  1. The Funeral of The Count Issued by the HOUSE OF LUDOVAR On this 3rd of Tov ag Yermey of 426 E.S. VA BIRODEO HERZENAV AG ELDERVIK, It is with a heavy heart, that the Baroness of Julisburg and her family announce the death of The Right Honourable, Johann Fredrick Ludovar, Count of Otistadt and its titles. It is well known that the Count has been sick for many years, and we hope that he passed without suffering. He drew his final breaths in his bed at Otistadt surrounded by many members of his family, and we pray for his safe ascent to the Seven Skies. The Office of the High Justiciar now lies absent, but the Count had these words for his wards: "Please tell my wards I am proud of them, tell them I entrust the office I worked so hard on to them, I anticipate great things to come and hope they will take my office to new heights." The House of Ludovar accordingly introduces the new Countess of Otistadt, Adele Emma Ludovar, to take over her father’s responsibilities. To honour the Count in this period of nation-wide mourning in regard to the Late King Sigismund III, his family have decided to hold a small funeral in Otistadt on the 6th of Joma ag Umund where any wishing to pay respects to him are welcome to attend. At this time, it is requested that the privacy of the Count’s loved ones can be respected so that they may mourn. Thank you. SIGNED, The Right Honourable, Adele Emma Ludovar, Countess of Otistadt, Viscountess of Sezwesk, Baroness of Juliksburg, Lady of Kazstadt, Jovenaar of Hanseti-Ruska The Right Honourable, Matyas Isaak Ludovar née Bihar, Count-Consort of Otistadt, Viscount-Consort of Sezwesk, Baron-Consort of Juliksburg, Lord-Consort of Kazstadt, Lord of Alban, Jovenaar of Hanseti-Ruska Her Serene Highness, Amicia Valerie de Joannes née Ludovar, Princess-Consort of Sedan, Countess-Consort of Louisville, Haverlock and Döbern, Viscountess-Consort of Fauconberg, Baroness-Consort of Avoria and Pyrmont
  2. Adele Ludovar's sobs now fall on deaf ears as she places her head on her Father's unmoving chest for comfort. He had lain in his bed, and passed peacefully surrounded by family, and yet it felt as though the pain which he endured every day had only passed onto her as her chest felt hollow and painful as though sapping away her strength. She should feel joyful; elated about the news she had received from Theodosya earlier, and yet she could not. Although her belly will soon swell with new life, her father's body lies lifeless. She had squeezed his hand so slightly, afraid that if she pushed to hard that he could collapse right there as the pair sat outside the noble apartments together, and a smile tugs at Adele's features as she brims with excitement to tell him! "Nie," She speaks, "But she asked me a couple of questions, and we think that yam pregnant." She peers at him hopefully for his reaction, but the aged Count could only smile weakly. "Oh!" Came his hoarse voice, "That is great... Mea dear... Children are the greatest gift one can get..." His voice grew weaker and weaker as her continued to speak, and when Adele thought back on his reaction all that time ago to learning of Amicia's first pregnancy, it wilted her spirit somewhat even though she understood the reason why he couldn't be as excited. She called the servants to remove his body and prepare it for burial, but she didn't do that as herself. She was no longer Adele Emma, and she stared; dissociated, at Johann's body - the Count's body - she didn't think she ever could be. Many years ago, when the Twins were still young, not soon after Johann had permitted Adele to leave the keep and roam the streets of Karosgrad had her grandfather, Robert, passed away. Amicia was different before Robert was gone. She had a love of life, an infectious laugh, and she would always get into trouble. But not anymore... She hardened, seemingly trying to hide all of her imperfections so that she could stand strong and hold her siblings together. And Adele was no different now as she felt her past slip away. None of her children would ever know their grandfather, and how wonderful he was; the most amazing parent in the world. And yes, there were times where she despised him, but she had always known deep down that he was trying to protect her from the pain of life. And now he could no longer protect her. She was supposed to protect everyone else. It was her job now. Johann had always called them; Adele and Amicia, his treasures. His dearest darlings, the things closest to his now-cold dead heart, and the things that motivated him through everything: His Treasures. But what was treasure worth if you lost it? Or rather, if it lost you?
