  1. FORMATION OF THE CORVID COURT IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2024 THUS UNTO THE WEALD, The Crown Princess of Ravenmire, Anne of Marna, does hereby declare the creation of a Royal Court. Due to the more warlike origins of Ravenmire, and the wartime conflicts of recent memory, we have long gone without such a concept; and the absence of such has been deeply felt. It is a necessity for the people to interact with their peers among the nobility, and to garner rapport with their sovereign. Herein, Assume that all assumable positions are open unless otherwise stated. STRUCTURE OFFICIAL HIERARCHY: ✠ COURT HEAD: GRAND PRINCESS OR CROWN PRINCESS Leads the courts, organizes events, appoints other members of courtly staff. Currently held jointly by HRH Anne, Crown Princess of Ravenmire, and HRH, Alicent, Countess of Fiorelle. ✠ ROYAL HOUSEHOLD: Immediate members of the Royal family may assume courtly duties at the discretion of the Crown. ✠ THE DAPIFER The Dapifer oversees all courtly staff, save for the Grand Household which is managed by the discretion of the Grand Princess, and The Grand Prince’s equivalent Household. Additionally, the Dapifer schedules events such as social seasons and balls with allies and domestic courtiers alike. ✠ GRAND HOUSEHOLD: The Household of the highest ranking member of the Royal family, so far as the ladies are concerned. The Grand Prince has his own household, additionally, to which further documentation on the structure shall be provided at a later date. These ladies are expected to assist their mistress with the utmost diligence, patience, compassion, and care. The current Grand Household serves HRH, Anne of Marna, Crown Princess of Ravenmire. PREMIERE LADY IN WAITING The premiere Lady-in-waiting serves to manage the Royal Household on behalf of Her Highness, including hirings, firings, appointments, and other administrative tasks. She serves as the second in command of the Grand Household. THE LADY SECRETARY The Lady Secretary handles all official and personal correspondences on behalf of Her Highness, as well as managing the schedule of her mistress, including meetings and organizing staff to serve her needs at appropriate times. THE MISTRESS OF THE WARDROBE The Mistress of the Wardrobe handles the attire of Her Highness, including the hiring and oversight of tailors and hairdressers, acquisition of gowns and other attire, (including accessories and cosmetics) and the organization, storage, and care of such. LADIES IN WAITING These ladies, alternatively referred to as “Maids of Honor”, serve as the companions to their mistress. In addition to attending to her, they perform menial tasks at the instruction of any of the above ladies. ✠ PRINCES OF THE BLOOD: Extended members of the Royal Family, or those not residing within the Eastminster Palace. ✠ COURT ALCHEMIST The Court alchemist performs alchemically-minded tasks at the request of the Royal Family or Grand Household members. ✠ COURT PHYSICIAN The personal physician of the Royal family. These individuals are tasked with caring for the medical needs of the Royal family above all, as well as other courtiers when necessary. ✠ WARDS: The future of Ravenmire. Wardships are highly encouraged for each above position’s holder to take on; to secure the knowledge they have shall be passed unto the next generation. Additionally, former wards are oft given precedence when the time comes for a higher position to be filled; based on merit, of course. ✠ VALETS, MAIDS, AND OTHER SERVANTRY: The backbone of the courts. These humble individuals perform daily tasks such as cleaning, preparing food, and performing other small, menial tasks necessary for the daily operations of courtly life. ✠ COURTIERS: The everyday court visitor, one without an occupation or authority within the courts. These individuals are common event-goers, with little insight beyond their attendance herein. For inquiries and appointments, please send a letter to HRH, the Countess of Fiorelle or HRH, The Crown Princess of Ravenmire. Such is the will of the Grand Prince. HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, Anne of Marna, Crown Princess-Consort of Ravenmire, Duchess of Pacazu, Viscountess of Banderas, Baroness of Arenisca, Del’mar, Lady of House Marna HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, Alicent Elena, Princess of Ravenmire, Countess of Fiorelle HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, Alysanna Maya, Princess of Ravenmire

  3. THE FUNERAL OF PRINCE THORIN IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2023 THUS UNTO THE WEALD, IT HAS BEEN A YEAR since the death of Prince Thorin Rostova, loving husband and father of seven: but above all, the pride and joy of Ravenmire. Yet, no amount of time can heal the void his absence has created. It is time to lay him to rest. THE PROCESSION WE SHALL BEGIN: On the steps of the Palace in Earosgrad, where he had been laid to rest temporarily following his demise; so that the public may more easily pay their respects. Those he held dearest shall personally transport him to the Holy See for his funeral proper. We kindly ask that those who never met him or were only his acquaintances proceed to the See in advance. At the See, we shall proceed with traditional Owynist funerary rights, followed by speeches from the bereaved. After this, there shall be an open bar and buffet for those gathered. HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS, Owyn I, Crown Prince of Ravenmire, Defender of Dumacracy, Protector of the Smallfolk, Acting Patriarch of the House Rostova HER HIGHNESS, Alicent Elena, Countess of Fiorelle, Princess of Ravenmire
  4. "Meh... I'd say the church and the crown are more like a married couple." A princess spoke, making an "eh" hand gesture "Sometimes they're happy together, sometime they hate each other's guts! Either way, they're both important and separate entities."
