  1. [!] This note would be posted all around the realm of Aevos - especially around the forests [!] | Forest Dwarves - Come Home | To all those Forest Dwarves hidden amongst the woods, For many years our folk have been spread widely across the realm - Hiding from the hate of the blood age. The depths of the forest provide us safety and comfort, though just as well they may hide us from our kin… and from the dangers of the realm we inhabit. Now, the blood age is over, and all dwed must find strength in each other. It is for these reasons that centuries ago the Paragon Bjor Cottonwood chose to answer Anbella’s call - and create a home for all those Forest Dwarves who would venture to the lands of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Our village has recently been rebuilt, a beautiful jewel amongst the forests of the Highlands - Hefrumm. I call to each of you to leave the safety of your burrows amongst the roots - Find your way home to the land of Forest Dwarves, and live amongst your kin. Your skills in hunting, carving - Your ability to live from the land, to hunt, to carve, and your understanding of Anbella’s natural realm will be invaluable… and very well may serve to protect us all in the uncertain future to come. With The Harrower and Azdromoth’s war drums beating louder than they ever have.. It’s time for our folk to be together - to face what dangers lie on the horizon. Hefrumm is a place for all forest dwarves to have a say in their place in the realm. Our folk know that it is only together that we can thrive - and so our village is one of equal places for all our kin. In Hefrumm, your voice will be equal amongst the Folk’s Council - and never shall you feel separated from the forests that you love - that you call home. The village is located outside the capital of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan - along the main road. Dwed of Aevos’ forests… find your way home. 2. @SimplySeoActually gotta hit them with the flying backflipping pommel throw of course.
  3. @JihnynyAgain - that is referring to a longer distance race - at least 100m - If you're running 100m in a sword fight, you're running away, not fighting. I would agree that over a longer distance the little bit of extra weight would slow you down. But i'm referring to the actual fight. And these changes would apply almost exclusively to the actual fighting emotes - considering turning tail and running away would only lead to a mechanical chase anyways.
  4. I'm not sure if you guys have watched many videos where people demonstrate wearing full plate armor, but the reality is that you are just not really any slower when wearing it (if you have trained to wear it of course.) It's a myth that wearing plate armor makes someone sluggish and slow - And it likely would have not been worn as widely as it was in the past if it WAS making people that slow. Perhaps over long distances one might be slowed down by their armor - but to think that it would make someone slower in a combat situation is just a pure myth.
  5. Completion of the new Village! For too long the citizens of Hefrumm have lived, cramped upon the cliffs of Urguan’s Capital city. The freedom of the forests and of open lands escape us no longer - however. The creation of our new village is complete! After many years of work by construction crews and druidic magics, we finally may find ourselves at home in our new lands! Some small construction projects remain, along with some work to nurture the forest, but the village is now open! Citizens of Hefrumm, it is time to travel the short distance to the east to choose our new homes in the village. Taxes will be suspended until most of our folk have been settled into their homes - and the new document is created. Seek out myself or Margaid’Dorn, if any questions arise as to where our new home is located, or otherwise. 6. Tuzic's eyes widen as he reads some of the ideas put forward in the missive "Seems Ogradhad asks more of meh then..." He says to himself, walking up the stairs to his desk to write.
  7. Tuzic inspects the missive and shakes his head "Nah surprise, misrepresented by me kin once again..." Tuzic sighs "Did not feel tha need te write how King Grelu agreed that Thromdrick never taught Lurdoic of the Brathmordakin as he taught him of dangerous rituals.... never even explainin' tha passage of dwed to Khaz'A'Dentrumm..." Tuzic walks off from the notice board "Seems some dwed wish t'is kingdom's doom... Ah onleh 'ope Grelu might avert et..." He mutters to himself as he went about his duties.
