

First the hammer, then the anvil, then a spark.

The forge became bright and light became common.

For these actions are what gave birth to Aegis.

First were the floods, vast and powerful.

Then the land, strong and sturdy.

Then the caves, dark and beautiful.

Then the trees, bountiful and tall.

Then the father, hollow and dull.

Lastly the sons, who housed Urguan.

For these were the namers of our treasures.

For these were the writers of our lore.

For these were the builders of our cities.

For these were the fighters of darkness.

For these were the fathers of our world.

Dwarven Paragons

It comes a time where the dwarves need a role model or a high being to pray to and or worship. This is the basics of Paragons.

-A Paragon will be chosen by the King of the Dwarves (or assembly/council).

-He/she will be chosen based on their actions in this world to either better the dwarves or save them in a great way that no other dwarf could.

-Any dwarf who has made an achievement of significance can be named Paragon, elevating that dwarf above all others.

-Only one paragon may be alive at one time. There cannot be more then one. Another paragon will be chosen if the last one dies or goes missing for a long time.

-There doesn't always need to be a paragon as they are very few that can ever be chosen for such an honor.

-Paragons are very honorable and are looked up too by the other dwarves in the empire. They give others a look on how to be a proper dwarf and how to act like one.

-Paragons IF they have the support of the people can take the Kings position... the past king wouldn't be happy but hey, he isn't the paragon.

-Taken from the dragon age origins wiki

"Paragons are the elite of the dwarven culture. They are the noble warriors, politicians, smiths and surprisingly, children that all others seek to emulate. A Paragon is elected by the Assembly of the Shaperate. When a Paragon is chosen a House is created, that very instant, in the name of the Paragon, and his/her name is recorded in the Memories, the records of the dwarven people. The word of a Paragon carries an almost equal weight to that of the King. Not through any special political power, but because the word of a Paragon is held in that much respect by all dwarves. Set above the ancestors, above even kings, are the Paragons--dwarves who have achieved such greatness that they are elevated almost to godhood."

If a bishop of the dwarves wants to pray or lead a session to honor our past paragons, he/she would pick one and talk about them in the highest respect and tell of their great deeds and how the dwarves today can lead from them.

(Problem is I haven't found a dwarf yet who should gain this great honor. Paragons after they are chosen don't live much longer due to that fact they get over stressed with all the attention they get.)

Religon

The basic religion would be this

We all came from the stone when we were born. When we die we go back to it. Any dwarf how is exiled or is unworthy of this, wouldnt be granted a tomb to be recognized. The stone will be praised and used in a god like manner. "By the stone that rock is huge" or "FOR THE STONE BROTHERS!!!!"

When we die (all those not exiled) will be honored for their deeds as a dwarf and be sealed into a tomb with their closes life materials (axes, armor exc. exc.). Surviving members of the dwarf must respect their dead ancestor in any way they wish.

^ Can the first Paragon be Urguan?

He could be the reason why we start picking paragons, so yes. He founded our great empire we have today.

Also I don't like the idea of having multiple gods due to the fact it would be hard to honor all of them and remember all of them and write lore about them (yeah you go and try to make a minecraft book about a god ;)
