Demotheus 651 Share Posted October 30, 2013 A Noose Left Hanging. . . ((Some theme music, perhaps?)) Daniella hums lightly as she walks into the charred tavern in Lenniel which doubles as her home. She holds with her a pristine bottle of white wine. She's smiling, for once. Perhaps things are finally looking up. Something hasn't gone totally wrong for a while, now. She walks behind the steel door dividing the counter from the old tavern part of the building and rushes down the stairs excitedly towards her and Kinra's room. Kinra loves wine. It's not Daniella's cup of tea, but Kinra loves it. And wine is generally what one drinks for celebratory reasons, right? She made sure to get Kinra the highest quality wine she could find. It would be a good night. She pushes her key into the lock on the door to her room and unlocks it. She pushes it open as she talks. "Kinra! I got us some...thing...." She goes pale as she watches Kinra, at possibly the worst timing possible, push off from the bedside and hang herself. The sound of Kinra's neck breaking and the sight of her hanging there, struggling instinctively before her heart ultimately stops replays through Dani's mind over and over again for the next minute. She just stares ahead blankly at the swinging corpse of her lover. She walks to her and picks her up and pulls her free of the noose, laying her down on their bed and crawling up beside her, shaking her shoulder. "Kinra...wake up..." She refused to believe the obvious. Kinra doesn't answer. Dani shakes her head, pinching her arms to the point of drawing blood several times to make sure she's not dreaming. Even then she's sceptical. "K-Kinra..." She slams her fist into her door, cracking the wood along the grain, almost putting her fist through it. The note Kinra left was not enough closure, it left so many questions unanswered. Why was Kinra's life not worth living any more? Why would she leave her like this...everything was going well, she thought. Kinra's son, Henry walks in. He had good news on his mind, until he saw his mother's corpse on the bed and Dani shaking violently beside it, muttering to herself. Trying to believe that Kinra'll come back. Henry steels himself. Now is not the time to cry, to mourn. It will be later. He tries to talk sense into Dani. She nearly breaks her hand against the bedframe as she slams her fist into it repeatedly, refusing to accept this is reality. But Henry's there...it can't be a dream. The monks will never come for Kinra's soul. She's lost to them forever. Henry has lost a mother, a good mother at that. But Dani has lost nearly everything. She had constantly found comfort for the last few years that Kinra was, unlike everything else in her life, a sure thing. That Kinra would not be taken from her, or leave her like everything and everything else ends up doing. Daniella holds Kinra for many hours on the bed, brooding and weeping. Someone must be at fault. Someone caused this. Why would Kinra do this? She closes her eyes from fatigue. Her sobbing has exhausted her. She whispers to Kinra's unhearing ears. "Why can't somebody else hurt for once..." OOC: So Minst46 decided to PK his character Kinra Stark. He didn't want to write it, for whatever reason, and said I could. Sorry for the subpar job. I'm not exactly good at writing things like this. This is from my character, Daniella's, perspective, since she first handedly walked in on her killing herself. Minst you better read this... >=O

gam 386 Share Posted October 30, 2013 Dani would not know of Gamle's celebration, as he lives in Lenfarthing now. He'll be sure to throw a party once he arrives in Leanniel, however.
Bakerismaxamis 122 Share Posted October 30, 2013 Ausar sits on a roof in an undisclosed location. Watching down below as all sorts of people busily pass by on their day to day interactions. His mind temporarily set on one thing that passed his ears while walking through the crowds. The death of an old enemy. Though Ausar wasn't happy for hearing so. As he planned for years to assassinate Kinra, though never finding the right situation or opportunity to do so. Now hearing of her death only frustrates him a bit more. Knowing he'll never get to exact his revenge. He slowly stands on the rooftop as he makes his way to the ledge, leaping down as he takes a handful of vines that have grown into the structure years past as he descends to ground, blending in with the crowds as he goes about his business. ((Will miss Kinra in role playing with Ausar. Kinra and her wrist blades always got the better of Ausar in combat.))

Proddy 2415 Share Posted October 30, 2013 Within the peaceful barony of Schattenburg, Ford Stafyr sits leant against the tree, staring out to where his family manor used to be as he wetstones his greatsword. He sighs lightly. He had heard about Kinras' suicide from Henry, and he didn't even know what to think of it. He had only met Kinra a few times and their encounters weren't really pleasant. Even then, he had heard alot of things about her beforehand, none of which did her much justice. He chuckles to himself slightly. When he was young, he lost his mother. His daughter will never know her mother, and know his friends mourning his mothers loss. The irony of it all was almost frightening to him. He goes to stand, using his greatsword for support. He quickly nods to himself in acknowledgement, and perhaps even to Kinra. For Henry's sake, and maybe even for Dani's sake. He'll mourn her... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, somewhere in the afterlife, Mattheus Stafyr frowns. "Another suicider?" he says with a grunt
Bethykinss 158 Share Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) Beth frowns deeply when she hears of Kinra's passing. She walks into Malinor, head hung low and sits on the grass near the river. She sighs and gazes up at the stars. She begins to speak to the air, imagining Kinra sitting in front of her. "See, this is what happens when you don't wear armor but I guess you did what you did on purpose, huh?" She smirks. "You know, I would have beaten you this time in our hug war but I guess I can wait. I promise, this time you're going to LOOOOSE." Beth sets a rose down onto the empty space in front of her. She stands up with a sad smile. "It's quite unfair, all my friends keep dying.. Never thought you'd be one of them. Until our paths meet again, my dear friend Kinra." She nods before continuing on her way.. Lark 2227 Share Posted October 30, 2013 Four Fingers sits in his cabin, his forehead begins to burn for a moment, then the feeling passes. Disturbed by the event he gets up and parts his hair, looking at his reflection in water, the scar where Kinra shot him in the head seemed to fade a bit. "Well das odd...Sheepbeddah's shot is still 'urtin'. Quiote odd." He shrugs and goes outside to work on a crossbow design that he had on his mind. ((RIP Kinra Stark, Near Murderer of Lark. Thank god for monks >_>))
