The High-Council I am inviting you to a debate, preferable in the College of Malinor, to discuss recent resentments and problems with government, disagreements, and rise of poverty in area.

If one cannot reason as an intellectual, how can you expand your knowledge? How can you lead Mali?

 

List of things to debate:

-Lack of employment

-Rise of extremism

-Corruption in Council

-Inability to protect citizens

-Crumbling Economy, Culture, and Liberties

-Establishment of a Republic Senate

-Ties to Haelun'or

-Racism in Haelun'or

 

You are allowed to bring up new articles for debate if you wish.

Khel, prince of malinor, has decided that his time is better spent serving the people of malinor. He has deemed this meeting and yourself a waste of his time and unworthy of his presence. 

 

He has also stated that he will be solving these problems while you sit and complain, and has invited you to take action instead of share words. He has also stated that if you find him about, share with him your concerns and he will provide you with the cause of the problem and how he seeks to rectify it. Yet know, it's things like this that obstruct the advancement of Main's people

*Orei is confused whether this darkie knows how to run a city let alone a nation, and is angry due to trying to assist but was shunned. He doesn't think the darkie understands the prior High-Council ignorance to outsiders was the reason of his extremism...

Suggestion for Economic Reform:

National Bank of Malinor

-Fixing the Bank of Malinor, getting rid of the current currency.

-Establish the Orei, paper currency backed by Gold.

-Offer Tax Exemptions for Returning Mali for two pay periods.

-Start a Business loan center to handle loans to returning and current population to help them create business and more jobs, w/ tax exemptions for two pay periods.

-Establishment of Entertainment district and Arena, for Special Events.(not parkour...)

-Let citizens invest in companies and city through a stock system.

-Establishments of Bonds at 100 mina, 500 mina, 1,000 mina w/ 10% interest back after 2 weeks.

-Headed by Chancellor Every 4 Elven months

-6 senators which are voted in every 3 Evlen months

-Lower Council will remain

From his Island Kais sits in his newly furbished home, he walks out to his balcony to see his followers at work, seeing the two ships in his island harbour he smiles knowing his hard labour will work off soon. He recieves a notice about this debate, he sits at his desk and begins writing a letter

 

"Firstly I believe Malinor hasn't been correctly run since the days of Princess Indelwhen. Secondly I believe you must be a little more fierce, to rule a nation you need backbone not to try and make everyone happy. You must make the majority happy as there will be people who are always unsatisfied. Thirdly I believe the Council System would work a little better if it were more how one could say intimidating, one must inspire both awe and fear to rule their people. Lastly if you wish to contact me send a letter to the ship docked next to the Cove.Co warehouse in Abresi, watch out for the ice mess the Renatians haven't cleaned up. Goodbye this has been a good pen written conversation."

After second thought and pressure set on my by my comrades to shut your foolish tongue, I've decided it appropriate to listen to you claims . They're not something new I've not heard nor are they things I've not ignored. I have on my lap plans of my own, yet to successfully cover more ground I've deemed it wise to gather as many points of views possible, even those formulated by a racists and incompetent fools who has never even once graced true elven land, hundreds of years ago. I will make my attendance at this debate regardless.

 

Know that my previous statement was not ignoring the danger this nation is in, as I am well aware of this statement. It was brought forth as my time is valuable, and every moment I spend away from my path is an elven life put to risk

I really do not think the 'ooc group only let friends in' part of this comment was necessary. This is entirely untrue, and I would be glad to discuss any grievances you may have if you feel you are being shunned by this supposed 'ooc clique.'

 

High Princess Titania skims over the note as she lingers over a window of the council chambers. Bobbing her head into a silent nod to herself, she taps the letter with one of her fingers, murmuring quietly to herself.

"...Certainly has the determination, but is plagued by the tongue of a Valah...This debate will reveal if this is false."

 

Her eyes stop just short of the end of the letter, sighing in frustration as she lifts a hand to pinch the bridge of her nose.

"...Why does he ask to debate the racism of Haelun'or? If he has an issue with their culture, then it would make more sense to discuss it with -them- and not us."

 

She purses her lips in frustration as she folds the letter with almost effortless precision, far too many times has she been blamed for the culture of her cousins. Turning to the table, she takes her seat and begins writing a letter, which would be swiftly delivered to the aspiring Mali.

I have personally read over your invitation, and you have sparked my natural curiosity. Assuming that I am free to attend, you may expect me to attend your debate. I would like to make a few recommendations, however. The college of Malinor is under heavy renovation, and I would respectfully advise that you choose an alternate, more suitable location if you are expecting large numbers. I personally offer the High Council chambers for your temporary use, provided I am there. Secondly, I would consider either revising or removing the topic point 'Racism in Haelun'or', as Haelun'or's culture is neither part nor influential to the leadership of Malinor in any way. Please send me a response if you decide to accept my offer regarding the use of the High Council chambers.
