-=(House Romulus)=-

((Yes, this is based around Romans))

-=(History)=-

House Romulus originally began with Julius Romulus, a simple guardsman who started off working in a Dwarven hold in the South. After many years the guard force was disbanded as all non-Legion forces are and Julius was left to build and supply arms to the dwarves.

Then the dreadful day came, and Julius was sent out to work in the lumber yard. Meanwhile evil forces were at work. He returned late into the night, his palms sore and blistered from swinging an axe over and over all day. His eyelids moved up and down as if he was about to fall asleep on his walk home, though something was wrong, an inner sense was tingling but he could not figure it out. Then it hit him, he smelled smoke. Not like any kitchen fire to cook a hearty meal or hearth fire to warm the house, no, this was a fire that consumed all. The air was thick with the smell combined with that of charred flesh. A thick column of smoke rose from the trees as Julius’ feet pounded through the snow and over ice. Reaching the clearing where his home once stood he found only ash. A figure lay half buried under the rubble, the faint hint of a blue dress was all that could be identified. Around this women lay creatures of no normal standards. They were hunched and carried blades of ice, the snow-elves. Julius dropped to the snow in agony tears running down his face as the first bannerman of his house entered the clearing. It was too much, Julius passed into unconsciousness as his only child came running from the trees where he had hidden.

Many deaths like this followed over the next few months sometimes long periods of peace between raids. Eventually it became intolerable and the remains of the once Great House Romulus retreated North in hopes of finding peace with their own kind. Taking the lead, Julius claimed Lordship over the house, reorganizing the military, and gaining them land in the Northern kingdom of Herendul where they prosper in the lands of Frostlake.