  5. "I'm an aunt now..." Spoke Alicent, the happy father's favorite sister. "It... hasn't really sunk in, yet. Is that normal?" She inquired, peering down to where the babe slept in his cradle. "I don't want to get all weepy again."
  6. "OH MY GOD!" Cried Alicent, the Crown Prince's favorite sister. "I MUST FIND HIM! IMMEDIATELY! WE STILL HAVE TO PLAN PAPA'S FUNERAL!"
  7. "DEATH TO THE HERETICS! JUSTICE FOR PAPA!" Chanted a newly-bloodthirsty Ravenmirian lass.
  8. FASHIONS OF EAROSGRAD IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2022 THUS UNTO THE WEALD, Heretofore is a collection of fashion trends found among women within the Ravenmirian realm. “LET THEM WEAR PINK” -Anne, Duchess of Eredmar MUCH HAS CHANGED OVER THE YEARS: not the least of which being the aesthetics tastes of the Ravenmirian people, which this missive seeks to catalogue. STAPLES OF RAVENMIRIAN ATTIRE: ✠ THE BRAT is a necessity harkened from days in the cold of the North, worn by all. Once made of thick wool and lined with fur, plain in design; these garments are now crafted of the finest silks and linens (for those who can afford them). Oft, they are embroidered. Most popular among these designs is the insignia of the Ravenmirian crest. Another trend is embroidery with thread in metallic hues. ✠ WIDE, VOLUMINOUS SKIRTS were once common in the days of yore, and after an extended break have returned to popularity among the nobility of Earosgrad. A notable favorite of Her Grace, the Duchess of Eredmar; these skirts, supported by an Auvergnian garment dubbed the pannier, allow for a mass of storage within the enlarged pockets they provide, doing away with the need for an exposed purse or satchel that may easily be stolen. While traveling through tight places may seem a hindrance at first glance, this supportive garment is collapsible—at least when empty. Additionally, the style of bodices commonly found in these dresses support correct posture, and has even been purported to alleviate back pain! Pictured: The Duchess and Dowager Duchess of Eredmar donning popular fashions of Earosgrad. ✠ HIGH-HEELED SHOES help soldiers within the cavalry to retain better footing of their saddles’ stirrups. For women, they prevent tripping on the voluminous lengths of their skirts. Additionally, many find the clicking of heeled shoes upon hardwood flooring to sound more appealing than that of flat-heeled shoes. ✠ TRAINS are detachable, though worn more often than not–and pinned up for all activities save for formal, courtly events. This has inspired women to don dresses with embroidered or lace hems, as they are displayed when the trains are pinned. ✠ HAIRSTYLES range from simple buns to elaborate updos, braids, plaits and other coiffures. Hair is worn long, allowing for more voluminous hairstyling. Such is the will of the Grand Prince. HIS HIGHNESS, Earoslav I, Grand Prince of Ravenmire, Defender of Dumacracy, Protector of the Smallfolk, Grand Salt Man and Patriarch of the House Rostova HER GRACE, Anne, Duchess of Eredmar, Princess of Ravenmire HER GRACE, Isabel, Dowager Duchess of Eredmar, Princess of Ravenmire HER HIGHNESS, Alicent Elena, Princess of Ravenmire
  9. [!] A reply to the Duchess of Sunholdt's repy! To Her "Grace", You bear a title dating back to the days or Oren, the empire you claim to fight against, and yet you prove yourself as volatile as your ilk from the aspirant tsardom of haense that spawned you. I did not speak on the cowardice of the Balianese, but of the Haeseni, and furthermore the messages of my brother and I were not to cause fear or harm, but to protect our blood, which you, regrettably, are amongst. Balian is fighting an uphill battle upon which a boulder is rolling ever closer. Forgive us for not wishing to see you crushed. To my knowledge, almost every man captured from the realms of the covenant were spared--indeed, the greatest "punishment" they faced was an hour or two in the "Shake and Bake", which I believe is some sort of amusement ride that I myself desperately yearn to visit. Yet when a good Canonist Prince was captured, he is executed. You speak of wandering children? I am that child. I wandered at first because I was in love with the world around me, now it is to escape the bone-deep nausea and pain of grief. Not only my own, but my poor mother's. My brothers'. My sisters'. Seeing as you have betrayed your GOD and your own kin in such haste, I would not expect you to understand loyalty. You speak of betrayal? I have felt the knife of betrayal twist within my back with every day my own godfather, King John, along with you and your kin, continue to stand with the anathema. Furthermore, I am a grieving girl of thirteen and you are a bitter old hag attempting to admonish me for the crime of missing my father and seeking to protect my own.