  8. [!] The missive would be carried by bird to all those of Da Kirkja Dverga, and posted around the Grand Kingdom of Urguan Da Kirkja Dverga certainly may help guide our views as dwed upon magics in this dangerous realm that we inhabit. Though some of the views espoused within its latest statements make it clear that The Seers of Hefrumm must show Ogradhad their praise, and remind our kin of the history of our folk. Chiefly, the matter of Druidism. Hefrumm has long held Paragon Bjor Cottonwood in reverence, considered a dwed who honored Anbella’s teachings above all else in his life, and the founder of the collective of Hefrumm. Bjor was, of course, a druid himself - known widely across the realm as The Carrot Druid. Bjor knew, as our folk do now, that the Aspects are simply servants and creations of Anbella, the Hearth Mother. Such beings pass down the magics of nature bestowed upon the descendants by our Beloved, The Brathmordakin of nature… and of life. Let it be known that such druidic magics, of connection to nature, of healing, growth and connection to Anbella’s natural realms, are held highly in the minds and hearts of Hefrumm’s folk; And through the exalted Paragon Bjor Cottonwood, they are within Da Kirkja Dverga as well. As the most recent Kirkja Dverga writings teach, magics of the realm are meant to serve the will of the Brathmordakin. In druidism, dwarves must speak no oath to the Aspects themselves - and Rightly, should not hesitate in their worship of Anbella The Hearth Mother. I, Tuzic, will attend the next meeting to discuss such, and to explain the long-held beliefs of the forest dwarves of Hefrumm and many others. May Ogradhad shine upon all dwed - as we discover the right path for our kin. 9. [!] A Missive would be sent to all citizens of Hefrumm, delivered by bird. Final Construction! The time has come for Hefrumm’s new village grounds to finish its construction! The construction teams along with our druid friends have made much progress, and soon will come to completion. To complete the last phase of construction, resources must be gathered for the building. Donation chests for building material will be placed near the front gate, I call upon you all to help how you can in building our great home! 10. [!] A letter would be posted around Urguan and Hefrumm, and sent by bird to others! With a heavy heart, I must announce the passing of Kierd, and Crera Mossborn. Both were taken from this realm far too early due to the khorvadic actions of Lurdoic Irongut. While our hearts may burn for justice… The guidance of Kierd and Crera’s souls to Khaz’A’dentrumm comes first. The Seers of Hefrumm will guide the burial of these two honored dwed - Calling upon Dungrimm to guide their spirits to the Great Auction… and into the halls of their patrons. All dwed who knew the two we have lost, as friends or as family, are welcome to attend. May we all hold them in our memory, and let us honor them in their passing to the Brathmordakin. Tuzic the Ember High Chief of Hefrumm, Chief of the Mossborn OOC:
  11. "Nah..." Tuzic said as he read her letter... Tears drip from the forest dwarf's face onto the page. "Not ye too..." He sets the note off to the side, and just stares off into Hefrumm... He'd lost too much in the last year... The acts that led to this replay in Tuzic's mind on a loop - It was time to get some answers.
  12. Tuzic shed a tear at the news of what had happened... He mourned the loss of Kierd - and now Lurdoic joined him. The forest dwarf had tried his best... tried his best to show Lurdoic his compassion... to show him that the Brathmordakin could forgive more than he might understand. But no. It seems Lurdoic had set his mind on losing his soul to the void long before... Tuzic wipes the tears from his eyes then, and begins his worship to Ogradhad...
  13. Tuzic was broken as whispers spread of Kierd’s killing… He set off to find his kin… He’d get his answers.
  14. This is a personal RP post - Do not metagame Anbella's Aspects Call The nightmares came for Tuzic, like a flood. Each night was another terror, one night a voidal tear would explode and create a hollow where Hefrumm once stood. In another a voidal horror would rampage through the village. One thing remained the same though - Each time, a woman’s voice would call to him in the end, a beautiful voice and… a timeless one - “Harath, thas kadan” before a sea of green mists was cast forth, healing all. Druidic magics. Perhaps his own fears and desires worked in his mind to guide him… Or perhaps Anbella and her Aspects had left another omen for him? Once they’d come, the dreams seemed ceaseless - spurring the Forest Dwarf to action. He sought Nemeas guidance and in some time his path seemed clear. By his own hand his affection was locked behind bolt and chain. His connection to the void cultivated over more than fifty years?… Vanished. Tuzic only knew one thing for sure, ultimate power laid in the Brathmordakin - Who was he to dismiss what might be guidance from Anbella herself? The pious dwedmar would give everything to please those Brathmordakin to whom he’d dedicated his life. Dedicancy brought relief… though the dreams didn’t stop. Tuzic’s mind raced with the images of his kin… A voice he felt to be The Carrot Druid comforted him… Beorn Cottonwood stirred the hearts of forest dwarves in gathering… Old Knud rode his great snail, waving down to him… Celeste’Tol brewed a new mead for all of Hefrumm… Below it all a trio of whispers would come in unison, giving him pause - but there was only one way forward now.