  3. Hospital of St. Amyas Clinic of Hanseti-Ruska OFFICE; The Office of the Surgeon General, CURRENT PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS; The Surgeon General serves as the Head Medic of Hanseti-Ruska, and is charged with running the Hospital of Saint Amyas. This involves leading the training and lesson sessions of the Hospital’s apprentices, treating a large variety of patients with utmost care and measure, oathing trained and tested apprentices with the Oath of Good Faith, maintaining connections with foreign medics and the AMC, issuing payment to Hospital staff, and managing the Hospital’s paperwork along with all of its projects. SIGNED, Her Ladyship, Adrianna Irene Darkwood née Barclay, Surgeon General of Hanseti-Ruska
  4. Lady Death's Courier was there to greet Him when he ascends, stood stalwart behind his friends and family to observe from the shadows - if shadows even exist in the Seven Skies - and when his aged face appears it prompts the Dame to wonder where her letter to him lies after all those years. Her face darkens for a moment, though she breathes a quiet sigh of relief that he had made it so far after she left, and her lips begin to move in memory; echoing the words written long ago. "...Lady Death is such a cruel mistress. She takes her pickings of those most undeserving and stamps upon them beneath her high-heeled boot..." Her wizened eyes glance down to the plane below and spot the congregation of knights within the Throne Room, and it reminds her of another noble death. "And you kneeled before Ser Cedric's body, as I have done so many times before you since that day, and as Reinhardt does at this moment..." She reflects, then, as she watches Him greet his family and Petra, the girl who Lynette had watched grow up and grow old and die before her time. "A circlet upon the brow, dark Barbanov hair, bright expensive Royal garb... Seeing Royalty calls firmly upon the soul of a man. The soul of a Knight. You would die to scrounge a smile onto their face." "You did it," She whispers then to herself, smiling at Him and all he's accomplished. "You made it." And all of the hours she guarded Him, watched Him, observed, protected, defended, aided, bowed, knelt, swore to. It was all worth it. Only then do her eyes glance down to the material plane again, specifically landing on The Wall @ReveredOwl. "...And the curse of the Meyster continues." Meanwhile, Adrianna Darkwood reflects on her work as papers pile higher and higher on her desk ~ this time they are the Koeng's morgue reports, most principally. She buries her head into the parchment depicting diagrams and writing and all sorts of Physician's exams. "Should Ich have-" She groans, though chiefly that overwhelming empty feeling that comes after losing a patient rests in the center of her chest - between her ribcage. "Maybe I-Ich should have taken ein longer look that first time.. Maybe surgery w-wast ein option und Ich didn't see it? Gotte.." And her forehead hits the desk again. "Ich thought du had more time, König, I'm so sorry..." And poor Emma... What would she even do now? He was everything to her- "Und Ich couldn't give him more time.." Even though she worked tirelessly - often without break - to tend to the ailing King in his last month or so, nothing she did had seemed to work. All she could do was lessen the pain, and even then it was often ineffective. Never had a patient been so... Hopeful that she could heal them, and yet nothing worked. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
  5. Adrianna Darkwood, Surgeon General of Haense and the closest of many personal physicians tending him, works tirelessly throughout the days and nights to keep the King comfortable and as healthy as possible. Although all may be futile.
  6. Dame Lynette Mendez smiles down sympathetically upon her dearest Friend of all. "Take it easy, brother," She advises him gently, "Though don't take too long, the boys and I are running out of booze. You'll miss out if you wait around too much longer. Take care." Is the last she says before directing her attention to other matters - namely the deceased Fionn Castaway's ongoing game of carrion-pong.
  7. most notable rp experience or event? also how's it feel to somehow be a boomer
  8. "I'm sorry, Schwester..." Murmurs Adrianna Darkwood as she remembers her much younger years. "Nein one could protect dein Bruder, nicht even mich." The Surgeon General glances down mournfully, sighing to herself. "Ich miss du so, Maya." She then looks back in fatigue to her stacks of paperwork that she has to get done...
  9. Adele Ludovar smiles in relief as their wedding invitations are sent to all of her friends. "Finally," She heaves in fatigue. "It's been a long road... Ea just hope everyone will be as happy as ea am."
  10. Adrianna Darkwood neé Barclay has been thoroughly numbed by the pain of death already, and thus hears of the news of her younger cousin's death with a coldness to her. "Ein parent should never have to bury their child." She murmurs quietly, drooped and narrowed eyes drifting across the parchment in her hands as she sits at her desk in the Hospital. "Ich learnt that the hard way. Ich am sorry, Spritzen," She thinks of Johann. "This must be hard fur du."
  11. Hospital of St. Amyas Report to the Royal Duma IN RESPONSE to Alderwoman Erika Barclay’s ‘Letter to the Royal Duma on Aulic Councilors’ the Hospital of St. Amyas finds it fit to respond as per the wishes detailed in the letter. We also appreciate the inclusion and agree that the Hospital’s policies should be transparent to outsiders, in the interests of good health, even if it does not occupy an Aulic office. OFFICE; The Office of the Surgeon General, CURRENT PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS; The Surgeon General serves as the Head Medic of Hanseti-Ruska, and is charged with running the Hospital of Saint Amyas. REFORMS MADE DURING THE CURRENT TENURE; During my tenure, I have continued the good work of now-Koenas Emma Karenina by continuing to practice her curriculum and teaching it to apprentices. I have instituted in my Revisions For the Hospital of St. Amyas the new specialisations which physicians may take up including: Herbalist, Alchemist, Combat Medic, Midwife, Family Nurse, Therapist. One of my earliest reforms was the addition of biyearly pay issued to working Hospital Staff courtesy of the Ludovar Foundation. I have also, with the assistance of Lady Erika Barclay, rewritten the outdated Hospital of St. Amyas Code of Conduct. I have begun the process of attempting to pass bills through the Royal Duma advocating for the rights of Haeseni Medics and the conditions under which they must work. And recently, I have connected with and been one of the founding members of the Almaris Medical Community, an institution devised to regulate practicing medics and prevent medical malpractice throughout the continent; led by the Head Medics from each respective nation. FUTURE PLANS OR GOALS FOR THE OFFICE; The Hospital intends to recruit more apprentices in the coming years, and I am beginning to train my replacement so that I may soon retire. I still wish to pass legislature through the Royal Duma regulating medics in Haense and decreeing specifically what their rights entail to ensure no unfortunate legal consequences for unknowing medics at later dates. I also still wish to issue official AMC licenses to all current Physicians, and apprentices. This should aid the AMC in its work and I wish to continue furthering my relationship with foreign medics, possibly to send hospital staff on expeditions abroad where they can gather a larger breadth of teaching, practical experience treating more patients, and assist in areas of the continent where medics may be lacking. SIGNED, Her Ladyship, Adrianna Irene Darkwood née Barclay, Surgeon General of Hanseti-Ruska
  12. Adele Ludovar beams as she is handed a personal invite by a House Baruch servant. "Oh, Little Bo-Bo is finally tying the knot!" She squeals, "...Took him long enough."
