A Bastards' Journey.

The boy sits alone in Abresi, surveying the crowd, twiddling with a small knife in his hand. Many people who pass him eye him suspiciously, mothers pulling their children in closer to them. "Beware of the Urchins" they tell them. "Some of them are savages, will do anything for coin and food".

 

The boy only returns the glare, his pale, eerie eyes following them as they walk. With each step, his wet-lipped grin growing wider. The boy leans back against the wall, staring down at the blade. His mind begins to wander...

 

All his life, the boy didn't know. Know of his true heritage. Who he really descends from. He had grew up as a peasant, living in the Abresi slums. Stepping through the sewer-waste every time he walked out his front door, begging for scraps to survive, being frowned down upon by the high lords and ladies as they passed him by in the streets. He had lived a lowborns life.

 

But then, he was told...

 

Perhaps it was an accident on his mothers' part. Perhaps she wanted him to know. Who his true father was, the reason for his wild and unrul nature. Either way, he'll never find out. As soon as he discovered the truth, he was thrown out onto the streets. No home. Nowhere to go.

 

It was only recently that the youth had heard about the standoff in Herendul between the Flays and Winters. He grins, pocketing his knife. Why most baseborns would be happy with their lot in life, this particular boy had other plans. Ambitions.

 

The boy slowly stands, using the wall behind him for support. He heads off, shoving his way through the vast Abresi crowds. He makes his way out the gate, not even daring to look back to his former home.

 

And so, the story of Darry, going under the alias Darius Flay begins. He heads out to look for the rest of his family, planning to reveal his true heritage as Gladius Flay's bastard son.

 

(( Basically, just a short introduction to my new character Darius "Darry" Flay. I hope to bring some good villain and torture RP around with this character. ))