  15. "Yemekar's blessin' on ye Grelu." Tuzic says with a smile as he reads the news "May ye remind tha kingdom o' Anbella's grace."
  16. "Ah dwed weh can all ralleh behind" Tuzic says, relief in his voice "Yemekar guide ye, Grelu." He rolls up the missive and stuffs it in his pack, before returning to his worship.
  17. [!] A scroll bearing the sigil of the Mossborn is carried by bird to all those who call themselves the friends and family of Garedyn the Emerald. The Emerald's Tomb Garedyn the Emerald, first forest dwarf Grand King of Urguan, has been laid to rest. His wishes were laid out in his will, and as such the Seers of Hefrumm made sure to follow them closely. Through my own hand, his armor has been recreated in detail at his request, and buried in his stead in the ruins of Dy Anul Doon. Our hearts burn, longing for his return - but alas our king would have wished for us to continue the legacy he has left us, to show Hefrumm and Urguan to glory together. And as it was in his life, Garedyn's funeral was followed closely the Brathmordakin - Ogradhad saw fit to reveal a grand mystery even as we said goodbye to our beloved king. Long had Garedyn spoken to me of our ancestors' relation to this ancient keep, and in his passing now we find he was correct... The sigil of the Mossborn was shown to us by The Sage King himself, revealed upon the stone of the keep where Garedyn was buried. With this sign, we can all rest knowing that Garedyn's life has been honored with his burial amongst the land of our ancestors that strode these lands before us ; and in his memory I swear as High Chieftan of Hefrumm and Chief of the Mossborn, that these ruins will be explored, and that the memories of our kin shall never fade into the annals of time. Brathmordakin guide our beloved Garedyn - guide us all. Narvok oz Garedyn Narvok oz Hefrumm Tuzic the Ember, High Chief of Hefrumm, Chief of the Mossborn, Seer of Hefrumm
  18. "Few honored tha Brath as ye 'ave kin." Tuzic says with a nod "Weh will honor ye."
  19. Tuzic shakes his head as he reads the document... It wasn't something he ever wished to read. "Ye blasted dwed... come back..." He sighs, and begins writing to the Mossborn. Perhaps despite his doubts... it was time for closure.
  20. Tuzic was incensed - like a madman the Forest Dwarf raved in denial over Garedyn's death. "NO" He shouted into the halls of the now empty tavern as he scrawled an ancient forest text into the stone walls "SHOW MEH" he cried, calling out to the Brathmordakin in his thick accent. Though the vision he sought didn't come to him.... the smoke of the ancient Seer herbs hung in the air - along with the silence. As if he was possessed - Tuzic scrawled away in pursuit of the gods, marking his make-shift place of worship from wall to wall. Soon though he grew frustrated - he smashed his fist into the stone walls, and blood dripped onto the ceremonial robes he had taken to wearing. "Nothing??..." - "Nothing?..." he said, trailing off. The silence took over again as the herbs burned and Tuzic's hopes of a vision faded. Was this it? The closest he had to a brother in Hefrumm... gone? He couldn't let himself believe that... "Weh 'ad so much work to do..." Tuzic turned back toward the entrance then, meaning to leave. He could see nothing in the tavern, the smoke of the Seer Herbs had grown thick and one could only see a few feet ahead. But then... in the smoke Tuzic saw a shadowy figure... It approached the Forest Dwarf in the haze, and he stood to meet it. As it grew closer... so did the smoke thicken obscuring the blank black face of the being. It leaned in... and whispered to him. He awoke then in the tavern... the Seer Herbs were not burning - in fact they must have been out for hours. Tuzic's stomach growled loudly as a twinge of pain shot through it "How long have ah been 'ere?" Tuzic thought in his head. And then he remembered the words of the figure... He stood and bolted to grab his equipment under wobbly legs - and soon he was gone, running out the front gates of Urguan.
  21. "It can't beh..." Tuzic whispers to himself in denial...