  13. Dame Lynette 'The Resolute' stands tall before the dais - the crowd of friends and family forming that of a personalised tableau for Sigismund to see. She may be old and greyed, but nothing prevents her from her duty, and she soon finds herself in guarding posture; backed up against the pillars between the entrance archway into the court room. Nevertheless, a smile is set on her wrinkled features as she watches him. "You have come so far, my Liege, but you deserve to rest." She remarks at merely a whisper as the illusions of the dead whistle away into the night. Adrianna Darkwood sits holed up in her office, paperwork covering the entire large desk and large portions of the floor. Reports of patient treatment, her new policies, her rewriting of the new policies, AMC papers, bills to pay, correspondence, and at the bottom of it all there are a few papers detailing her conversation with Sigismund himself - she keeps a private record of all treatment. As she comes across these couple of papers, she grimaces sorrowfully... "Ich wish..." She murmurs to herself in her sleeplessness, "Ich wish there wast more Ich could do fur du, Konig.... I'm sorry." She reflects on their conversation, remembering the tears she prompted him to spill when faced by his own death, and then her tired eyes glance up. They flicker over to a glass filled with water, and land on the wilting red petals of the rose which he gifted to her upon the conclusion.
  14. Adele Ludovar smiles brightly as the missive reaches her by servant. "Oh, this is wonderful-!" She gasps, though her smile becomes slightly pained as visiting her new nephew crosses into her mind. "E-ea mean, Sedan is a long way away, but this is wonderful!"
  15. Adrianna Darkwood nods her head as she is passed the finally published missive by a servant. "Ja, hopefully we have brought about the birth of ein new und better age of medicine?" She muses, pasting the missive onto the walls of Hospital of St. Amyas, next to her recently written Code of Conduct.
  16. Dame Lynette Mendez looks up exhaustively from her bottle of carrion as Marie enters the Seven Skies. She smiles softly when she sees her; pride behind the eyes. "Hey kid." She greets the Duchess, outstretching a bottle and a book for her. "Finally did it, huh?" "A noble death for a noble Knight." The Dame remarks. Meanwhile, Adele Ludovar's eyes fill with surprised tears as the missive is published declaring her Aunt's death. "Aedymamej...?" She whispers quietly as her brows furrow in worry and sorrow. Her Aunt was supposed to be invincible - this piece of parchment could surely not be true...! At that, her breath catches in her throat. "Papej-!" The young Baroness gasps with widened eyes as she thinks of her father's mental state. She throws the missive down on the floor, where it lies wet in a pile of Haeseni snow, as she rushes off to her father's office.
  17. Adrianna Darkwood, Surgeon General of Haense gives a glum but heartfelt smile as she reads the missive. "Ich am aging so fast." She mumbles sourly, "Just last month did Ich deliver Klara, it must have been... "

  19. Adele Emma Ludovar clutches the publication tightly as soon as she receives it, searching for the poem she requested, wide eyes brushing over the parchment before sinking in on one specific poem which she recites to herself over and over ...
  20. "Ea disagree," notes Adele Emma Ludovar, though as she reflects on her own shut-in childhood she empathises with Maya's position. "Mea childhood may have been robbed of me by sickness, but at least once Ea was old enough to escape the cold, mea papej had time to entertain mea childish thoughts."
  21. Adele Emma Ludovar hums the tune of her favourite song in satisfaction as she reads through case studies and continues her background scheming efforts ...
  22. Adele Emma Ludovar smiles with bright pride as she reads the invitation sent to her family, wiping away the happy tears staining her cheeks for her friend's marriage. Though he tearful joy is swiftly snuffed out and replaced with wide eyes when she notices that both Matyas and Angelika were personally invited, in her mind it being one or the other - not both.
  23. "Spasiba Godani," Utters Adele Emma Ludovar in thanks for a document finally defining the rules and establishing further transparency of how the Courts actually work.