  10. "D'you really expect them to think rationally enough to see the light?" She inquired of her brother. "I cannot afford the luxury of that hope. Not anymore."
  11. Upon hearing word of what had transpired, Alicent, daughter of the dearly-departed prince Thorin, began to weep upon the steps of her father's pyre. Wiping her dripping nose, the girl cried out a prayer in the dead of night: "Mister Raguel! Please, please..." Her voice drifted to nothingness as she cried herself to sleep once more.
  12. ✧⥼─────────────────────⥽ ⚜ ⥼─────────────────────⥽✧ ISSUED BY THE BEREAVED PRINCESS ALICE IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2022 ✧⥼─────────────────────⥽ ⚜ ⥼─────────────────────⥽✧ TO THE MEMBERS OF THE UNHOLY COVENANT, HEAR MY WORDS. The “holier-than-thou” Haeseni have slain PRINCE THORIN, Heir to the throne of Ravenmire. More importantly, my late father. This mercilessness shall be remembered for a thousand years onwards, as there was never a more gentle or loyal prince born unto the lands of Aevos. He did not want this war, and fought to ensure peace at every opportunity. Despite this, he was beheaded at the hands of the Haeseni. To the people of Aevos, let me simply say that we the people of Ravenmire shall remember this, and we implore you to do the same. Remember, in addition to this tragedy, they are: cowards and vipers, who are not incapable of saving their own, but simply refuse to. They are the true imperialists they say we, the devout followers of the Church are. The Haeseni are brutes who feast on most unholy chaos, and merciless beasts who attack and crush whomever they deem weak, as noted in a missive which I have appended for your reading pleasure. Worst of all, they have denied my father a proper Owynist burial by keeping his head–I believe as some sort of gruesome trophy. As it appears the Haeseni seem to revel in the pain and misery they cause, allow me to describe the scene of Earosburg in the aftermath of my father’s death: mourners wept and sobbed in the streets. Men rushed to prepare their weapons and horses for vengeance. My own vomit stained the cobblestones, due to how intensely I wept. It appeared even GOD was weeping, given the torrential downpour that began some minutes later. In the palace, meanwhile, my mother screamed all night long, her wailing so loud that at least one mirror in her apartment shattered, though I have no doubt more probably met the same fate. A number of peers accompanied her; poorly attempting to soothe her as I and my companions were ushered away. Last of all, to those in Balian I once loved from afar as kinsmen, specifically the Ducal house of d’Arkent and my so-called “uncle” John: You know as well as I do that this is a lost cause. I can only hope you wake up to the lies before it is too late: whether you be crushed by the Church for heresy, consumed by the aspirant tsardom, or consumed by your own guilt and stupidity (or your own obstinance). If the death of my father does not serve as a wake-up call, I do not know what will. ✧⥼─────────────────────⥽ ⚜ ⥼─────────────────────⥽✧ HER HIGHNESS, Alicent Elena,
  13. Tears stained the cheeks of Alicent—Thorin’s daughter and John’s goddaughter—as she penned her own thoughts on the matter.
  14. Alicent's wails haunted the city of Earosburg through the following nights, her weeping echoing the sentiments of the Ravenmirian people as they mourned for their beloved prince.
  15. A Ravenmirian princess beamed--and then frowned, having misread 'cinctus' as 'circus'; a massive disappointment.

  18. Fiorenza wept for her dear fratellino long into the night, and for many following...
  19. Alicent chuckled. "This makes it sound like Celia'nor is a middle aged man trying to one up his ex wife--and get custody of the kids, just to prove he's 'right'."
  20. ON COWARDICE The other Day or so, A handful of men were captured from Petra and taken to Grense. Now, as for myself, lacking the age or stature to participate in combat; arrived late enough only to join in on the post-combat celebrations while those gathered anticipated a rescue. However, when I did arrive, I found THE MOST HOLY RALLY taking pity on two of the men captured, for their homelands and their allies had forsaken them: left them for dead. Treachery is a crime most foul, and treachery motivated by cowardice even more so. As for the other, he was taken into the Holy See for repentance, if I am remembering correctly. Indeed, not long after my arrival did I hear a soldier cheer: “Haense didn’t even ring their damn bell!” Truly an embarrassment for that nation which claims itself to be so high-and-mighty. I have heard nothing said on either side regarding this lack of action, so despite my youth I find myself compelled to spread the word. To those of the Covenant, remember: You have forsaken your GOD for these people. Alicent Elena, Princess of Ravenmire
  21. "You know things are getting bad when the pagans have more honor than so-called "canonists.--Or good, for us at least." A Ravenmirian girl remarked from afar.
  22. Alicent, a Princess of Ravenmire, rolled her eyes. “They yap an awful lot for a band of cowards who won’t even attempt to rescue their own.”