  22. Seeing As One [!] A note would be carried by bird to all citizens of Hefrumm, and to close friends of the village. Forest Dwedmar, and friends of Hefrumm - I take pride knowing our blades have joined the Coalition in striking down the Khorvadic forces of Veletz in the battle of Hippo’s Gorge. We will celebrate the elimination of the corrupted state in time, though I write to you now with more. A vision of Anbella’s grace - a warning to our kin. For ten days and nights I sat in worship in my chambers before a clear vision was granted to me… The Hearth Mother showed me what I can only believe is the beautiful forests of our new lands - though they were not right. One after the other… I sat in fear as I heard the voices of our village, my friends and family, called out in horror. A darkness fell upon the sky and trees and before my very eyes the sun was blotted out by the seat of the Brathmordakin's power - the moon, and Khaz’A’Dentrumm. An ancient omen related to the new lands cannot be ignored, and with you all involved in her riddles... I call upon those of the village and of the Seer’s Council to join me in receiving another vision from our Lady Anbella, perhaps in her generosity we will be granted further guidance. We will meet within the year, and I shall guide those willing to receive such a blessing. Seek me out with your questions. 23. The crunching sound under his feet brings Tuzic to his senses - the forest dwarf stops, and takes in his surroundings… A thick pine forest extends out in every direction, and shadows are cast throughout the environment as the midday sun struggles to peek through the branches. He looks down, and sees the source of the sound - the forest floor was strewn with thick brush and ferns, along with thriving mosses that blanketed any spot they could. Tuzic stood there for some time in silence, his eyes gazing between the trunks of the trees that enveloped him - he was looking for a sign… Though - nothing comes. He can’t help but notice his heart thumping loudly in his chest as he decides to trudge forth through the dense undergrowth. “Kozrol?” Tuzic asks into the forest in the ancient dwarven language. He continues wading through the sea of flora, but the only response he receives is the singing of the birds and the chirps and trills of the many insects that call the woods their home. Up ahead though, a clearing catches his eye through the branches. Tuzic lets out a sigh of relief as he finishes his trudge over to the grassy clearing, he walks out to its center to catch his breath. A smile crosses his face as he feels the warm sun beating down on his skin - but early into his moment in the sun, a chill runs up the forest dwarf’s spine… The birds weren’t singing… The insects were gone. It was silent. A bloodcurdling scream cuts through the forest “PA! HELP MEH!” “MAEVEN?! WHERE ARE YE LUV Oi’M ‘ERE!” Tuzic calls back in desperation at the sound of his daughter’s voice. Though his calls were answered only by the voice of another… “TUZIC WHERE ARE YE?” called the familiar voice. “GAREDYN ES T’AT YE? GAREDYN WEH WILL FIGHT ET TOGETHER COME TO MEH!” he calls back to his clan father in his strong dwarven accent… and again no response. The screams echo in Tuzic’s head as around him the forest quickly grew dark. His feet feel glued to the center of the clearing as the screams of his family and friends overlap - a cacophony of fear that seems to come from every corner of the darkened woods. “WHERE IS RENNY?” yells Crera. “TUZ? THEY’RE HERE.” shrieks Hana. “RUN!” shouts Erik. “T’EY GOT MEH GUILD!” Bodhi bellows. “THA FAE TREES!” Khazaefron screams. “CHIEF??” Thedmar calls out. “HELP US!” Cries Onora. The forest around Tuzic grows darker and darker as he sees flashes of movement darting through the trees… and he still can’t move. His eyes are drawn to the sky as the forest goes black. A total solar eclipse now hangs in the sky above him - the blazing celestial ring burns his eyes… though he doesn’t care. He understands. “Thyokk, kvinn eron anym.” he mutters. And with that, Tuzic returns from his vision… the forest dwarf breathes heavily and sweat pours down his face as he sits cross-legged in his cramped and overgrown cavern shrine. Roots and mosses creep through the stone, while small brown mushrooms peak through cracks here and there. The small cavern was silent… disturbed only by the occasional drip of water off the stalactites. The well-practiced seer of Hefrumm took time to steady his mind and his breath in the peaceful place before he began his climb to the surface. Symbols of the Brathmordakin line the cavern walls, and Tuzic mutters a prayer to each as he passes. A puff of spores is illuminated in a cloud as Tuzic stirs the air - clambering out of his hidden shrine. He coughs a bit before taking in a deep breath of fresh air and heading to Hefrumm. The Council of Seers must know of such an omen.
