  2. The reclusive Lady Anastasie de Provins thought back on the venomous, velvet-clad noblewomen she had met during her childhood within the Aster Hall, a goblet filled with Pruvian Port held tightly within her frail, ghastly hands - one Laurentina Helvets sticking out sorely in the aging Provinois' mind. She recalled vividly too the wild cries of, "Philip the Great," within the throne room of San Luciano, for which she admitted partial responsibility. How foolish she had been, to declare an Emperor great before he even sat his throne; and how mistaken she had proven to be.
  3. Zoya vas Ruthern reminisced upon the Tripartite victory following the Folly of Philip III.
  4. "They will, Josef," replied the notoriously stony Ruthern with a dismissive sigh, quickly scanning the Koeng's call-to-arms. "We have something they do niet. They fight for bloodshed, but we fight for salvation - Godan will see to it that their gilded walls are coated crimson with blood."
  5. Zoya vas Ruthern received a stack of missives from a fellow loyal Haeseni, happily distributing them to her friends (of which the ranks were few).
  6. who is your favorite irp child and why is it anastasie thérèse pruvia
  7. Anastasie Thérèse had found herself particularly invested in politics as of late, and this missive proved not to be an exception. Within the warmly-lit chambers of the Madames de Provins at Aster Hall, the girl sat, sipping on a glass of Pruvian Port, and scrutinized the rhetoric and claims of the de-bearded King of Urguan. She laughed dryly to herself as she marked up the parchment, thinking about how she, a mere teen, had achieved higher mastery of her language than a nation’s sovereign.
  8. Alina of Susa scowled as she scanned the missive, tossing it dismissively into the water below her. “That Peter d’Arkent was always a fool; Auntie Maisie outshone him on his best days.” She commented to her personal stylist Nathaniel of Carrington, who looked wistfully to the now disintegrated parchment. “Oh, my apologies Nathaniel. Do keep rowing, dear!” Exclaimed the Baroness (( @ncarr))
  9. The Baroness Carrington stood beneath a Savoyard banner in the city of San Luciano beside her eldest child, hand outstretched toward the arid breeze as the crimson sun rose steadily over the horizon. "Our sun too will rise, my Dove. I know our Emperor well, he will prevail-- as will Oren." (( @Melpomenne))
  10. The long-ellusive Baroness Carrington received word from a bustling attendant that a certain Ducal couple had been spotted on Almaris. At the interval of nary a moment, the cocoa-haired Basridi shot up from a velvet-lined sofa in her quarters at Carrington. Pacing about the room, the Baroness gnawed on her inner lip. "I must write to them..." She muttered to no one in particular. "I MUST WRITE TO THEM! IT'S BEEN TOO LONG!" The woman was almost childlike in her glee at her dearest friends' return. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anastasie of Provins, knowing naught of the Duke and Duchess, only knew that the home she had known all her life would be home no longer. Several chests, set ajar, lined the walls of her marble-covered chambers, full to the brim with silken gowns and other belongings of the Pruvian beauty. She held her head high, for she would not allow herself to weep.
  11. A maturing Alina Isidora Basrid, normally jovial and carefree, stood solemn and statuesque amidst the grounds of Rosemoor. She gazed out at the expanse of the world, cheeks stained as melancholic roses. "How vast this world is..." She muttered to herself, wrapping her arms around her own body if only to feel warmth once more. "And now I am truly alone in it all." She added, tears welling up over her the dim forest of her eyes - threatening with each passing moment to break loose. The girl knew that the time for tears was long gone; everyone else had managed to stay so strong. And yet... that solitary Basrid, alone amongst family who scarcely knew her name, and cared for it even less, couldn't help but to allow the tears to flow.

Anastasia was born in Providence, the heart of the Holy Orenian Empire, to Pietro and Lisbeta Baranova. Her parents both originated from moderate wealth, and their combined fortunes, as well as Pietro's proclivity for good business, made them extremely wealthy. For the first few years of their marriage, Pietro and Lisbeta struggled to produce an heir. Ana was the first and only living child the two brought into the world together, and the pair was overjoyed-- for the most part. Pietro's disappointment at Anastasia's gender was not something he tried to hide. He did his best to love his daughter as he would a son, but he soon gave up trying and withdrew himself almost entirely from Anastasia's life. Growing up, Anastasia was gifted with a life of privilege-- a life that would never quite make up for the lack of a father figure in her life. Her mother, however, was very present in her life. Lisbeta was a staunchly pious woman of the Canonist faith and instructed her only daughter in the ways of the faith. She had personal tutors to teach her everything from etiquette to reading and writing, but little more. Lisbeta, and especially Pietro, thought it unbecoming of a woman to be instructed in the arts of science and mathematics. Growing up, Ana had many friends-- almost all of them women of considerable wealth, friends of her family's. She was highly sociable and outgoing, often overly so. Lisbeta , who could see no flaw in her daughter's personality, looked past this and never corrected her behavior. This led to Anastasia's overly talkative and self-centered nature.
