((It would seem this was missed))

Jonathan sees the note in malinor and slowly breaks into a grin "So i'm not the only one" he mutters to himself. Hastily, he pulls out a small sheet of paper and a quill, scribbling a note. Finally, he finishes the note and withdraws his dagger from his belt, pinning the note to the board. It would read

Hello sir. My name is Jonathan Elers, an aeromancer much like yourself. I am far from the wealthiest man on Anthos, and with the wild scramble for magic these days I suspect the tome will soar out of my price range. However, if you are willing, I would very much like to speak with you to discuss aeromancy, perhaps we could help each other in some way? Send me a bird should you be willing to discuss (which I very much hope you are)

Sincerely, Jonathan.E

((Myth you have 11 minas ._. don't make bids you can't back up))

Rolen posts a note next to this specific note.

Hmm, we will have to see about this. Like I have said with Blake Whitewolf, I am not entirely interested in discussing such topics with those that are deemed impure. You will have to send me a bird where we will discuss if this is a special occasion, but likely not. Keep in mind this is not to offend you, but I simply wish to follow maehr'sae hiylun'ehya.

*Sends a note to the seller.

It reads.

"I am aware that one of the bidders at the top, are not able to pay up. There are many here that can not pay for thier bid, therefor i believe this auction is a FAKE, I think you should stop trying to make money with your co-op bidders!"

*The note is not signed, and the handstyle is common.

The Dwarven Remembrancer's Guild withdraws it's offer of 8000 minas in the belief that this auction is simply a game for the owner to make money, rather than spread knowledge.

Rolen posts a note near this particular one. It reads:

What power do I have over those who make false bids? Absolutely none. Don't go around accusing people with no evidence of wrong doing.

~Rolen

Edit: ((I'd also like to point out that you would have no way of knowing that one of the bids was a bluff. Unless the person who made the bid told you, which you do not hint at, it was not discussed ICly, and thus, your character would not know about it.))

A note is made in reply, a short message on it.

"I've no monetary cache to offer, but I've something that you may take into consideration. Information for information.

My name is Ac'aelu, once apprentice to Salamandra himself.I am a Geomancy, and while not a master, I am nearing the level. I propose an idea of mutual gain. Mutual learning. I suggest that, once I am properly capable to teach my craft to others, I take your book as a learning device, and you take my knowledge as another.

-Ac'aelu Corval"

*Yet another note is pinned to the board, describing the interested buyer*

Hello sir,

My name is Dun Irongut. I am retired merchant and current scholar of Anthos. I travel around with my retired wealth to acquire and study items of interesting repor. I'd be willing to discuss the sale of this item as soon as possible and at the current time, I will suggest a bid of 7000 minas. I look forward to speaking with you, as my family is the only family in Dwarven record to have an affininity and use for what can be drawn out of the void.

A humble scholar,

Dun Irongut

A note has been nailed to the tree.

Thank you all for bidding, but as of now, the current highest bid is ten thousand minas. If you wish to obtain this tome, your bids must be higher than the current highest bid.
