I haven’t done much skinning, but for the little bit I have done, if somebody steals it I don’t really care since I’ve never monetized my poor quality skinning abilities.

If you steal skins from good skinners who pay rent using their commission money though, you are an *******, no doubt about that. Always best to ask first before using a random skin you’ve found made by an LOTCer.

Depends on what you mean by stealing. If you’re just ripping the skin yea that’s haram but as a skinner myself I don’t mind it if people remix my skins because that’s the only way you get better – by studying those better than you. It’s how I learned to make skins from scratch, years of remixing and retexturing. After all, there’s only so many designs you can make with an 8x8 pixel head

You gotta be careful with peoples property but then again it’s just pixels, so long as it doesn’t bother anyone-

I did however see a lawsuit over stolen pixels in general, and I tell you it’s unnerving to see what some claim on their pixel-property, whch is considerable when we’re talking about actually paid for stuff-

Like the premium skins for example, to be fair I wouldn’t mind seeing one or two of my own skins floating somewhere, especially irp that situation would be interesting if I meet a look a like with same skin/armor design.

What I would mind however if a skin I made, for a customer, for me or a friend etc. which I’ve got compensated for, just so someone else can grab the skin and go. There has to be a give or take in my book as a skinner.
